- Pennsylvania Railroads high speed one-off Class S1 Duplex is now available for Train Simulator Classic, brought to us by developer DSGDDR - for free!
DSGDDR is also responsible for bringing us locomotives such as the J3A Hudson and the fantastic ATSF class 2900 released just last year.
This S1 was hand built from original blueprints and you'll need no other add-on except for Train Simulator itself - one and done.

Truly, this is a machine that ABSOLUTELY did not deserve to be scrapped.
My favorite Pennsy locomotive, and my favorite American locomotive is the PRR B6 class, an extremely powerful 6-wheeler switcher. But the S1 and the T1 are awesome locomotives too.
Despite how infamous it was, the PRR S1 is my second favorite steam locomotive. Great Video!

Your good! The maintenance lights do work it’s just hard to see them on that side. They open the hatch’s on the Skirted S1 too! I’m one of DSGDDRs pal and I’ll be sure to let him know what you think! he’s been waiting for this video but he’s off for now. I’m glad you enjoy it! There are so many sounds in that engine the Simulator doesn’t know what to do and prioritize what it think’s more important. So if you loaded the S1 again the chain for the sun roof will work! The water scoop also works and the tender coal bunker doors are animated depending on the level of coal the tender has and is fully open when empty and auto closes when refilling. He went crazy with this ^^
Also fun fact. The Headlights take longer to activate due to them going by the Animation speed of the lever of that little light box you pulled on near the HUD Lights Switch
@@carterstarlight4290 you and Mr Darlan did a really good job witg the S1 Mr Carter, i wonder what happened to the 3rd version that Darlan said he is inventing himself, just for asking, i shared the S1 with lots of people and they loved it too
@@carterstarlight4290 I really like the look of these, and like to use them but, Where do you install these to, I downloaded them but just .rwp files? This is the first time moding any steam game.
@@GenX-Gamore oh you use the Utilities program. You can make a shortcut of it from the Railworks folder and go to Package manager, press refresh as it stats you too and then when it’s done. Hit install ^^ and your all set

DSGDDR showed me a lot of the development of the S1 and for me it is crazy to see how it has come together. The next loco he is working on is the C&O L1
Well, it would have been the C&O L1 if it wasn't for the lack of a really suitable cab image that wasn't completely disassembled, instead it's the UP9000, at least for now, and then the Southern PS-4.

The amount of classic PRR locomotives for Train Simulator is insane, and I love all of them lol
Makes me want to try out making scenarios for Horseshoe Curve. Yeah, that route is old as hell, but I play MSTS content on Open Rails, so that doesn’t bother me lol
The S1 is too long to run on the Horseshoe Curve.
Now this even though it's free I'd pay 20$ for this, unlike other recent DLCs 👀🤣.

I downloaded this engine the moment I refreshed the DSGDDR site
and that 152 mph (245 kph) claim I did take this engine (no cars behind its tender) to the flat and level jet trains route for top speed testing purposes
and I did reach 152 mph (245 kph) and could do no more.
Hi. I was beta testing it (Nyvi) and trust me you can get more.
With DTM’s Broadway the train is able to hit 156-157mph on various router and 165mph on LGV.
@@crvcrfing oh well I don't do top speed tests on gradients only on flat level track and I only do it with just the engine itself (and tender if its a steamie).
Would you consider doing a video on the DSGDDR PRR I1s? Probably the best 2-10-0 for trains sim classic IMO.
If you noticed closely, the brake cylinders move, and the brake pads clamp onto the wheels
I'll be getting a model of a locomotive very similar to this, only that the one I'm going to get is the K4 Streamlined Locomotive. Keep up the awesome work man @

so anyone know thr fix to where it has a coupling issue with everu single passenger car? i bought the deluxe edition of tsc on steam and nothing is compatible
how did you get the carriages to connect i can only connect them to the font of the train

Just like in RL, in TSC this loco does not like tight bends. It derailed right off coming out of a siding where the curve was too tight. Be warned.
What a shame that we dont have a route between Chicago to Crestline and reverse, and oh boy she is speedy

Of course they have the right to charge for their products. You have the right to not purchase them. That's how this thing works.
@@straypacket true, but should you pay for DTM Products that don’t have the same quality and effort as DSGDDR, DW, or Reppo? That are almost broken out of the box?
@@Kamberry-1 That's up to each person. I might find value in something different than someone else - for example I'm not a big fan of the scenery, the locomotives, or the rolling stock on either of the Baltimore and Ohio Routes (Mountain Sub and Kingwood Branch). However I purchased each of those routes pretty much immediately - not even waiting for a Steam Sale - because I wanted the B&O specific signals to use in my own routes.
Another example - I don't particularly want or need some US routes, but if their assets are required in order to run some other freeware route, I will wait for a Steam Sale and buy them.
I am just curious as to whether SchauzahPowahz had a specific reason for not purchasing the Broadway Limited DLC - even if the reason is simply boycotting DTM or DTG or whoever. That's it.
@@straypacket right but his reasons for not buying the Broadway Limited stem from the fact, the locomotives are broken and don’t function properly, one of them doesn’t even have a working cab. Why should someone have to pay for a broken product that wasn’t even completely tested before release is what I’m saying.

You know the guys at DTG are watching these DLC developers and the content they release. Let’s face it DTG releases CRAP locomotives!! They could have a loyal following if they would just get their act together!

Anything from DTM is downright terrible that's why. DTM is known for his shitty dlcs. Just take a look at our friend's review of DTM's P40DC.

Thats weird, i never had an issue with the mods and DLCs, they always work
@@FranquitoMV2004 Out of memmory error no matter what i try it always crashes. And its only these engines. 1tb drive only has this game on it crash, no mods no dlc crash, game repair and download crash.
@@roland969 OOM error is about RAM, not disk.
