I would mention getting new cards just for the signup miles bonus. Capital one has some good cards such as venture rewards with 90k signup bonus miles.
My wife just moved to the US in July 2022 with no credit score/history. Applied for a secured Capital One QuickSilver and put down a $300 deposit. She kept usage at 7% and by October 2022 she had generated a 720 credit score. By December 2022 she was invited to apply for a Capital One Savor One and got approved with a $3500 credit limit and she keeps usage below 10%. June 2023 and Chase invited her to apply for the Freedom Unlimited, she got approved with a $4000 limit. Now she has a 768 credit score. All that in essentially a year.
I just got approved for the reserve and my eyes also popped at the credit line - 33k. Absolutely insane haha your videos are helpful for navigating how to take advantage of the card! thank you!!!
Can you please provide a timeline on your credit journey? Which money in 2017 you started applying for Citi secured card and when did you get the Chase unlimited and subsequently Chase reserved? Thanks!
*There is no such thing as traveling for 'free' using credit tradelines; its at best a discount, even if your employer reimburses your travel expenses on your tradelines, you still had to do the work in order to spend, and receive reimbursement, in order to receive those points.* *And points are not 'earned', but rather are purchased with your spend, they are a kickback.*
I have a good credit score of 764/900 but still companies want me to open a Fixed deposit in their banks and are giving the total amount deposited as the credit limit for me.As of now I have hold on to the idea of getting credit card because, I rarely use my debit card 😅 as all of my payments are made with Google pay app. Happy that you were able to increase your credit score 😊
Ja, ich opfere ein paar Stunden an meinen Wochenenden (meine Arbeitstage haben es momentan richtig in sich und da chille ich nach der Arbeit lieber) aber macht mir mega Spaß :)
How would you go about getting into the business credit card world ? I did apply and get approved for Chase ink cash which is an awesome card. But i do wish yo expand more. Do you reckon opening up a business checkings account and depositing money at (US Bank for example) will give me better odds ? i don’t want to keep applying for cards and getting denied. My credit is low 700s and 2% utilization across all cards (total of 4)
Hey Maria random question, For the Bilt card, how do you setup your bills to be paid on the 1st? Do you just simply ask them to change the due date? I saw your blog post about which card you use for different expenses and noticed you had bilt getting 2x for rent day for certain utilities

Anything I missed while building credit? Any new cards out there that I should mention?

It is not too shocking once you consider that $10k is the minimum credit line for the Reserve, but still a very nice surprise to be sure.
I think first rule is to avoid credit and make budget and try limit to available resources.
Your advice are spot on as always.
Another fantastic video! Thank you for sharing this information.
I would love to hear you talking about motivation crisis, job boredom and how to manage all that when it comes up
Ok thank you, I’ll see what I can put on the schedule :)

Well, I'm spending that money regardless so I'd rather get something in return for it :)

Good job!!! Time & patience 👏👏👏👏👍🤗🤗🤗
The capital one bank is also easier to get approved with low credit scores
Yeah I mentioned it in my description box. I think that’s the intro card I’d opt for now too!
Ich dachte immer dass Führungskräfte wenig Zeit haben, aber du bist ja ein Arbeitstier Job, TH-cam, Tiktok, wahrscheinlich auch Instagram 😅

Hi!) Do you think 1 year of credit history is enough to get approved for Preferred or Reserve? ( 6 months Freedom Unlimited)
Thank you!

Yeah for Verizon I just went on the website and changed the due date. Super easy!
