- The goal was to make this table lamp look like something from a machinist workshop. Kind of the opposite of restoring it I guess. It's also worth noting that this is my first time using all these techniques so, do with that what you will. I wanted it to go along with the desk that we made, to make it look more Industrial, old and worn.

As long as you have the tools, and proper space (and of course the motivation and time resources) a lot can be done.
I did my custom desk in my 18m2 living room. Those were days of hell. Between me, and my wife cursing me over that initiative. :D

@@byferner It is still doing well but in a well time I am starting a month holiday. Want to deconstruct everything and start over. The paint, install new body under the table (for sterydy construction). Re design the cable management, two monitors hanging, relocate the laptop and Pc

COOL! In the middle of a Steampunk project in my shop…painted the wall faux wood planks with 2” gaps on about a 15’ x 28’ wall w/ 2 shop doors. I got first coat of copper on 1 door….am in the middle of scuff sanding the second door. Turning both doors into steampunk…will be painting fake rivets and such. We have an office attached to the shop with a small wooden desk that is over 100 years old… has the look of the wood you did on your desk video. I can picture that lamp in our office-I could see doing this project as I already have the same lamp but its white. I usually working on at least 3 project at any given time, also converting a computer desk chair into a steampunk chair.
