Agree on the subject of .50 considering that you get almost godroll variant when you finish Beckett's quest line. I used this beast a lot, but gatling plasma is a little bit more convenient. You know, looks like Bethesda loves heavy weapons users, because one of the possible rewards for eviction notice is almost godroll minigun. Everyone else has to pray to rng for good rolls.
LMG user here. Ultracite .308 is made in MUCH higher batches than it's normal counterpart. It's perhaps the only gun that you need to put a prime receiver on. I have a Quad explosive which addresses the other shortcoming of the stock version of this gun - its small clip size.
I'd argue gatling lasers also benefit from converting to primed, but crafting ultracite fusion cores is a great way of getting rid of partially-emptied regular fusion cores. Just go to your camp, lock your room, drop your full cores on the ground and craft ultracite ammo with just the drained cores first.

For example, I find the plasma caster extremely useful for distant enemies, because the plasma bolt in VATS can act like a missile, curving trajectory to hit the target, and the range is very high. My problem with the caster is its not silent and missed a lot. That might have been pre bloodied/unyielding when I tried it, but I don't have a bloodied version anyway. I've got a great heavy/sneak/low health loadout for it though. Should try it again.
On my heavy gunner builds I always have a Gatling gun as my primary. It’s efficient and powerful. My primary build, from launch, uses a AAE Gatling gun. Had that for years now and it never let me down. I also have a TSE Gatling gun with prime receiver which does inane damage against scorched. When fighting bosses, I tend to switch to my AAFF Gatling gun, AAE 50 cal, or AA ultracite Gatling laser. I got more AA weapons. Actually, I’m a collector of AA weapons. The weapons I got took me some time to collect lol I don’t play as much as I used to but I jump on every once in a while
because you dont' appear to know, the weak point for Mirelurk Queens is not their crit zone (which is their head), their weakest point is actually their legs. Counter-intuitive, I know, but that's how it is. You'll do several times more damage by attacking the legs.
incidentally, that's why the minigun appeared to do so much damage to the queen when you walked up to it. Your damage jumped to 39/tick on a few occasions because you were hitting her legs, not her torso/head. Had nothing to do with the the shredder, which actually has no function when you're firing actual rounds.
I love the plasma caster for damage and the pepper shaker for shooting down scorch beasts. That damn thing cripples like nothing else with enforcer on.
Yes, I've found the Gatlin Plasma has become my favorite on my heavy gun build, second to the flamer. I have yet to try the Plasma Canister though. This video strikes my curiosity on it enough to give it a go!
There are shotgun perks that don't fall under strength that also affect the Pepper shaker. So you can combine heavy and shotgun perks in fun ways. I really like firing one. It's oddly satisfying. Also, you don't seem to factor in the easier ways to get ammo nowadays. Like Daily Ops, The Pitt, and relevant ammo dropping if regular mobs now.
i came back to this game after i played right after the beta for like 100hrs. there is no comparison to how easy it is to obtain ammo nowadays. especially the "relevant amo" from base mobs surprised me. like i get ultracite ammo from the on the regular.
pepper shakers are really good for achieving comparable benefits from perk cards while using less slots, with 1 level of each of shotgun and heavy gunner perks you're able to get the full 60% with only 6 stars as opposed to 9 leaving room for another perk in the strength slot (lock n load, blocker, scattershot, travelling pharm)
Gatling gun is probably my favorite heavy weapon of all time. It was I think one of the first heavy weapons I got and even tho at some points I had probably better weapons. The Gatling was the only one I had ammo for. It’s a great gun, highly recommended.
The Gatling Gun truly is an amazing gun. I got a 3 star bloodied one in 2020 and still use it as my main weapon. I find that enemies are annihilated in a few shots and usually have about 24 to 100 rounds on them. I more recently upgraded to the prime receiver and enemies started dropping the ultracite ammo in the same quantities. You'll almost never run out of ammo for the gun and if you start to run low you can always jump into the Daily Ops and farm it for ammo.
I ran stealthy commando with a quad 3 star handmade for the first 110 levels and I had a bloodied 3 star Gatling gun I would pull out every once in a while because I knew it had potential. Once you get the ring sight and speedy receiver the weapons utility opens up big time. I'm now making a new build focused on strength and intelligence with proper large gun perk cards and power armor and I feel like I just graduated fallout 76 😂
Mainly agree, except for Ultracite Gatling Laser i would put under top 3. The Gatling Plasma does have higher Dps but the accuracy is ass so half of the bullets doesnt hit if you arent up close. Gauss minigun has the same good accuracy like tge Ultracite GL but yeah... difficult to craft ammo and ammo weight etc. So if you get a bloodied Ultracite Gatling Laser wth +25%FR plus Ultracite ammo it is a top tier weapon and in PA with Stabilized you melt enemies like Scourge beast away. Also you can use the perk for Fusioncores holding 30-90% longer and you have a higher ammo cap than anything else. My top 3 are Gatling Plasma, Ultracite Gatling and 50.Kal if we ignore Gauss minigun what i and many others do cause you cant use it easily and daily
Agree with Ultracite Gatling Laser , hit the point also the key of damage ,with a perk Gatling Laser got 999 shot at once , it's a advantage in reloading ammo
4:06 for the shredder minigun there is a downside from the last update or so where AP decreases as it spins, so you can't tank enemies infinitely as we could do in the past. Same happens with autoaxe and chainsaw. Shredder builds were insanely powerful but after this addition they made these builds temporarily OP instead of infinitely-as-spins OP
Or if you have anything food/aid that boosts your AP regen. Sadly die AP regen on kill legendary effect rally drops for me on weapons with melee capacity. Mostly 10mm...
@@CRYOKnox the thing is that in my view you are holding your weapon steadily while it's spinning so I can't see why you get tired for this and so why you have to lose your AP. Too OP maybe? I think it's something Bethesda could have omitted.
As someone that recently started playing and only ranked up 7 times (for what ever reason i started at level 20) Im sitting on like 4000 rounds of .308 i fond a marksman sniper early on and with a 70 damage a shot it one taps a LOT of enemies im going against and the game for most weapons drops the ammo of the weapon you are using as well as stores them in ammo crates so if you're down bad for a certain ammo type and you can change or mod a weapon to be a sniper in the ammo type you need...oh its game over you can just farm several hundred rounds off a few enemies and a container or two...
Awesome review. Makes me consider trying the gatling gun more. Its about the only heavy gun I haven't played around with. I will note I'd probably replace the gatling laser with the cryolator. Ammo is easily farmed or materials for it. Hits hard, can be used for sneak attacks. The crystallised barrel gives high range. Plus even vs legacies was able to get enough damage quick in even vs a legacy user on the queen. Plus it's an easy general boss or run around gun.
@@michaelpease6211 smh which makes no sense because in real life a Gatling gun goes as fast as you can crank it so they should fix it to where you use AP to crank it faster
@@jahnoi12o when i found out about that tactic I enjoyed using it. Then they patched it patched it out. I rolled for a minugun that had explosive rounds and more direct hits will do more damage
oh man, i remember finding a Vamp Bash Mingun a while back, thing was a monster with the right perk cards. Add on Stabilized, One Gun Army, and a PA set with Emergency Protocols? Literal walking blender
Aiming glitch works with handmade too 👌 love your vids bro, always happy when I find one of your vids on a certain topic I was looking for! God bless bro, keep it up 💪🤝
Bloodied explosive gatling gun FTW. I love that thing. The big boom with every shot plus the seeing the explosive impact makes it feel like I'm a literal mech roaming the wasteland. It's so fun! Plus it more or less nets additional ammo over time with how much 5mm enemies randomly drop vs shots fired.
The only things I don't love about the gatling plasma is that it's shot grouping is nowhere near as tight as the gatling gun and the aim wanders a lot more so I have to constantly tweak where I'm aiming. Other than that, they are both great guns, especially with Vampires on them to keep your health up. Love the aim spam on the gatling!
Legendary effects can change the value of the guns A Vampire legendary on a gun that shoots fast like the Ultracite Gatling Laser or 5mm Minigun makes me almost unkillable. A quad effect on the ultracite gatling laser and the card that doubles the core, that's like 2,000 rounds that can be fired without stopping. The zealot effect on the UGL does really well duribg SBQ events, but not so well it has me hogging the kill exp. Explosive effects on the 5mm Minigun are great when I want exp hits onthe target without hogging the kills.. Its also fun to use in RadRum because it makes all the bodies go flying, like sweeping leaves up in the air. But hte Plasma has been my Boss gun for a long time. Its harder to use on fast or distant targets but anything that wants to get up close, wow they just quickly melt. A Faster Fire Rate perk, makes it just awesome. I rolled a Vampire one finally...which means I can go toe to toe with anything without getting killed or using lots of stimpacks.. unless its poison.
Today a generous player gifted me a gatling plasma with a 2 shot effect mod, I couldn't thank him enough! Now I can switch from commando to heavy gunner
The flamer was my favorite heavy gun that I only used for earl only, until they broke it. Now it’s a railway that I use on earl and sheepsquatch that destroys them just as fast.
Howd they break it. Think kills as fast as the chainsaw for me. edit: oh maybe you are referring to the range mods. I just leave mine on the middle one I think.
Minigun shredder, vampire bash 90 for everday gaming and AA bash 90 for bosses are the best to me. Highest dps, high durability, no ammo needed, counts as melee for dailiy ops. Since i have these two i rarely use other heavy weapons although i have them all.
Could be classified as a different category of weapon since it does not get damage bonus from heavy cards. Please, for the love of god, specify how you are ranking them, by which characteristics, and classifications. … under what parameters. This will insure what you are saying is 100% clear and that you are not inadvertently giving out untrue knowledge. Example: lot of ppl think this game is an MMO. Probably because some TH-camr(s) said it. This is another reason why this game has so much miss information. Btw. Ts AGL is one of the best crowd control weapons. It has homing grenades in vats and the ammo isn’t all that too heavy compared to other weapons of it’s same class. Great for kill a lot of stuff except bosses.
I got three three-star Anti-Armor gatling guns, one with explosive effect, one is vampiric and the third is +50% limb damage (I really don't use that one nowadays tbh.) If I go low-health and do the first person attack speed trick, the dps is just insane and like you said, 5 mm ammo is cheap and extremely easy to get. I have more powerful weapons and even some legacies (until the patch anyway) but I still use my gatling guns a lot.
My everyday main build is: B/ffr/250 gatling plasma paired with AA/ffr gatling gun. Extremely convenient, ammo efficient and powerful build! It doesn't needs a bandolier perk, because 5mm ammo very lightweight so i can invest perks to blocker or lock and load. And plasma cores are extremely cheap to craft and perfectly paired with power armor because of batteries included perk! Can cary a lot of plasma and fusion cores. Sometimes use Final word 50 cal.
I use battery's included because I use bear arms. I have a Gauss mini, plasmacaster, GP, flamer, ultricite gatling. It's just convenience to me to carry a lot of ammo too. Not to mention I carry like 100 fusion cores on me as well. But whatever floats your boat buddy 👌
I am happy gauss minigun user, it's not the best damage but gets job done, she is hungry tho. Gauss shotgun works wonders in daily ops for farming 2mm ec ammo, since shotgun damage perks are easily changeable with heavy weapon damage perks and every kills probably takes 2-3 shot and ammo return is probably 3x more, definetly recommend. Or just craft ammo with max perk cards and super duper (its only steel and lead)
EDC: Normal Vampire Ultracite Gatling Laser on a full health build is super tanky(not as tanky when I use my VFDB chainsaw) but the dps is kinda low on fliers but I love it for range right now. Breaks fast even with GS5 but helps burn through 130+ fusion cores I am hoarding. Just dropped 25+ less than 100 charge cores(least charged was like 43 or something) in White Spring for someone to pick up. Normal Instigating Plasma Caster without any mods yet but I splat most mobs in 2 shots without critical. I have done 3-5k with crits against super mutants. Poor ammo capacity. I had a few dropped Gatling Plasma I was going to roll legendaries on but plasma cores freak me out for some reason despite having over a 120 of them in my stash. Liked the video and nice shout out to Angry Turtle.
It's about time, i wish they would add capabilities for a support in a group, would like to see people using hacked bots, tamed animals, and turret builders and healers in combat. it would be sweet to have roles in a party instead of all focused on healing.
I’ve been using a BE 50 cal for months with a full set of bolstering t65 and it’s amazing for every type of activity including events pitts ops it’s amazing
Love my Gauss minis. I have a Ghoul Slayers faster fire rate I use at Rumble and it absolutely shreds ! Equip demo 5 and let it eat! I feel like alot of people don't realize it's actually an explosive laser. Don't believe me? Put on the demo card and watch the damage numbers go through the roof
they didnt patch the gatling gun and i was combining the gatling for ammo with a regular minigun just when i needed to do more damage but with this bug i could use the gatling even better.. maybe bethesda wants to make us manually speed up the gun, you know.. the gun is manual after all.. great addition to the game if thats its true purpose!
Would have been cool to include what cards you're using. Sence thats missing all I have to go off of is the damage seen on the screen. That being said my railroad and enclave flamer are better dps than all of these even considering the lack of rolls. However if you could do a vats heavy comparison and show the cards then you'd really be showing the true potential of these guns
commando is alread really op and the enclave flamer and railroad are 2 of the most op weapons rn, nothing will beat commando even if you have no commando or riflemen cards theyll outclass heavy guns
DPS on the gatling can be the highest if you continue to tap aim. every time you tap aim it fires as long as you hold the trigger and with that it can have the highest dps
Late ass comment but I wanted to add this on here; I got a 3-star legendary Light Machine Gun that I promptly call the "Scorchbeast Swatter", +50% Damage to Scorched. Bullets explode for area damage. 15% faster reload. Pretty fun to use it during Scorched-related events, particularly Scorched Earth.
Bro...... bro, I've been running a bloodied explosive gatling build for a year now and didn't know about the speed increase till just now. Holy hell, mind blown gg
IMO gatling over the plasma gatling with the glitch. No spin up time and damage is high. I use the plasma gatling for the scorched beast queen but otherwise not so much.
My main character is a bloodied heavy gunner. After the patch I did a lot of testing and right now I'm using a B2525 Plasma Caster/BE15fr .50 cal for regular enemies and a B2515fr Gatling Pasma for bosses and tankier enemies like the mirelurk queen. I do carry other weapons with me, like a chainsaw for specific situations or the lmg because I like that gun so much. I'm enjoying the plasma caster very much, you can pretty much one or two shot kill any regular enemy, it's an awesome gun.
Agree with top 2.....I run bloodied heavy (ps4)....and sometimes full health, but have converted everything to ultracite ammo. With events such as daily ops and other day to day u cannot use all the ammo...I have gourmand explosive gatling and bloodied ffr....damage is pretty much the same . Gatling plasma primé bloodied and vampire....vampire for tanking bosses. Flamer vampire and bloodied with friendly fire perk for end of PITT and Métal expedition/events...Gatling Plasma bloodied and vampire for SBQ...
I would switch gatling plasma with gatling gun. Because, the ammo glitch with the gatling plasma will leave you with many partial cores in your inventory. Also, 5mm ammo is net positive doing daily ops or Pitt runs. Cores don't drop from mobs but only the end mission reward.
I use a plasma caster with prime receiver, aligned sniper barrel with a really decent sneak setup and usually pop one shot crits on most enemies crits hitting for 1000+ damage. And the prime receiver cause ultracite plasma is way more ammo for your mats than basic plasma. But my general mobbing gun is my fixer since my build is very sneak oriented. But for nuke summoned bosses my heavy hitter is my gatlin plasma
I like running about with the gattling, but man after a couple hours I can't deal with that noise anymore. Love the gameplay, but that thoom thoom thoom thoom thoom thoom that you kind of have to keep going because the dps isn't one shotting or 2 shotting enemies just does my head in. The 50 cal is my bread and butter for pottering about doing some quests. I really love my plasma casters, I got my ffr +ap for hard targets and my extra damage if the enemy is on full health for when I feel like stealth heavy weapon time (Honestly, stealth with a big damage opening shot weapon is hilarious for daily ops. You just crouch run about with a massive cannon one shotting stuff and they are dead before you break stealth) And a vampire shredder because vampire shredders are better than stim packs
I love that gun too. I use the Gatlin mini gun and I have the explosive bullets and I spam the L2 button while holding R2, probably my fav gun ever. With like 30k bullets too lol
I got 1 of each heavy with wide assortment of effects. My top picks is anti armor 50% limb damage Gatling, I can hit 500-600 on a head shot with my bloodied max gunner set I also use ultracite. My next pick of my final word 50. Cal it’s faster but less damage if I focus my accuracy I can maintain ultracite rounds decently well about 130 per hit
Lazers... are good for anti-air fast-moving targets also I noticed they connect well but bullets might move faster... for PVP situations etc... also it's important to note crafting isn't the only way to get bullets using a high damage .308 sniper etc... in a daily ops for example is often the best way to keep a nice restock buy also an option for those who have been playing while and don't need caps ... sometimes for it's use it or lose it.... with caps if you make enough good sales in your vender.
5mm can also be farmed in big bend tunnel mission great for mules who need pepperoni rolls.... too or caps. Imo 50 cal would be lower on my list but it's great my 1st go to when I was new.
The pepper shaker does work in tandem with shotgunner and heavy gunner meanwhile I have a bloody reduced vats ap on kill gatling plasma with ultra cores and it wrecks everything I'm doing 500+ per hit on the queen
I have created 5 characters in 76 and I have handed down my .50 cal double shot to each character, my favorite gun in the game. Yes they do eventually nurf everything.
Have tested extensively all the Heavy Guns and best in the end, is Gatling Plasma, especially with Two-Shot Faster Fire Rate. It still pales in comparison to my Bloodied Stealth Commando build with Quad Fixer or Quad Railway, but for Heavy Gunner build Non-Legacy gun, the TS FFR Gatling Plasma is the fastest to Solo SBQ or Earle.
Nice to see they still haven't nerfed the shredding minigun. Ridiculous addition to a gun that makes the gun part of the equation sort of more like a secondary 😂
There are two things I'm looking forward to the most the next update one the ammo box definitely looking forward to it Emma's been a major pain as far as weight on my stash box and the second one is the new location / events the whole nuka-world thing supposed to come with the few new things like some new weapons looking forward to that that's going to be a lot of fun
My go to is my FF - Furious Gatling plasma, ive had this 2 star forever. Second to my .50 cal FF- furious -with faster movement, Third to my 5mm minigun with Faster Fire rate- 2 shot- durable i only use the shredder barrel for
all type of ammos are easy to get in current versions, except cores so i always think about damage per ammo and ammo collecting speed in this case gauss minigun is probably the worst if anyone wants to go with 2mm, you should pick gauss rifle/shotgun then you will get infinite 2mm for gauss minigun
For my getgo setup I usually run plasma caster, never run out of ammo, with ammo drops nowadays I always end up with a heap of excessive ultracite ammo. Then a trusty 50cal, tried gatling, but 50cal is more my style I guess. And then vampire bashing minigun with a shredder without ammo, for those stupid dailies with "can only be killed with melee"
Perfect video! I'm re-building my PA/Heavy character, as I used to have a Quad Explosive Harpoon, but it got nerfed. So now I'm wondering which weapon to use. Possibly thinking of that Pepper Shaker, but we'll see what you recommend!👀
Personally, I don't like the 'speed up' time of weapons such as the Gatling Plasma and the Minigun, but each to their own, I think I'll try the Gauss Minigun and a Flamer though before I rule them out.
I love my final word 50 cal with a prime receiver I use it for almost everything except bigger bosses then I use either my anti armor ffr gatling plasma or vampire ffr gatling plasma if I need to be tanky. Looking forward to unlocking the gauss minigun soon.
I think the Automatic Grenade Launcher is my favourite. Was also surprised to not see any launchers in this list cuz even the rocket launcher with targeting computer is a beast
@@damightytaco i don't think bear arms works at least I remember it didnt last time I checked and i doubt stabilized does. I will test it tho x might have changed at some point but i remember I looked into it because agls are among my fav weapons
@@matthewmorgan9941 thats what i like.taking them down from full healt to 40% its also really easy, but under 40% its ridiculosly fast to kill them...its basically like they have just 60% hp from beggining...and executioner auto-axe with lots of canned coffee in west tek? You just walk with pushed button without need to stop
Flamer is the best dps. Plasma caster if you want to use vats with a heavy gun. Pepper shaker for making sbq land. Don't use bullets with your mini, shredder is broken even without bashing damage legendary or the card.
I just wish Bandolier wasn't under Strength. In my power armor heavy gunner build I can only use energy weapons exactly for that reason. I just can't fit it in without removing Heavy Gunner and other weight-reduction perks.
I'm not a fan over the fact that both Plasma, lasergatling and Gauss miniguns has their ammo crafted under energy ammo, yet none of these weapons gets damagebonus from both heavy *AND* science perks. All 3 weapons are heavy energy weapons, and as such, they should get bonus from both types of perk cards.

One of the most convenient guns in the game for sure. thanks for commenting :)
Super cool stuff to know, love the diversity of heavy guns in this game
4:06 for the shredder minigun there is a downside from the last update or so where AP decreases as it spins, so you can't tank enemies infinitely as we could do in the past. Same happens with autoaxe and chainsaw. Shredder builds were insanely powerful but after this addition they made these builds temporarily OP instead of infinitely-as-spins OP
2 or more pieces of AP refresh armor takes care of that
@@mogwa88n60 Good point! even more in PA!
Eat AP refresh food and love my coffee machine.
Gotta love the Gatling. Plenty of ammo available from Daily Ops or Eviction Notice.
TONS of ammo at eviction notice. Great point
You can double the fire rate of the gating gun in power armor if you aimed in and out super quickly. It will destroy anything in front of you.
They patched it 😑
@@michaelpease6211 smh which makes no sense because in real life a Gatling gun goes as fast as you can crank it so they should fix it to where you use AP to crank it faster
"walking blender" LMAO that's awesome
Use Formula P
Just started using the plasma caster it's nice to have a vats gun that doesn't burn through 20 cores an hour and hits like a truck
I love the Plasmacaster :). Great on ammo too!
Since i have these two i rarely use other heavy weapons although i have them all.
all these guns are extremely awesome , but get the quad version of them
Honorable Mention goes to the Auto Grenade Launcher. It can be A LOT of fun :)
You shold include Explosive Launchers in the rank too, cause they benefit from heavy guns perks.
Find some Two-shot launchers and you'll love it.
I definitely agree! But I think that could be another video. Good point though, as they do benefit from heavy gunner perks.
The only launcher that is affected by heavy weapon cards is that quad barrel thing (I forget the name but it’s naturally a quad barrel).
I love the gatling gun too. I use it a lot and only pull out higher dps guns if I need to. The flamer is fun too.
if you go low health careful with explosive. Killed myself a few times with the splash damage. I just quit using mine with explosive.
@@SheepAmongG.O.A.T Since I'm running a full set of overeater's hellcat PA with emergency protocols, my own non-legacy explosions barely tickle me.
My everyday main build is:
B/ffr/250 gatling plasma paired with AA/ffr gatling gun.
EDC:
Normal Vampire Ultracite Gatling Laser on a full health build is super tanky(not as tanky when I use my VFDB chainsaw) but the dps is kinda low on fliers but I love it for range right now.
Tip for killing mirelurk queens in the future: aim for the legs
It's about time, i wish they would add capabilities for a support in a group, would like to see people using hacked bots, tamed animals, and turret builders and healers in combat. it would be sweet to have roles in a party instead of all focused on healing.
I’ve been using a BE 50 cal for months with a full set of bolstering t65 and it’s amazing for every type of activity including events pitts ops it’s amazing
I've been holding onto a Quad FFR 1P Gauss Minigun for awhile. The only annoying part of keeping it well fed is crimson flux.
It does chew threw ammo quick.
A legendary LMG is my go to. I pick up as much ammo as I use for sure. Just scored a Gatling gun though, so I’m going to build it now
For my heavy build I'm using only the .50 cal with bloodied explosive... great gun and decent DPS.
100% agree.
I’d add the Enclave plasma rifle with flamer mod and vampire effect. It is my cheat when I’m wanting to plow thru an area. Ammo is a pain though.
Love my Gauss minis. I have a Ghoul Slayers faster fire rate I use at Rumble and it absolutely shreds ! Equip demo 5 and let it eat! I feel like alot of people don't realize it's actually an explosive laser. Don't believe me? Put on the demo card and watch the damage numbers go through the roof
i have an anti armor one and a two shot one
The .50, the flamer, and the mini are my favorites. Probably in that order.
they didnt patch the gatling gun and i was combining the gatling for ammo with a regular minigun just when i needed to do more damage but with this bug i could use the gatling even better.. maybe bethesda wants to make us manually speed up the gun, you know.. the gun is manual after all.. great addition to the game if thats its true purpose!
Would have been cool to include what cards you're using. Sence thats missing all I have to go off of is the damage seen on the screen. That being said my railroad and enclave flamer are better dps than all of these even considering the lack of rolls. However if you could do a vats heavy comparison and show the cards then you'd really be showing the true potential of these guns
commando is alread really op and the enclave flamer and railroad are 2 of the most op weapons rn, nothing will beat commando even if you have no commando or riflemen cards theyll outclass heavy guns
the Gatling Gun is a great gun it especially with a bloodied build omg it slaguters
"This gun is very powerful." * takes 45 minutes to kill one enemy*
Base no legendarys
I’m new to heavy builds but I really enjoy the plasma caster I’ve been using it non stop the past few days and don’t regret it lmaoo
One of the best in my opinion! Thanks for commenting :)
DPS on the gatling can be the highest if you continue to tap aim. every time you tap aim it fires as long as you hold the trigger and with that it can have the highest dps
Late ass comment but I wanted to add this on here;
I got a 3-star legendary Light Machine Gun that I promptly call the "Scorchbeast Swatter",
+50% Damage to Scorched.
Glad I could help
AA/+VH/LVAC plasma caster is super efficient and hits hard. Daily driver except when I am playing with other specs.
IMO gatling over the plasma gatling with the glitch. No spin up time and damage is high. I use the plasma gatling for the scorched beast queen but otherwise not so much.
I'd have to agree.
The Plasmacaster is a beast. Been telling people that for years. Thanks for commenting :)
@@MrWestTek True, it's a really powerfull and fun weapon. I'm having a blast.
Nothing will replace my quad exolosive railway ... love it
do you ever have ammo problems with railway
I'm a heavy gunner user, my favorite is the 50 cal vampire explosive which help me tanking a lot
The gatling gun imo is the absolute best if someone is looking to use one gun. More ammo drops than you'll ever use, solid damage, and no spin up
I recently got a two shot gauss minigun with 25% faster fire rate and 90% weight reduction from a scorchbeast queen
I would love that gun. Still trying to roll a 2 shot...
I find myself coming back to the final word every time.
Amazing gun. Thanks for commenting!
the 50 cal is such a good heavy, i got a vamp explosive one and i just stand there busting caps
Chainsaw or auto axe are top malee DPS weapons. I constantly find .308 ammo. I don't use it so its always on sell at my camp. For 1 cap each.
im a two hand melee build but ive been looking into heavy guns, thanks for the help
No problem! Glad you found the video :)
I would switch gatling plasma with gatling gun. Because, the ammo glitch with the gatling plasma will leave you with many partial cores in your inventory. Also, 5mm ammo is net positive doing daily ops or Pitt runs. Cores don't drop from mobs but only the end mission reward.
I think eviction notice is the best for 5mm. I usually walk out of there with a couple thousand.
Gatling plasma with a prime receiver, 2 shot and 25% while aiming down sights is honestly sooo powerful. Definitely been my go to gun for years now
I really want a 2 shot myself. You like the damage while aiming? I use it on a 50cal, not too many people seem to like it.
@@MrWestTek it’s very helpful for me. Using the stabilized perk card in power armor. Just crouch and it shreds
Im looking for a Bloodied with aim damage want to try it out.
You just crouch run about with a massive cannon one shotting stuff and they are dead before you break stealth)
And a vampire shredder because vampire shredders are better than stim packs
Just got a anti armor faster fire rate Gatlin plasma with break 50% slower, easily my favorite gun.
The pepper shaker does work in tandem with shotgunner and heavy gunner meanwhile I have a bloody reduced vats ap on kill gatling plasma with ultra cores and it wrecks everything I'm doing 500+ per hit on the queen
the gatling plasma was always the best even before the update
Gatling gun with the rapid fire glitch is better, you won't even need perks for it to work it has high accuracy and superb dps.
@@CHICKENNUGGET69360 glitch
I have created 5 characters in 76 and I have handed down my .50 cal double shot to each character, my favorite gun in the game. Yes they do eventually nurf everything.
Have tested extensively all the Heavy Guns and best in the end, is Gatling Plasma, especially with Two-Shot Faster Fire Rate. It still pales in comparison to my Bloodied Stealth Commando build with Quad Fixer or Quad Railway, but for Heavy Gunner build Non-Legacy gun, the TS FFR Gatling Plasma is the fastest to Solo SBQ or Earle.
Very informative, thanks for the confirmation :)
Wait the ammo box? Isn't that already out only for fallout 1st?
I thought 2500 .308 would last my bloodied explosive lmg through radiation rumble. I was wrong lol
not only is 2mm ec expensive as hell but it weighs an insane amount, even with batteries included
Gatling is one of my favorites on my heavy gun build. Mine has the faster fire rate perk on it too and it cuts through most enemies with ease
Agreed. I love the gun myself :)
@@MrWestTek oh and that trick/glitch/bug (whatever you wanna call it) brings it to the next level
My go to is my FF - Furious Gatling plasma, ive had this 2 star forever.
Second to my .50 cal FF- furious -with faster movement,
Third to my 5mm minigun with Faster Fire rate- 2 shot- durable i only use the shredder barrel for
all type of ammos are easy to get in current versions, except cores
so i always think about damage per ammo and ammo collecting speed
in this case gauss minigun is probably the worst
if anyone wants to go with 2mm, you should pick gauss rifle/shotgun
then you will get infinite 2mm for gauss minigun
For my getgo setup I usually run plasma caster, never run out of ammo, with ammo drops nowadays I always end up with a heap of excessive ultracite ammo.
Then a trusty 50cal, tried gatling, but 50cal is more my style I guess.
And then vampire bashing minigun with a shredder without ammo, for those stupid dailies with "can only be killed with melee"
I have a 1 star vampyric Gatling w speedy receiver and expanded mag. I love it especially for solo roams.
Gauss mini is a beast I will say, but the ammo is a little costly as well. Just saying, hope you get it soon buddy :)
I think the Automatic Grenade Launcher is my favourite. Was also surprised to not see any launchers in this list cuz even the rocket launcher with targeting computer is a beast
I think I'll do another video about the heavys with explosive ammo. I was already comparing so many.

Flamer is the best dps. Plasma caster if you want to use vats with a heavy gun. Pepper shaker for making sbq land. Don't use bullets with your mini, shredder is broken even without bashing damage legendary or the card.
Tse mini and 50 are just fun
I would love the pepper shaker if you could add an extended mag
If you have a Gatling laser with faster fire rate, use the charging barrels, it’s great.
I just wish Bandolier wasn't under Strength. In my power armor heavy gunner build I can only use energy weapons exactly for that reason. I just can't fit it in without removing Heavy Gunner and other weight-reduction perks.
I'm not a fan over the fact that both Plasma, lasergatling and Gauss miniguns has their ammo crafted under energy ammo,
yet none of these weapons gets damagebonus from both heavy *AND* science perks. All 3 weapons are heavy energy weapons,
and as such, they should get bonus from both types of perk cards.
I don't know if it's called the same in English, but I just hope that in compensation the communist thrashing can appear with legendary effects 😀
gattling laser is my favorite simply because it uses fusion cores
I myself love the 50cal with the perks and armor I use it's just perfect
I love it myself, a solid weapon!
I absolutely love my TSE 50 CAL ❤ although I do also really enjoy my lmg’s and gauss mini 🥰
