Great job bringing that beauty back. Congratulations.
What brakes are you running on it?

Std drums on the back, had Std solid disc and calipers on the front rebuilt but same as 1969 not great. We retained the Std drums and worked with Brisbane Brake & Clutch Supplies BBCS who manufacture for Hopper Stoppers and many Touring Car Masters teams. BBCS made some of their custom alloy calipers fit within our 15 inch rims around a set of VR Commodore vented discs. So much better, never fade and work great for gravel rally with standard road brake pads.

@@lukedimech7692Thanks. Very nice, those original discs were absolutely hopeless, good for one hard stop and a three hour rest to cool down. I assume you're running Commodore wheel pattern all around.

@johnhutchinson9714 no we kept the old holden pattern as we allready had 3 sets of wheels for it. A while back one of the original axles broke so I replaced them with forged ones and again it was easier at the time to keep the old stud pattern as we were not going to do the front brakes at that stage. The commoroore brakes move it from Historic class to Classic and I did want to keep it Historic but no point crashing to fit a class rule was the sensible final decision.

@@lukedimech7692 Was there much involved in altering the stud pattern on the discs, or were the original hubs adapted to the commodore discs?
