This game has a lot of bosses, to say the least.
Because the author speeds through levels so quickly,
the amount of time spent fighting bosses is actually
greater than the amount of time completing the level
in order to reach them.
This is a 7 minute 38 second improvement over the
previous movie (tasvideos.org/.... Much of this improvement is
simply due to defeating bosses more quickly. The
author has left detailed comments (tasvideos.org/...) about these
improvements.
12:05 oh dude this music... the game design of this level... That nostalgy...
Fantastic game. It must be really solidly put together as well. There didn't seem to be a load of glitches to exploit or anything. The only way to get through quick was to play impossibly well haha
I also love how the final boss is beaten with science. Atmospheric re-entry for the win.
That's old Konami for you. Back when they made games.
Yeah
9:20 When you realize you ran out of pizza rolls
oh no
rocket knight adventures was a great game. can't remember last time i played it but wow! music and sounds were absolutely fantastic.
Nice to see these games finally coming to modern consoles!
this is actually a great game. the intensity is great
I had this game 30 yrs ago.
13:05 Ah Konami and shoehorning that one Gradius boss in everything... classic.
when I first played this , I thought it was some generic mech....until I realized its that damn attack carrier from gradius, atleast its annoying theme didn't appear in this game
Oh I see! a genesis fan
The boss music it’s amazing
Thanks for uploading this.
I had 10-15 games for the Genesis, not a lot compared to my Nintendo games. And most Sega games just didn't have the oomph to be interesting like Nintendo.
But THIS is one of the few they got right! I played it through and beat it several times!
Man this music brings me back to when I was a kid playing this. ☺
I so love this game but it has kick my butt so many times
Oh yeah I remember him from a Sonic for hire. Neat
Is that a MF Gradius reference?
I knew as a boy stuff like this had to be possible
Im glad i got to see it for real
So are sparksrer and rocket knight adventures the same game or what?
Sparkster is the sequel to this game
@@ezgames6925 Well, the Mega Drive version, at least. The SNES version is a spinoff.
lol this game reminds me of beeing with my brother. he was playing it everytime to cheer me up
The Soundtrack 😊❤
This just shat all over my childhood nemesis
Would this be faster if you take some damage on bossfights? You get points for every lifepoint you have left. the more you have, the more time it takes to count am i right?
They had no lives at the beginning so I assume this was being done on hard mode. And in hard mode you die in one hit.
It was awesome
Cool game i'm play later
Perfect awesome

How to do a Minecart Level 101
why no damage boosts? could save some time on countdown at the end of the level.
you could save time by taking damage from the lava at the fish boss. and also killing the ship boss' turrets cause lag. i think if that was removed you would save time over this tas
I believe this is played on the hardest difficulty in that a single hit will kill you.
You can't save time by losing the game. There is no category for losing all lives and continues on any game, as far as I'm aware, and taking damage on Crazy Hard is how to speedrun loss.
This is played on Hard mode, so that means any hit is instant death, so no, he couldn't afford to take a single hit at all.
Hardcore
I feel fever of developer about game
Tenes que cerrar el estadio, lo los genios hacen eso
😂😂😂 que haces Alfio Basile
Is it me or is this like sonic + megaman
@12:36... show off :P
even if this is TAS its crap because your charge still charges even with sending out a sword beam. its not possible.
It's probably a weird interaction with the control scheme- two buttons are set to Attack, so one is held while the other is only pressed, hence sword beam while still charging. Either that, or it's just a couple frames between the attack and resuming the charge that it just looks like they're still charging.
That's my best guess anyway.
Edit: I read the author's notes on the TASVideos site - it's the second explanation. They release the attack button for a single frame to send out another sword beam and minimize charge loss.
