    HI, good video.
    My Bosch series 6 battery started getting weak after a few months, eventually I purchased a 6ah for it. The 6ah has also gotten weak and now only holds around 250mah. upon testing with a multi meter after a charge, it seams that the factory charger is overcharging the batteries slightly. normally a Lion battery 18v, 5s should be fully charged at 20.5v (4.1v per cell) and I am getting 20.65 - 20.7 on a full batt. I know that lithium batteries are quite fussy so I think this may be my culprit. I am returning the vacuum and 6ah battery for a change over. I own Bosch blue 18v tools with batteries from 3.0ah to 7.0ah and never had a problem like this.

    • @ninjafrozr8809

      For the Series 6, does the charger actually stop charging after it's full ? Or do we have to keep track of when it's full and then unplug it ? So what i'm asking is, is it safe to leave this plugged in 24/7 ?

    hei! what about suction power?

  • @giteshc123
    @giteshc123 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, I have the Athlet and its been great and very light to use. The main drawback is if you wish to use the tools. Its a right faff getting the brush head off and when connected to the hose, carrying the item is clumsy. I dont ever use it. Im looking to get the Flexxo 4, but not sure as to get the 21v or 25v version. Its £40 more for the 25V and im leaning towards that. Does anyone have one and what are their thoughts?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally the main difference on the higher voltage models is you get a slightly longer runtime. I would normally say to go for as longer runtime as you can get, as on the max suction the runtime will not be that long so at least if you have the higher spec model it will last longer.

    Question about Series 6 and 8 - do they have washable filters, or they need to be replaced?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They are normally washable now which is great, but you will find after several washes that they will need to be replaced. If you don't replace them then it can have an affect on the filtration of the vacuum.

    I have an Athlete Bosch. Bought in 2020. It has stopped picking up the dirt and doesn't seem to charge properly. It only works for 10 minutes before dying - It's cordless, 25.2v, lithium based. the filter to empty is not working. Can I get a replacement filter? I would remove the black bit, wash it then put it back...there was a lighter thing underneath, did that need washing as well? I feel a bit cheated as it doesn't charge properly and now I have to use dustpan and brush to clean my house,

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You will be able to get a replacement filter from Bosch themselves. If its not charging too then Bosch will be able to supply a charger as well.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The easier ones to move around would normally be the athlet as the weight is very low down. For suction and performance it would need to be the serie 6 or 8

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both are good on the pick up, i would say the Athlet has the edge on the suction performance but if you need it for the tools or to use it as a handheld vacuum then the Serie 6 is a lot better.

    I just bought a Bosch from John Lewis for my mum I am not sure if I pick the best one, its called athletic hygienic 25,2v I am not sure if I made the right choice please reply

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Athlet range of vacuums are very good and the suction is very good. The only thing to consider is if your mum needs to use the tools, as that is one downside as the head of the vacuum can be difficult to get off. Also using the vacuum can be difficult to hold especially if it is being used for the stairs. Hopefully your mum should be ok with it though.

    Would you recommend a Bosch unlimited series 6 Proanimal as a number 1 vacuum cleaner in a home with 2 big dogs, or do I need a ”regular” vacuum cleaner? 🤔 I have a robot vacuum cleaner but it does not clean dog hair out from carpets..

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Bosch unlimited series 6 will outperform the robot vacuum cleaner. Robot vacuums are good as an everyday quick vacuum but for more demanding floors especially with pets, you will find a proper cordless will be a lot better

    ...using the bosch flexxo 2 in 1. The manufacturing is not very solid and not well designed. Brushhead is obviosly very difficult to from clean inside. You have to find all hidden screws. Otherwise you have to get a new one. If you have animals, look for something better. I miss videos, that realy come to the details.
