In your first drone shot, I actually lived in that very same neighborhood and just 2 blocks down from that turn around in the street. Bought in 2010 and left right before covid hit. It was a nice neighbor and we never had any problems. You mentioned the traffic and yes it is pretty bad but really only on the freeways and during rush hour. Never felt too congested in town but being a trucking center be prepared to deal with a lot of big rigs. Also right before I left a lot of warehouses cropped up, which I'm sure will bring even more traffic and trucks. The nicer areas is north up by the 210 and 15 freeways and the South Ridge area where I was at. The middle can be a little on the iffy side. Also like you said the wind can be overwhelming during certain times of the year where it can be nonstop for a week or 2 straight. Also there is the Fontana Speedway where if you're close enough can be a problem with the noise.
These are some of my impressions of Fontana after living here for most of my life: 1.) The wind is seasonal. The wind "season" starts on the week of Halloween and it ends around mid-February. It will get very gusty and topple wood fences, lift shingles and knock down trees. 2.) Fontana's nicest section is basically between Cherry and Sierra, north of Foothill, all the way to the foothills. The Southern part has some nice pockets (Southridge). Everything else in between is not so nice. It seems that many households do not have pride of ownership and it shows by how unkept their lawns and parkways are. 3). As an avid cyclist I've noticed the city does a poor job of cleaning the streets. Trash is everywhere- especially fast food bags, wrappers, plastic containers, etc. Also, what's with all of the rocks on the sides of the streets??? 3). People drive way too fast in Fontana- especially on residential streets. Beech in N. Fontana is NOT a racetrack!! 4.) Fontana' main street, Sierra Ave., leaves a lot to be desired. It's bland. Neglected. 5.) Fontana needs to install left arrows on many intersections to make driving safer.
Yeah riding in Fontana is tough, not that safe. Cyclist really do appreciate a glassy smooth road complete with a bike lane! And riding in the wind isn't fun either. You can access decent loops from the outskirts of Fontana though, right?
Hey brother if you know the answer why is Fontana part city and county. Why is it like that just want to know if you know the reason it’s govern this way.
You don’t have to worry about the speedway anymore. They got it almost all the way torn down. They’re gonna be building more warehouses. How about that?
😂😂😂 ayyy so anyone want to tell the truth to the people in the comments about Fontana I currently live here if your trying to escape drugs and gangs you won’t find it here in the inner city and outer parts of the inner city are nice but a lot of home invasions and random crimes happening to average citizens and the cops and sheriff’s are a trip as well if you know, you know. Oh wait sounds like the rest of America right now everybody and everything is just getting worse.

Oh yeah forgot to mention the speedway, thanks. What do you think about all the shopping/entertainment options at Ontario mills or Victoria gardens?

Yo I live there!
Also I go the the park at 0:04 regularly!
That’s a great park!
You need to do a 100 sub special
That's a great idea! Maybe like a highlight/compilation video or perhaps bloopers? ha!
To windy and nothing to do here in Fontana but nice place to live I live here
Beautiful new park in Fontana went to last week. Might take the kids again today.

Good question, I’ll look into it. Which part(s) of Fontana are you thinking about?
@@PeterCainRealtor west side of Fontana Ave. I know that sheriffs patrol that area and pd patrols the other side.

Oh I wasn’t aware. For me more CBRE warehouses are better than the noise of the speedway. Not once did I ever make it there 🤷🏻♂️
I have lived here since 1999 I only made it there twice and I’m a local truck driver so it doesn’t matter to one way or another either 👍🏻
Fontana is a rathole, lived there for over 40 years it went to hell in a hand basket
Oh why do you say that? Too many people? Overcrowded?
