The closeup of the headlights had me stunned. The perfectionism of Polyphony is on full display, even being able to see the individual LED array within its housing at the back (the turn signals below the four headlights). Clearly they treat modeling these cars in game as an art. Now I see why it takes so much time for a given car.
You need to watch the blinkers blink in gt7. Im not even kidding.

I’m still amazed how ridiculously good those cars looks in VR Showroom. It is like watching a real car standing next to you.
gran turismo has always been a game that prides it self on its accuracy, it doesnt take racing as a fun activity, it takes it as art, an art form beyond the usual stand still piece, an art that moves, moves and feels alive, the vehicle is one of the few types of art that can do that.

Oh man, as somebody who plays both jumping from FM to GT7 is like using windex on your window. Everything is such high fidelity. FM looks fairly messy still, and the models are sometimes insulting.
Fun gameplay, but the details of GT7 are insane.
Im glad GT7 went for 4k.. was a hurdle to get over but now all future GT games dont need to make that jump, they can just focus on other areas.
For whats its worth, i dont believe all games should target 4K because its obviously demanding.

Forza is crap I always said it's a much worse copy of GT. Also what I have in Forza is ugly rims 2D graphic animation since years they do not fix improve this lol.
its crazy that forza still has some of the old hideous models. its pretty much equivalent to if polyphony still kept the standard cars from GT5 around and just kept trying to upscale them.

Can't blame turn 10 for this, PD are just perfectionist and show how much they put effort to model each car in GT7. I heard each car takes about 4-6 months to make, but these asset will be in GT for a long time.

Keep making these comparisons please. Turn 10 needs to see this and get a grip of shit. Please also compare how rims in forza look like crap as they start apinning in comparison to gt7. In gran turismo 7 replays also look night and day better than in forza. You can pretty much recreate any race from lemans to group 3 to group 1 etc on any track, when you watch the replay it's almost as watching a real life race on your tv, gt7 is a true car enthusiast experience. The value gt7 gives u as a car lover is unmatched.
What GT7 has in realism and immersion Forza has in fun and causality,and even car numbers. As far as Forza Horizon goes,there is over 700 cars in the game while gran turismo 7 only has around 200. Plus Forza has a much more online friendly environment then GT7,which just got a freemode,that isn’t much of a freemode since it’s only specific tracks. It’s like comparing Apples to Oranges. They are both fruits(racing games),but have different taste and preferences for others. I play both and like both. I like how Forza your able to bring an Massive Mercedes Hauler on an hot wheels track,or the Halo buggy in Mexico,or 500 other real would cars. I also like GT7 VGT concepts and first person racing.
@@Tayrwhit04 forza horizon is fun but gran turismo 7 is a direct comparizon to forza motorsport. Horizon is in a different category. Gt7 and motorport are both hardcore racing games. Horizon is a fun arcade game.
And thats why i play these games for 26 years i kid you not i can get emotional about this game because driving on the tracks helped me threw rough times it calms me down brings me back to a level were i think straight it became.more then a cargame to me and others have this experience aswell

Well the New PS5 has a Terabyte of Solid State Storage, so would be great time to hop on the ecosystem, especially if there's other IP you want to try
+there's the PlayStation Core streaming app if you what the highest bitrate stemming which if you have a bright enough LED TV and a cinephile it kinda becomes necessary

Exactly what happened to me after seeing the downgrade vs what they showed on the reveal. At least for me, being a huge Forza fan since FM1, it's the first time I felt disappointed by Turn10. I was happily hopping between FM7 and GT Sport, can't say the same between GT7 and FM, I'll stay with GT7 this time.

@@dansimrgcompare2780 Lets be fair here, Driveclub does look awesome in the rain because of SSR and the rain VFX, but in other scenarios it simply looks like an old game. There's a reason why all Driveclub videos are showing rainy footage.
Doesn't change the fact they did those effects basically better than anyone else even by today's standards, but the rest of the game doesn't look anything special.

Forza isn't bad, but like the shades of blue used on each car, it pales in comparison to GT7
Gt is on a completely different level. Also, Forza is grossly inaccurate.
Was kinda surprised to see such a big difference, but the real difference is VR. With a wheel, it's amazing how convincing it is.

It's the small details turn 10 needs to focus on like the headlights and taillights,if the had to remodel headlights and taillights of all the cars it could be better
They need to work on the materials, some plastics looks washed out and some don't react to lighting at all.
After all the marketing they did on forza calling it " the most advanced racegame ever " and things like "build from the ground up" i think you guys should just refund the game and show them this shit is unaccepteble cant even take the devs serious

By all means if you want your game to look like this, go for it. To me it's just sad what they did to their customers that stood by them in buying millions of copies and then lying to those people, saying..."from the ground up" and hyping people up with those few words that means so much. Forza Motorsport players feel cheated above all else.
From someone who actually owns a Bugatti, the one in the middle is the most accurate representation.

It's not just about much more detailed models, look at the lighting, reflections, shading. Look how flat and artificial the image looks in Forza.

It's all the same, except the obvious speed difference, or the online connectivity. I don't even play in online lobbies, though, so that theory is yet to be tested.
Looks nearly the same both ps4 and ps5 blow it out of the water on ps there is just a little bit more grain the anti aliasing on ps4 is worse and it has no raytarcing offcourse on ps4 thats about it you can look at my bideos except for the last one that was dne on ps5 the rest of my gameplay is on ps4

The textures & HDR hold up just fine on PS4, the AA is paired back & resolution is lowered to 1800p(onPro)withreflections & shadow resolution lower on the cars as well but, the PBR, lighting, & granular detail of the models are still exquisite even without ray tracing, which IMO opinion brings to light the Flaws in Forza's authoring of assets
The only time when FM beats GT is the tyres' textures😅

GT7 makes Forza look like Autocad. I am old enough to remember when Need for Speed tried to reach Gran Turismos levels of graphics and simulation but failed. No I am witnessing it a second time with another company.
Who at Turn 10, though that the sun casts infinite light everywhere? It’s as if there are spotlights all around the car and there’s hardly any shadows.
Also, the fact that GT7 has interior button decals/symbols and FM doesn’t, is just sad. I mean hell, they didn’t even model the door handle in properly on FM. I just looks like one solid piece instead of actually being a door handle with depth to it.

It feels like a Beta version.
Tracks, rain effects and light reflections look good, but the rest is very crappy.
Wheel spin / braking animations looks like 💩. Textures are often loaded too slow. Night Sky is flickering.
No performance graph of the car is available 🤦 WTF?
There is simply too much to do for them.

I personally prefer forza motorsport. Yes there's less detail in cars (sometimes) but I play to race on tracks with different cars (which you won't really be focusing on car detail at the time). And I don't spend hours looking at cars in forza Vista. Cars look detailed enough for normal gameplay and is pretty good for most people who aren't too car detail obsessed. Also paint job on forza motorsport "23 cars far better as they look realistic than the waay to shiny and over saturated/too contrasty paints on gt7. Either way just play which ever you prefer, they are both great in their own ways and both still graphically amazing. And people need to stop comparing fh5 with motorsport Also. They're two different games. Your not going to see the same visuals like detailed stones on the ground etc that fh5 has in fm, cos real life race tracks are simple with not that much stuff on them etc.

The car models sometimes look wrong on FM it just makes me wish they put more effort into it especially since the entire game feels unfinished. The graphics look gross, the lighting seems last gen, the car models aren’t accurate, the game glitches too much, there’s barely any content, the cars r a grind with no endgame… and worst of all, there’s no license plates on any cars so it’s really distracting how awkward it looks

There is no doubt FM23 is disappointing but gameplay gfx are important not photo mode.
How do you think photo mode works? The poly count and detail match across the board on GT7. Y'all will say the dumbest things. The replay system and in turn photo mode run in rela time. The replay system in GT7 specifically takes your inputs from the race and re-inserts them to produce the replay in real time.

The fact photo mode turns on Ray Tracing is proof that the models used are different level than when you're racing in real time. GT7 doesn't use Ray Tracing when racing, only in replays limited at 60fps and higher precision at 30fps. The car models do receive bumps in detail depending on racing or photo mode.
The models dont receive any bumps in quality during replay though. The only difference is ray tracing. The models are the same both in replay photo mode and racing.
