- Building this cabinet has been one of those projects that wanted to get done for a long time, but it wasn't all that exciting, so we kept postponing it. Until now, it's finally done! I really enjoy the process of making stuff look old. Especially making wood and metal look weathered and old.
The stain on the cabinet door turned out a little darker than I wanted. But I was really happy with the weathered wood texture we got with the wire brush on the drill, to give that rustic antique look we wanted. I was also surprised how close I could get to a hand forged look on the store bought hinges!
We'll probably repaint it in the near future, as well as adding a shelf and what ever seem to fit best in there when it comes to storage.

My constructive criticism is the hinges are not correctly spaced out and also if you use this for Wifi signal usually you need spacing , holes on the side of cabinet or mesh so the signal goes through.

Yeah, you’re right. I completely forgot about hinges when I put the nails in there first.
I was a little concerned about the WiFi too, but after a few tests before and after it’s no noticeable difference. It’s a pretty small apartment too so, maybe that’s why 😊
