  • How to Make The Best Sea Breeze Cocktail. Drink Ingredients and Recipe.
In this video, you will learn how to make the best Sea Breeze cocktail.
You will know which are the ingredients and the recipe for classic Sea Breeze cocktails.
    Here's a recipe for a Sea Breeze :
    2 ounces vodka
    3 ounces cranberry juice
1 ounces grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
    Garnish: lime wheel
The Sea Breeze is a 1980s drink icon, a light and refreshing cocktail that pairs perfectly with sunny days at the beach. With vodka, cranberry juice and grapefruit juice, it is often grouped with similar drinks of the era, such as Cape Codder (vodka and cranberry) and Bay Breeze (vodka, cranberry and pineapple). This makes sense, as cocktails contain a common thread between their ingredients. But Sea Breeze enjoys a unique history.
Despite significant '80s street cred, Sea Breeze likely originated decades earlier, albeit in a different form than it's known today. Harry Craddock's famous 1930 book, The Savoy Cocktail Book, includes a recipe for the Sea Breeze Cooler, which calls for equal parts dry gin and apricot brandy, plus half a lemon and two drops of grenadine. Served over ice, topped with club soda and garnished with mint. Although a very different cocktail from today's version, many believe this is the basis for the modern Sea Breeze. And the recipe change may be due to some clever marketing by a blueberry consortium.
By the 1960s, Ocean Spray-originally founded as a growers' collective in 1930-began publishing recipe booklets to promote the use of the tiny tart beans in more foods and drinks. Naturally, this push involved cocktails. One particular cocktail was called the "Sea Breeze" and contained cranberry juice, which may be the first example of a popular drink containing cranberry.
Today, Savoy's Sea Breeze Cooler is largely under the radar, replaced by the modern vodka version. The cocktail is thirst-quenching, delicious and simple to make, so it's easy to see why it took off. Bottled cranberry juice continues to be the popular choice, as fresh juice is usually too sour to work on its own. But freshly squeezed grapefruit is always a good idea. Its rich citrus notes contribute to the restorative and delicious sensibility of the cocktail.
Sea Breeze is here to help, whether you're at the beach or just trying to create a beach vibe with your drinking habits. Built into the same glass you drink it in, there's no easier way to bring in the sunny weather.

Decent cocktail, but there's a lot to unpack with the techniques.
-Chill your glassware and your liquid cocktail base seperately, so they stay cold longer and dilute slower. Preferrably stir your base in a stirring glass first in order to ensure ingredients are properly incorporated.
-If you insist on building the cocktail on the glass you're about to serve, leave some space on the glass to be able to properly stir, add some of the ice and grapefruit slice later on. Stirring a brim-full glass is a challenge which causes a lot of mess and a poorly incorporated cocktail.
-A bartender shouldn't garnish their drinks randomly, especially not with the fruity cocktails. Garnishes are meant to give a hint of what's actually in the cocktail. Lime is in the recipe, which I still find a little off, but cherry really doesn't belong there.
Proper technique is what actually elevates cocktails. I believe those kind of tips will elevate your final products and make your videos look more professional.
