- Mean Streak is now Steel Vengeance! A complete revamp by Rocky Mountain Construction, converting the layout into a sick hybrid, featuring 4 inversions, a 200 foot drop, and 27 seconds of airtime! It looks to be absolutely incredible!

Looks like cedar point went back to amusement park school and took theming class again!
They also took intensity class. This is the first ride since Maverick that isn't very reliant on breaking records to be appealing.
V.I.F. Even when it breaks 15 records, the only one that amped me up was most airtime on any coaster anywhere.

I feel they developed this coaster because many of their big steel coasters had alot of height and speed but not very tight and big airtime which many coasters fans like air time and hard core turns..This coaster will prove what cedar point can build.

I went on a visit to Cedar Point a few days before this announcement, and I was absolutely shocked / ecstatic when I walked into Frontier Town to ride Maverick and saw RMC tracks on the Mean Streak structure!
Can't wait to ride this.

Was there for the hootenanny celebration live when they announced Steel Vengeance! I know some coaster enthusiasts say the Cedar Fair chain doesn't hold water to some other places, but for my money, I'm impressed with what they have and what they continue to build! Good on you Cedar Point (and Cedar Fair as a whole)!
What I find really cool is that on the screen in the station that shows the locked restraints on the trains, they change the picture and name on the screen depending on the name of the train currently loading. They also have a little saying underneath each of the names. For Blackjack’s train, the saying is “A Mean Streak lies beneath” and that’s such a cool detail for those that know the history of the ride.

A coaster is a hyper coaster if it is 200-299 feet tall. The reason why so many coasters have a height of 5 feet taller than the nearest hundred (Intimidator 305, for example), is so that the drop isn't in the 100s. The drop on Steel Vengeance will be 200ft, and the drop on Intimidator 305 is 300ft.

This may be the best coaster in the world
everyone always bashes on cp saying they only build coasters anymore to break records and don't aim to make really good coasters. with this coaster, the park broke something like 15 records and may go down as the best coaster in the world lol
The thing about cedar point is that they break records with rides that are great rides even without the records. Yeah, they care about the prestige of holding a lot of records but they also care just as much about ride experience. Unlike some failures in the past...Son of Beast...cough cough...
the thing is though, is that they don't really aim to build the "best in slot coaster" if you will. they make a really good coaster and it always breaks all the records, but it's normally not the best coaster of that type. it's still one of the best, but not THE best.

This is already my favorite coaster all time, any park. The hype is unreal. Air time is my favorite part of coasters along with the drop so this one is gonna be crazy

This may be the best thing they have ever created with the drop and all the airtime, plus the run after the midcourse just looks incredible! Airtime all over the place. I just cannot stress how excited I am for this ride.

Looks absolutely sick!!! I did love Mean Streak but after years it became really rough so I avoided it in subsequent visits. Went on Gemini 5 or 6 times instead . Gemini holds a special place in my heart as it was the first coaster I got on to break my fear of heights.
You gotta row on Gemini, if you want to win. Especially right out of the gate, just start paddling and other people will join in lmao.
