- Episode 8 - Bosnia in Our Grenadier. We were having a lot of fun in the Balkans, it felt like we had our very own adventure playground. Next up was Bosnia where the history is as diverse as the landscapes. There are still many landmines around so we couldn’t just go wandering around the forests and countryside like we usually do. It was also nearing the end of October and so we didn’t know how much longer we’d have to roam at these heights. Soon the snow and ice would come and with that, many of the passes would be closed. In this episode we explored the countryside on off-road tracks, wild camped the whole time and visited Sarajevo as well as Yugoslavia's biggest secret which is hidden inside a mountain.
If you'd like to know more about us, Project Wild Earth, The Projects and how this all came about, click here: projectwildearth.com/ For our journey, we are driving Jane, our INEOS Grenadier, and live in a Patriot X3 Trailer so we can travel off-road to remote locations and be off-grid for long periods of time.
Thank you for coming along on our journey!

Really like that you visited Bosnia and Herzegovina, country that has so much to show
We loved it! Like you say, it’s got a lot to offer! 😊
I was always going to love following along on your Journey, but what has me looking forward to this more than anything else on TH-cam is the quality of production. You are assembling golden shot after golden shot, great music, great voice over which is thoughtful but not contrived, the character of this little crew of adventurers is coming through strong but without pretence. If this is your first venture into video production you are gifted. If not you are making great use of everything you have learned. All my encouragement to all of you.
@vistatrekker - Thanks so much, we really appreciate it! It’s a lot of work behind the scenes as I’m sure you know but we try and do the best we can while on the road with our kids. We know there’s a lot of content out there and so we want to be respectful of people’s time and try and immerse them in nature from our perspective without drivelling on. It also serves as a great memory for us and so win win all around!
As for your question regarding video production, we’re absolute beginners, same with the drone but we’re starting to put things together and learn the ropes! The whole thing is very “run and gun” as we just don’t have the time or capacity with the kids, there’s pros and cons to this of course. Forever striving to do things better but at the same time trying to remember what’s really important here.
There’s still a long way to go but as we do more videos, we become more efficient and start to understand the whole process a little more. Our overall aim is to do the absolute best we can to do our bit support those out there doing the work on the ground to preserve and protect our planet with our storytelling. The better we are, the more impact we’re going to be able to have. 😊
Beautiful!!
You can thank the nature in Bosnia for that. 😊
Congrats on starting your journey. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Thanks for the kind words and for following along! : )
Professional images, cut and music. Great landscape and your cultural curiosity makes this series on of a kind. And your kids are blessed with a unique experience in nature and of course blessed with best parents on Earth. I am a motorcyclist and know some of the TET routes in Italy and France but would bring my Grenadier on these routes only if I have experienced them before with my motorcycle before going there. Kudos. Just enjoy the best life of your life.
We're really glad you're enjoying our videos and massively appreciate your kind words : )
Regarding the TET, Matt also rides and agrees that a recce on two wheels would be a good idea like he does for his company AdventureX (adventurex.com/) before each trip. Unfortunately, we're not able to a recce for Project Wild Earth and so we have to rely on our research, input from the locals and have a little adventure along the way! We've had a few tricky situations but we've managed to navigate our way through them and been ok so far! 😃
A beautiful and informative video. I enjoyed watching it. Thank you and enjoy yourselves.
@khaalifaa84 Thanks so much, we're glad you enjoyed it! As for having fun on our end, don't worry, we will! : )
Really enjoyed the video guys... just found you so will be having a look at your other ones.
Glad to have you along for the ride! Let us know what you think of the others! We’re always looking to improve with each one. 😊
@@projectwildearth Will do... My advice (from my own experience on here)... be natural, try and relax with the A-role to camera and just enjoy the process. Your B-role with views and music is brilliant, and the fact you dribble in a touch of history of where you are aill always interest your audiance. I was very interested in the TET trails, I hadn't heard of them before and are looking into that for myself. People watch these sorts of videos because they love the travel and the places you visit, the info and history of the places you visit is a great way of groing your audience. What you're doing now is very much where I want to get too... enjoy and stay safe.
Thats great. Good Storytelling. I like it 😊
We’re glad you enjoyed it! Next one will be out soon! 😊
I was like yeah i need that car...then i saw the price and was like yeah, will never own this car...doing something wrong in life it seems :D
Never say never 😉
Lovely Videos! Do you plan to publish the roads/ways for each section?
Thank you for the kind words. 😊 We don’t have plans to publish our route in detail as we believe in the joy of exploration and preservation of these places.
You are absolutely right…exploring is it all about 👍🏻
Save travels for your family - looking forward to more of your super videos that are simply extrem inspirational!
