  • Brands: Dyson V15, Samsung Jet 90, Tineco Pure ONE S12, SHARK Vertex, Roborock H7, LG A9, Ryobi One+, HART. Cordless vacuums tested on carpet for deep cleaning, small and large debris pickup and hair. Vacuums also tested for small and large debris pickup on hard flooring and crevice performance. Vacuums compared for CFM performance at the vacuum’s head, both sealed and unsealed, brush velocity, maximum run time on medium pile carpet, vacuum noise level, vacuum weight, and handle weight at 32 inches. I purchased all of the vacuums and supplies used to test the vacuums. So, thank you for supporting the channel.

Some good competitors to Dyson were absent from this one such as Numatic (HEN.100), Miele (HX1), Karcher (VC 4s), as well as some established brands such as Hoover & Bissell. I have two dogs and two cats, and the Shark was OK at picking up the fur, but eventually I saved enough to pay the extra and bought the Dyson. It does a better job, and cleans up much faster than the Shark ever did. If you can afford it, or are able to save up, it really is worth the extra expense in terms of how much time it will save you and how much cleaner it leaves your floors.

    We have the Samsung Jet 90. The Costco version came with a charging stand and an extra battery. After a year of use, it still works excellent. Two things: the deciding factor was the self emptying station and the superior filtration. The self empty station really makes the process easier. One minus is that the small wheels under the unit get clogged fairly easy but not a big deal. Parts: parts are cheap except the main roller is hard to find.

      In reality those vacuum power etc doesn't really mean much. It's all about those subjective test. But you know it's projectfarm he loves to get into those technical details.
      Like you can't just say you have a 1000 horse power car you are the fastest, anything below 1000 horse power is slower than you
      It's all about the best design to serve it's purpose.
      Like the test "sand extracted from crevice" is very unrealistic. In a regular house you don't have big deep crevice like that, mostly you are talking about slide door gap or door gap etc.
      That's why the accessory comes into place to help you, you don't just use that same head and expect it to work in literally everything, there's no perfect head for everything.
      You can argue say Dyson V15 is the best, but does it worth two sharks? I don't think so

      @@genrr2361 I don't see it as just the price of the vacuum cleaner, but also as the price of my time. I had a cheaper brand for a while, but bought the Dyson to speed up my cleaning time. Sure, it is $300 more than the Shark, but it saves me about 20 minutes a day, which over a 5 year lifespan of the cleaner works out at more than 600 hours save. In other words, it costs me less than 50 cent to save an hour of cleaning time, which I think is great value.

It was our only vacuum for most of that time, only recently being joined by a roomba to make life a little easier. It’s also great how Dyson actually supports self repair. I literally just bought the LG A9, I’ve been really pleased with it. Super quiet. It works well for dust and pet hair on my hard floors. I chose it over the dyson because it has replaceable batteries, came with a stand, and you don’t have to keep the button pressed for suction. Awesome video!

    • @censored-admin
      @censored-admin ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My initial thought at the end was that with the LG purchase, you could spend the saved $ on more batteries or accessories / attachments... Or buy 2 and have a vacuum ballet with your SO or trick your kids to a cleaning contest, "which ever one of you gets the most done gets an extra scoop of ice cream / 1st choice of pie slice etc". LOL

      I've had the LG A9 for a yr and half and use it daily. It's been a great vacuum. Mine came from Costco, and came with 2 batteries. The brush head really does a great job of resisting hair wraps and it does a great job in carpet even on low power mode. With both batteries it can also run a long time. The stand will charge both batteries too, but one one at a time. The battery in the vacuum charges 1st, then the spare in the stand. It's really cool, every time you need it both batteries are full.
      At its price point in don't think it can be beat. With the saving a small shop vac can handle the big junk and you are atill money ahead of the Samsung or Dyson.

      I've got 2 Dyson's (V7 and V8) and i absolutely hate them. I've heard the V10+ are very good, but i hate the cheap feel and non repairablity of them. I can't even use the V7 on max suction anymore.
      Wouldn't mind trying the LG one.. though I've had a fair few LG issues in my life too.
      Maybe I'll get one from the tool brands - just for the battery

      I was looking into a cordless stick vacuum for a while but ended up going with a canister vacuum instead. My house is mostly hard floors and nothing beats the maneuverability of a canister head and having a bagged vacuum is really nice since I don't need to empty it often and it creates less of a dust plume when emptying. Definitely worth checking out canisters if you don't need cordless.

    The surging on the higher end models is heat protection. They spin so fast they can overheat super quick, so if a complete clog is detected, they cut power. So it's likely it would have gone higher, though it would need some air passing through, tough to test.

    I think there’s one key factor you’re missing on the cheerios and goldfish test. The Dyson has an adjustable brush head to tackle different levels of carpet. Had that been all the way retracted it may have done better in that test. Just something I noticed as a Dyson owner

    • @NeoteriX
      @NeoteriX ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Agreed, there are two "gates" that can be opened at the front of the brush head for larger objects-it is ultimately the compromise one must make. A head that has a better seal will pull up small dust and dirt more effectively, but exclude larger bits like cereal, and a brush that can take on larger bits like cereal will not have as performant a seal because of the larger openings. A manual selection is not a perfect solution, but is at least one that allows the user to determine which use case they are optimizing for.
