There was a financial paper showing the cost and numbers they had, and that was in the hundreds of missiles, mostly cluster warheads, and the HIMARs were no longer produced years ago because they anticipated HIMARs replacement, but of course the ESG/DIE affirmative action hires failed to deliver.

Could it be that except for the failed replacement program until recently called the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) supposibly now created, tested and available for combat yet not sent to Ukraine, so far the NATO weapon systems across the board is shite?
What the US does have that is superior to the Russians because they completely fk'd up, is the space based ISR and communication systems that can see every soldier and piece of equipment and maybe even times they fart on the battlefield. That should have guaranteed NATO's success in this war... And don't tell me you think after 4 armies being defeated, Ukraine has any more men left to fight.
Even the UK, Baltic states, France and Idr the other nations have now come out publicly saying they will be sending their active duty troops no longer sheep dipped, straight up into Ukraine to find their burial plots. FAB-6000 is currently being tested with a planning and correction module, and there are a lot of them in warehouses since the Soviet era. By this summer, we will see their work, especially considering that Ukraine has almost no air defense left.

The thing with UMPK kit is not about it being some very advanced weapon. It's that Russia has enormous piles of those bombs left from Soviet era, many produced back in 1950s. And with this inexpensive kit they convert those dumb bombs to not as precise as they would like, but still guided weapons that can be fired from afar where Ukrainian air defense does not work. Also they are very difficult to intercept. So it's a very cheap guided weapon with explosive payload larger than almost any non ballistic missile.

Поправлю... Суть в том, что крылья позволяют скинуть бомбу не входя в зону действия пво... Поэтому их как раз используют там где оно может быть или точно есть... Но самолет поразить уже не может, так как он сбросил груз на пределе досягаемости... А дальше уже бомбы сами долетают...

The real thing that is allowing Russia to dominate the battlefield is their efficient military production. I bet the average cost of a munition in Russia is 5-10% of what they cost in the USA or UK. That plus the fact Russia probably has triple the production capacity of the US or UK. Those differences are so staggering that in a real world war, it would totally tip the scales in Russia's favor. IF the USA is smart, we should stop giving away our dwindling supply of weapons and instead, focus on replenishing our own stockpiles.

Russia has also revealed development of a rocket - assist module for the larger variants, to increase their glide range. They are using JATO bottles for this purpose, and they have a lot of these.

Im loving how the guidance system is literally clamped to an existing bomb. How simple is that!! Does that mean they can make any gravity bomb under 1.5 ton a precision weapon? There's a very long and boring article in wiki about the FAB series bombs.
They've already been doing that. BUT, it's much easier to build bigger bombs than it is to build drastically more guidance kits.
And focus is clearly to get the most out of every guidance package.
So, for the FAB250 and FAB500, they mostly "just" use the advanced bombsight they started using about 5 years ago, it basically improves precision of unguided bombs halfway to guided bombs.

Out of all the weapons used in this war... this is probably the only one that could be named as a game changer. It's absolutely devastated the Ukrainians ability to defend and stage manpower. Before, the main priority was getting men hidden away in bunkers and basements, as most eastern towns have plenty... or hiding Armour in inconspicuous places... Now nowhere is safe... in a bunker, you get buried alive... Vehicles hidden in a farm or factory... the whole factory is levelled.
It has also helped clear trench lines a lot quicker, 4 or 5 of these and they just run away, the sound, impact wave and actual damage is unbearable.
And now on the horizon is a 3000 variant... and they have millions apparently.
