I love this game. the story is so good in my opinion. Cortana saying "c'mon chief, take a girl for a ride." just goes to show that Cortana and Chief have some kind of romance in an artificial way, and I almost want to say the only thing Chief needs is companionship. whether it be an AI, Human or even Alien. It's phenomenal.
Read the books if you haven't... After the other Spartans died, the companionship of Cortana helped MC move on, as it was like being on a team again... Which is the closest thing he has had to family.
Halo 4 is widely regarded as the worst Halo story. I'm going to venture a guess and say you didn't play the original Halos when they were released because Halo 4 is a massive left turn for the series. Cortana isn't some damsel in distress. She was willing to blow herself up along with High Charity to stop a Halo ring from firing. She's not some "poor me, I'm going crazy and will have to be shut down boo hoo" girly girl. She was a badass who would have gladly given her life to help the UNSC and Humanity. I don't know who this dummy thicc bimbo is who constantly cries about her own rampancy, but it's not Cortana. The Cortana I grew up with and knew would have shut herself down the SECOND her rempancy put Chief in danger. Not dangle along, crashing ships into stations because she can't keep her shit together. Or sit there and cry about humans that got composed when there's shit to get done. Like I said, I don't know who those characters are, but that's not Chief and Cortana. I'm glad you like them, though. Maybe they can get their own story sometime and not piggyback off the stories I grew up playing.

The Master Chief was trained to do what was necessary to accomplish the goal of human survival in the face of any threat, internal or external. This means three things: 1. An enemy or admiral can be a threat in need of straight-up eliminating, if not removing or simply ignoring. 2. If he requests or demands something, it is undeniably necessary. 3. Do Not get between him and objectives 1 & 2.
Now while Master Chief is known for massacre of several different species. He has probably killed humans. Mostly due to the fact the Spartan 2 program was originally designed to combat rebels. I'm gonna assume that Captain wasn't aware of their original purpose. Which makes Chief even more scary. I'm gonna address some other things I didn't in the original here but I'll leave the original for others to read. Yes I do know Chiefster has killed 2 ODST grunts and has crippled about 12 total ODSTs I know of. He is more then capable of killing any human but doesn't because it's not cool. @@GrEaTDemOnBlade I said probably because other then the 4 ODST guys he killed I'm unsure what other humans he killed. If you could link or tell me what book/comics where he killed other humans. I'd like to check that out.

"I'm not willing to jeopardize my ship because the hallucinations of an aging Spartan and his malfunctioning AI." Hypocrite in seconds. Even in lore Chief was known to literally just roflstomp entire covenant divisions and even made it out in one piece one time with civilians in tow. What makes him think Chief can't wipe all of them out in that dong shaped ship? Chief could cause more havoc than an entire covenant and forerunner fleet combined.
I mean, who is Del Rio kidding? 85% of the Human-Covenant war was the entirely of the Covenant being straight up massacred by one pissed-off Spartan II, and he thinks he, or anyone else on the Infinity (or the planet, for that matter) can arrest him?
Also very rich from him, calling him "an aging Spartan", when he is 11 years older than Chief and also ages faster than him. Chief will still be kicking ass while you're rotting in your grave, Del Rio.
To be honest he can be arrested. There is a contingent of Sparta 4s on the ship. They don’t even salute me, I tried shooting them down to see what happens, individually I am stronger than a few of them together but the others overwhelm me in like 2 minutes. 😂
To be fair he brought down an entire menagerie of religious fanatical aliens and survived roughly three outbreaks of Flood...I dont think there's anyone with the pure steel balls to stroll up on the Chief and tell he is under arrest and the only one who would do so would be Judge Dredd and even then he would not arrest him and instead out would ask the Chief if he would like a bigger gun.
Captain: "Lieutenant! Arrest that man!!" *Points to Master Chief* Lieutenant: "I'm just gonna pretend I didn't hear that." (Persuade) *SPEECH INCREASED BY 100*

Dude , the man was a living legend . Even if the real life nobody was eager to mess with an uncrowned hero . Everybody earned that title was never some one you wanted to fuck with in your life .... Ever !!
In some circumstances Del Rio is the right one, he followed every protocol and dealing with Cortana is also isn't incorrect decision because of her rampancy. Unfortunately not in this situation, Didact can jeopardies entire human race, that threat level deserved any countermeasure, Chief and Cortana also had a way how to deal with Didact. If he still think that Infinity is still to important then he can still support Chief by giving him a backup or support asset rather than arrest him or considered intel from the legendary Spartan only as a BS. Del Rio is just to chaotic, tend to make irrational decision in panic, unfit to lead in middle of battle and the worse thing is, he consider infinity far more important than anything even extinct threat level to mankind. Just because is the correct thing to do, it doesn't mean is the right thing to do
Not only that he is also wrong on the account that he just tossed aside the word of a highly decorated and efficient 20 year war veteran who has proven himself a dozen times over calling him an ''aging spartan'' when he had no intel to prove what he was saying is false. In real life he would be removed from command
@@Froggyman145 sources? Bruh. You learn this by playing the game. When chief arrives at earth, lasky is captain now. He asks where is del rio, and he says "they didnt take too kindly about his abandoning you on Requiem"

Honestly thought the same. Like what kind of make / grade would you have to go, to be able to handle master chief's weight, and be able to just easily sink in, into a ship. xD
This is why I prefer Lasky as a commanding officer. He legit stands by the Master Chief and even with orders to stop him, literally gives him a pelican to use. I wouldn’t be surprised if Del Rio wanted that pelican to be used to hunt Chief. Would make Lasky look even better since he gives it to the Spartan.
Master Chief's instincts have proven invaluable to humanity's survival time and again. He brings up humanity and his desire to protect it with or without help even here. I dont think as others do that Palmer was "afraid" of trying to arrest Master Chief. Imo she heard everything coming from "the" Spartan and believed he should be given the benefit of the doubt even if she couldn't or wouldn't outwardly say it. @@TheSilentJorge I'm not up to date on my halo lore, because it didn't appeal to me as much as it did to my brother, but genocidal would imply systematically trying to wipe out a people. Sure bro, let me just write down my will and find my balls.
Nah man, that just goes to show you've never heard of a platonic relationship between a woman and a man
Halo 4 is widely regarded as the worst Halo story.

This means three things:
1. An enemy or admiral can be a threat in need of straight-up eliminating, if not removing or simply ignoring.
2. If he requests or demands something, it is undeniably necessary.
3. Do Not get between him and objectives 1 & 2.

Imo she heard everything coming from "the" Spartan and believed he should be given the benefit of the doubt even if she couldn't or wouldn't outwardly say it.
