Strabane is a lovely town that can be found in west Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
It lies on the east bank of the River Foyle and Strabane roughly midway from Omagh, Derry, and Letterkenny.
The River Foyle marks the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
In Strabane you can experience great shops and restaurants as well as the history of the town with the Knockavoe, which marks the beginning of the Sperrin Mountains, forming the backdrop to the town.

Hi just had a flying visit to Strabane,my grandparents are from there ,Townsend st ,their names are McGinley & Hone grandfather Patrick McGinley,and my grandmother was Elizabeth McGinley nee Hone ,had a great time and I will be back for longer ,oh what a beautiful church the Immaculate Conception your very lucky to have a church like that God Bless the people of Strabane ❤

My great great grandfather Mathew Moore immigrated from Strabane to the U.S. in 1811 with his wife and 3 children.

@@ConnollyCove No. But it is on my bucket list. My mom always told me that when Mathew lived in Ireland he "set a brew" for a living. I know that when he died in Ohio he had been a farmer and was a land owner.
