The broadcast, from the studio in Omdurman in the north-west of the capital, was quickly taken off air and it is unclear what happened next. There have been clashes between the Sudanese military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces following days of rising tensions. The RSF claimed it had gained control of the international airport and the presidential palace after an attack on its military place in south Khartoum.

"it is calm here"
...along with "it's quiet" and "it's been a great day so far" and the like, are almost always statements that at best are tempting fate and at worst famous last words.

Prayers from Morocco to our brothers and sisters in Sudan.
Praying for my dear neighbours. Sudanese are lovely people, may peace prevail. 🇪🇹❤️🇸🇩
Can you summarise the crisis that's happening rn I only that the official military is fighting against a paramilitary
Peace + peace = rest in peace
From my understanding as a foreigner, there are two military wings fighting each other while the general public want a third option: civilian rule not a military rule.

What’s the news presenter’s name? Seems a bit disrespectful to not go to the trouble of adding that to the description.
This isn’t a regular day in Sudan trust me.
The countries that still have some journalism and integrity would have to face such challenges.

@@Poosley Country's with real journo's doing there job face challenges.
In western world only in name is a free press but for real it is worse than in USSR....
@@Triggernlfrl Don't generalize like that. "The West" is not a monolith. Yes, I agree that the state of journalism has degraded, but its still very free in terms of global standards. And western journalist aren't inherently lazy or craven; journalist are still persecuted and ridiculed for their investigative work. The way the U.S. Congress lambasted and arrogantly dismissed Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger of Twitter Files-fame is a great example. Most likely the FBI and others are looking to quell their voices as a result of their work.
@@johkupohkuxd1697 exactly. I can't fathom why people think of "Western media" as one singular entity when its perspectives are proportional to different regions or nations. Even then, the Western hemisphere of the world comprises of so many countries, they can't just bring in different states and say, "Muh Western media hurduuurr".
Yes
but not this channel because during the protests they were showing their regular shows such as music and comedic stuff as if nothing was happening outside and now because this is the army's battle they support the army although they were the cause of this problem
If this guy is still alive after the situation dies down, I think he deserves a promotion and a large pay raise.
Looks frightened whilst bravely trying to stay calm doing his job
That timing couldn’t have been worse
Admire the cool professionalism, but he literally said “the situation is calm in the studio”, while there was a gun fight raging next to him.

Keep Calm and Carry On
He was doing his very best, poor soul, to use neutral language. It doesn’t seem very likely that he survived this, since they obviously came in firing rather than giving orders.
Do you know this for a fact or you just assuming. You wouldn't even know if that was outside the studio or inside. Hopefully they are okay. That casual statement with probably not a second thought to it is what's wrong then the world today life is cheap and people seem to think that is now a form of entertainment for their benefit
Lets' not jump to conclusions bro.
@@jaytripoli2057 Get off your high horse! In what way was the statement casual?! YOU CAN HEAR GUNFIRE COMING CLOSER INSIDE THE BUILDING!! You can see he is terrified but trying to use moderate and very strictly factual language.
In what way is your “hope they are okay” somehow morally superior to me saying, “poor soul, it doesn’t seem very likely he survived?”
Do you jot understand why the feed cut out?!!
Do you jot understand that must have been done by force?!!
dont assume. rumors are often taken as fact. Do you know if they came inside the studio?
He survived trust me on that one , the Sudanese broadcasters are always protected in state of emergency we have went through

Eight days ago; do we know what happened? Is everyone safe? Is the station back on the air?
I hope they are still safe after happened this has broadcast interrupted.

Bro really went everything's ight while gunshots were heard outside 💀
Leave to western sources to NOT translate the beginning as it was but to use subtitles as a mere "hello and welcome"👏
These types of report feels like a apocalyptic event is happening

🤔 Military and paramilitary? But why they are fighting 🤔
Time for Google search
For power and enterpreneurship 😢
Well, power.
The same as always. Since its creation less than a century ago, Sudan has experienced continuous civil wars, successful/unsuccessful coups, genocides and a secession that ended up with the creation of South Sudan in 2019. Basically Sudanese people can't stay a year without killing each other.
Well it's power and wealth
This is the video version of the "everything is fine" meme.
I remember one year ago in April 2022 I saw Sudanese news television in Arabic, which was still stable, running well but now it's gone
