Hi, my landlord is asking me to specify if the account I will be using is checking or savings account, but Bilt credit card is neither. Do you have some advice on what to put it under? Thanks!
I applied and got denied as well. I have a 700+ credit score and this was my first time being denied by a card ever. When I asked why I was denied, they claim they couldn’t verify my identity and the documents that I sent in for verification was not valid despite following the instruction to send in pay stubs and year to dates.
Hi Maria great video! I do have a question though, will this BILT card work if your pay the landlord on Venmo? I am a bit confused on how this card works if you have private landlord vs the typical an apartment or managing company.
Yes, here’s the official link that explains how: support.biltrewards.com/hc/en-us/articles/6561447272717-I-pay-rent-by-check-Paypal-Venmo-Zelle-can-I-still-use-the-Bilt-Mastercard- :)
Can this be done in Europe too? I'm an expat and would love to pay my rent with a credit card. All landlords however use direct debit and would never accept credit card.
I am a homeowner, but my daughter is in college and I pay her rent. Do you know if I can use the Bilt card to pay her rent? My name is not on the lease, but I am a guarantor of the lease.
This is my first time hearing about the loyalty program. If I want to use that to pay rent with my CSP do they still waive the fees, or do they charge you for using a credit card if it isn’t theirs?

Maria thanks for your video is so greatly appreciated. I pay rent via direct debit, my landlord withdraw the funds from my checking account. If I provide him with the Bilt account/routing numbers may do the trick. What are your views on this?
I have an investment property but decided against buying in NYC because of the high cost and taxes for everything here + I want to stay flexible with my own home
@@techmentormaria This is the way. IMHO, too many people over-index on investment growth vs lifestyle fit when considering their primary home. If they align, great. But why not separate them if you can max both!

Is this video sponsored ? That’s fine if it is, but I can’t tell. I’m I’m trying to figure out what they get out of this and I’m guessing it’s just just being able to track all your purchases and sell that data to other companies.
As she says, Bilt acts as the middle man. It will sit between the landlord and the tenant and earn money. Tenants can now 'afford' to pay rent as they pay other things using credit cards, namely using minimum balance payments and Bilt will earn the Interest. This works because a significant fraction of people do not pay their statement balance in full. If you are among the minority who pay it in full then you get rewarded for your financial discipline. As for selling your information, no one can really tell which company is doing it and which company is not. Do we really trust any of them?
Does this card allow you to save YOUR PERSONAL would be rent money on other things? Im asking if the card pays your rent with your own hard earned money but just put in a card to give you points ? Or does the card pay your rent using the banks money?
The rent payment is more like a Debit Transaction, linked to your Checking Account. But, all other uses are Credit Card purchases, and the payment system works identically. So, the big bonus with Bilt is that you get points for paying rent, and no transaction fees, like the fees with Plastiq.
I signed up for Bilt rewards and linked my cards to my account. How do I get reward points? Everything I see on the site says I have to have a Bilt card to get any points.
If you use the cards you linked(bilt wallet) at one of their dining partners you get 5x bilt points in addition to whatever rewards you get from the credit card. If you link your Lyft acct to bilt, you get 2x bilt points. You don’t need the bilt Mastercard.
This card has been extremely problematic. From simple registration to costumer service to a complete utter failure of communication via phone. Why do none of the reviewers discuss this. I can give you a full account of my experience & I’ve had the card less than 1 month
The points are only 1/2%. So 3 points is 1.5%. I currently use a Visa card that pays 2.5%. This is better even with a credit card payment fee. So if you say you're getting 2 points on your Wifi, that's 1%. Again, I pay Wifi with the 2.5% card for 2 and a half times more cash.

You can call and get someone fairly quickly, I think I was on hold maybe 5 mins middle of the day east coast time. It’s a Wells Fargo card so when you call Bilt I believe it eventually goes to them for support.

Hi, my landlord is asking me to specify if the account I will be using is checking or savings account, but Bilt credit card is neither. Do you have some advice on what to put it under? Thanks!
It’s a checking account. The Bilt app gives you a “checking account” so you can use that.
