19:49 There's actually a backstory about this "lifesaving maneuver" that Bishop did to save Guts... According to the now-forgetten Novel *"The Last Ace"* which is a prequel to Ace Combat Assault Horizon written by the ACAH Story Writer and American Techno-Thriller Author *Jim DeFelice,* his Novel covers Bishop's backstory in the Bosnian War where he served alongside his C.O. Colonel Skull Scranton, his F-16 was hit after downing multiple MiGs, he orders Bishop shoot his canopy after inverting since the seat wouldn't fire because the Canopy was jammed. Bishop does so and Scranton was able to eject, the only bad thing is...he does get rescued...but only for his rescue helo he got in...was shot down by a MANPAD. This would be the same feat that Bishop would repeat again in the events of the game in the mission *"Home Front".* *The more you know..."*
Man. Reading that makes me realize Bishop isn’t so different from his Strangereal counterparts. Only difference is that he talks. Didn’t know Assault Horizon had a Prequel Novel.
What I wouldn't give for a 20-minute-long furball that's set to the Fighter soundtrack and full of moments where both you and your allies (airborne or surface-based in the latter case) trade turns in bailing the other out of a pinch. Can you imagine being pulled into a DFM against a stubbornly evasive enemy, and a ground AA unit frantically hails you to herd that enemy towards their location so that they can either shoot them down or at least significantly damage and slow them down?
Despite the corny story, the cheese annoying dialogue, how bonkers everything is and the restrictive gameplay... the level of action and the music, SPECIALLY the music, makes this game shines more than any right that it has to be. I still remember how hyped everyone was with that Raptor Vs Felon face off in this mission.
Literally. But it doesn't mean the game sucks, i mean dfm and tgt_leads kinda make it trash, but who cares this looks fun as fuck after infinity is gone :(

Damn i would like a digital novel of this and actually read it before playing AH. Atleast when i either have both copies of this and the game.
Crazy bastard did it _twice?_

Here we are, tutorial mission again except it's real. It's not a dream anymore.
