The best KSP builder I have ever watched! May I ask a few quick questions? What mods/setting did you use to make everything go in a certain path? Such as the boosters, or line ups with the cargo/items to connect, I am intrigued to find out. If you can answer even just 1 of these questions that would be so awesome! Keep up the AMAZING content!
Not a pain at all! I'm glad to get questions like this. The booster flyback and landing was done with the mod "Booster Guidance" alongside Mechjeb and SmartParts to initialize the initial boostback autonomously. I also used a combination of manual control and Mechjeb for docking (Mechjeb's docking guidance is notoriously inefficient). I used Near Future Launch Vehicles for the majority of the launch vehicle (engine mount, fuel tanks, engines, etc.) The engines were methalox - which is not the most efficient fuel but it's very dense, so a given fuel tank mass can contain a much larger fuel mass than, say, hydrolox. However, this stuff about fuel types and such really only applies to Realism Overhaul and not stock KSP. When I first started playing (2012), I just kept trying out different things until I found what worked xD, I just recommend taking a look at other stockish players' craft and try to integrate their principles into your own, while learning from them of course.
