He even tried to lie to me about my best friend talking shit about me. We tried helping her for over a year, and we had to cut her off for a while, but we didn't want to. She eventually left him and we talk now but not as much as we used to. If your wondering how old the guy was he was 16 and she was 14.
It is stories like these that remind us in 49 US states, you can get away with almost any crime with nearly zero punishment......unless you're in Texas, in which case that 21 year old would likely be dealt with the correct way and would not be able to bother anyone again.
Even though he only had to pay a fine, there is now a record of his involvement with a minor. So hopefully the next time, this will establish a pattern and will get him in much more trouble... And also ensure that he won't be working with minors

But I never even reached out to them, I just texted one of them, since he was still my friend. And I’d only send him memes and stuff, turns out he gave them my new Discord user just to have them talk trash to me, telling me to go “kms” and stuff. But I didn’t care. I told them to continue believing the stuff that the same guy that lied to them about something as major as age, for two years, said. Then I blocked them, after explaining I never pretended anything, I had indeed tried to take my life away, but for family and financial problems, never because of them.

If a kid wants a phone bad enough, they will get one, either brand new for cheap or used for free from their friends. I feel bad for OP's best friend, i doubt she knew any of this till the sudden lawsuit that formed, i hope she cut ties with her son.. I would love any childeren I had, but doing this.. I wouldn't accept it..
