Very nice lesson! Back in the day, I listened to this song endlessly and struggled to try to get the guitar part. I got some of it right and was somewhat close on the chorus but it took forever. Now I’ve got the song down in 20 min. Where was TH-cam and lessons like this 40 years ago? What I could’ve been… Thanks for all the work you’ve put into these lessons.
Absolutely loving all these Police lessons. I've been a fan of the band since the 1980s. Always struggled with learning Andy's guitar parts. I even once bought a Greatest Hits guitar TAB portfolio yet it was limited in many ways. I think this is my favorite lesson of yours so far. Even though "DON'T STAND" hasn't been my fav Police tune I really like your instruction. You really broke it down and unlocked the mystery. Big Up!
Love your videos Howard , always loved your solo album too , and your song on the GUITAR MAGAZINE RESUME ALBUM . Would love to hear you do a lesson on THE POLICE classic …. EVERY LITTLE THING SHE DOES IS MAJIC …… All the best !
Hey I've been watching Andy do this live and especially the one video of him from synchronicity tour he's playing chorus 2 frets up. Is the Roland tuned down at all??
That's my catch on it... You can see it in other live performances as well. I think I mentioned it in one of the tutorials - can't remember which song :-)
Hi - For Andy's stuff, there is almost always a healthy dose of chorusing... And depending on the song, some delay as well. The tone usually pretty clean and punchy. I hope that helps. Thanks so much for watching.

@@247GuitarwithHowardHart yes, we all know that, but tell us the eq please
If you have played toghether with the record also, it would make much, but much more sense.
I agree... Unfortunately there are copyright issues involved with that :-(
Andy summers is down rated guitarist, but i think is one of the best, creating super sounds without tons of notes unusefull
