There are very few with very short length; so of course they'll be stellar. Imagine how expensive it would be to have Blur animate a whole series. Not saying it would be bad; just saying that nobody pays nearly that much for series these days.
I've taken shits that were better than the show, the did the halo 4 movie well, legends is awesome, the fall of reach is also really well done, breaks my heart.
That tv show betrayed the rule of never show chiefs face and therefore can not be considered canon to the timeline
Halo wars by far had the best cutscenes cinematography and the story was fire

@Aszkalon Well, for the whole Human-Covenant war, the Covenant saw all Spartans as something other than human; faceless and emotionless demons, first proven when the Arbiter (Thel 'Vadam before he was the Arbiter) ran into Jai-006 in The Cole Protocol.
Got to give Atrox some credit he managed to take out two Spartan 2’s in their prime on his own.

Atriox is a beast and a tactical genius all in one. Even Chief had some hard times dealing with him and his banished. The brutes always fight the enemies head on without any strategies but Atriox is different he try to know his enemies first then carefully and swiftly deal a massive blow by ambushing and blitzing enemies he can even take down the Infinity.... Mankind greatest achievement and Cortana's Guardian. Man has my respect he is a worth foe for Chief

@@Shocknfunk Microsoft forced 343 to cut the cut scene that showed the Infinity going toe to toe with a guardian and winning, then Atriox's fleet jumping it well, it was still hurt (you can see the destroyed guardian (MAC holes visible) in Infinite if you can get to the right ridge line) and some of the early leaked cut senses show a very un-release ready clip of the fight (to bad Microsoft DMCAd them)

Anyone with enough money to bankroll something like this inevitably gets co-opted by far left ideologues who hand the project over to fanfic quality writers who are more concerned with pushing agendas and inserting propaganda than respecting the source material and telling a good story.

How come they NEVER pick THESE people to write TV shows or Movies.... Game lore/stories are always SO MUCH better told.
They just care about promoting their forced inclusion political agenda
Different skillsets. Making one self-contained short cinematic requires different kinds of storytelling and expertise than making a full-length movie and one entirely different than making a show.
This cinematic is great in a vacuum. But the moment you apply drawn out storytelling your priorities which elevate such short scenes are no longer applicable.

Why the fuck wasn’t this ever used from 4-now? Look at dat shit. It’s fuggin great. They had this material to go off from for years but no let’s just not bother. Couldn’t even try to play with any base defense mechanics for those outposts you capture nope just fast travel zones with a weapon wheel. Order any platoons to go out and bring back resources or gear to fortify bases? Nah you rescue squads for side chores towards and achievement.
Like here’s an idea they could’ve done since they want to copy/paste aspects like this half baked open world map in infinite: why not copy the invasion mechanic from souls? I’ll do you better: raid outposts like MGS5 but as a customized Brute soldier doing missions for the banished. You can make an outpost that is designed for multiplayer invasions and even come to defend it as chief while another player is suppose to raid it for resources and Intel on the UNSC along with halo. Can even nab some marines or medical officers that you may have need for tending to your troops across the war front that are guarding your fortified bases. That would’ve been a nice mix up for a multiplayer mode when you’re not in the mood for the usual classic competitive style and may want to just go try your luck in decimating someone’s base. Could even give an option that you can build a big base that involves multiple players to invade/project for some interesting pvpve

I strongly feel that Spartans should be carrying something that shoots 50 cal at high speed or a 450 bushmaster, they could handle it, hell a normal human could.
they were fighting a war where 7.62 was plenty to kill 99% of the things they faced, but for the few, it wasn't if you got enough people firing 7.62 on them, their armor would break
and 50 is a larger round and heavier, so soldiers who could not count on resupply would need to bring as much with them as they could so 50 tho would have been helpful here, here is an edge case

that fight scene seemed pretty cool too bad it wasn't lit. honestly the Spartans can see in low light and have night vision so would their enemies...no culture simultaneously enjoys mood lighting and uses it exclusively for ship lights. what im trying to get at here is you rendered all the characters and choreographed it right? so show it to us. crank that gamma 10 % i wont tell.
