Another place I've never visited is Grey Printers in Strabane main street where is also linked to the printing of the American independence declaration. Its very rarely open.

The population in Ireland is still less today than it was before the Famine. A lot of people died and a lot of others emigrated to America, Canada. Its possible thats why your great, great grand father left.
