Thanks for the review. One correction if I may..............SERT is a US company based out of northern VA, that has been around for 20+ years. Background is mostly weapons cases going back to the first TCC in 2003; end users have included the Marines, FBI, etc (run a search on AR15, SnipersHide, etc). Alpha One Niner is the 3rd brand launched by the company, more focused on EDC.
I find it to be very similar to the GR1. However, the Penumbra is much wider with a greater depth, allowing it to be packed out much more than the GR1. It's a very deep bag.
It looks pretty and all - but what is my incentive to buy it? There's nothing we haven't seen before. At this point there are hundreds of different bags in especially the 20-30 liter range and I don't see anything that sets it apart.
I agree there is much competition at this range. What sold it for me is the dual water bottle compartments and the similarity to a GR1 and a Citadel but without the cost (I again got it on the secondary market).
Hi!Are you interested in metal wallets? We would like to invite you to do a review. Our new Glow Wallet is a unique design on the market. Our wallet is equipped with fluorescent tubes that charge with sunlight during the day and emit light at night. It's distinctive! Additionally, we have reserved a spot for a lanyard, allowing you to DIY a rope on the cardholder. If you're interested, please reply with your email, and we can discuss the cooperation details in more depth. Looking forward to your reply.
@@Heavy_Pockets I don't think its pricey at all. It's much better than the usual GR1 offerings and other bag prices around that range. Although I do own Azo Equipment bags and those are in a different ballpark of price.
thank you for this review
Good bag. Awesome review. 👍
Thanks for the vid!
Looks solid

How does this compare to a 21l GR1? Both 21l bags but in practical terms, does one have greater capacity than the other?

@@Heavy_Pocketsthanks!
How comfortable is it compared to a GR1? How slick is the back panel? Is it a slippery 500D, or is it rougher like the goruck 500D back panels?
@@doorbox788 It's pretty comparable in my opinion. Maybe just a bit slicker but pretty similar to Goruck.

The "patch" that comes with the bag is called a silencer.
