If I took a rope, wrapped it around a heavy object and tied it then wrapped the rope around me just to give me lead way, then walked out into the water in a rip current, the rip current couldn't take me out to sea because of the rope.
I could experience a rip current that way, then use the rope to pull myself back to shore.
Or am i missing something.
