Looks brilliant. You can make raised beds from a wooden sand pit or use wooden sleepers or make your own veg boxes. Also you can use plant pots for herbs and tomatoes.

Looks great. We have the opposite challenge: our soil is basically fine sand mixed with peat. We have a large raised bed and a huge collection of planting pots with store bought soil for most veggies, but potatos and all our berries must do with the original soil and compost until now.
Where my parents live the earth is almost as heavy and dense as yours.
My dad always wanted to give me gardening tipps when we moved here. By now we've just wondering how different our gardens are and how one's "why does it die in my garden? I want it!!!" is the other's "how do I get rid of that infestation???"
