Cremator set up properly fuel will not be an issue as it takes out multiple enemies at once while using 10 ammo per shot … especially with grenadier and demolition expert on it … I run with that and Holy Fire … Cremator for distance and Holy Fire for close range situations
I use holy and vampire flamer and creamator, with this I include two prime plasma gats one bloodied one quad iwant to add explosive maybe as I run heavy gun demolition build with nuka grenades etc. This is my main build but I agree and have the pepper shaker and it is amazing as well as a plasma caster all displayed at camp etc. Great job thanks kt
My go to is always 50 cal , I run a heavy with quad exp, anti armor exp, and a vamp exp, all primed I never have an issue doing damage or staying alive
I agree with your number 1 but i would have the Cremator on the top 5 and oddly enough the Gatling laser over the Gatling gun the ability to use friendly fire with a beta wave emitter mod makes it the most versatile weapon in the class.

In your opinion, Mr. WestTek. I rolled a .50 Caliber Machine Gun (Two Shot, Explosive, 90% Weight reduction.) Can't use it, just yet because it's for level 45 and I'm 30. Is that a gun that deals well with the end-game content, in your humble opinion? (I tried playing as a stealth commando, but I really don't like the slow gameplay or relying on vats.) Also, thank you very much for your videos. The start of Fallout 76 is pretty overwhelming but you made a lot of things clear.
As some one who used the 50cal as my main gun that isn't a bad one but you might like anti armor more than two shot. If your running power armor with the anti armor perk then two shot should be decent 👌
Yes, it is good in the end game and you will not feel weak at all. However, I personally don’t like 2 shot on my weapons anymore after the continual “balancing” changes because it is simply outclassed by anti-armor and bloodied. Plus, two shot absolutely DESTROYS your accuracy with ALL guns, forcing you to use vats if you’re not right up on something. I would recommend looking for an anti-armor, explosive 50cal. Or bloodied explosive. You could also sub the explosive for the faster fire rate too. If you combine anti-armor (50% AP) with stabilized (45% AP) then you’re penetrating 95% of the enemy’s armor, which is incredible. As a rule of thumb, if your base damage is lower PER-SHOT, then anti-armor is better because you’re not lowering the already low damage. If your base damage is higher, then bloodied is better because the percent increase on your damage is more substantial. Example: if my gauss shotgun does 95 damage per pellet, I want anti armor to allow the pellets to do their full damage. But if I have a plasma caster that does 500 damage, I want the 95% increase from bloodied.
Perfectly fine weapon. Look up ways to farm lead and other materials to craft big batches of the ammo because it will chew through it in certain scenarios. I recommend getting a gatling laser or the plasma one that uses the fusion cores as ammo for helping take on pubic event bosses at lower levels while using the 50 cal for everything else. much more ammo efficient.
Totally agree, not because I know what I am talking about at all though. Just for the simple reason that the top 3 are energy weapons and being a MASSIVE Brotherhood of Steel fan freak I use energy weapons exclusively. Great vid man.
I just wish the gauss minigun didn’t eat through ammo like it was a competition hopefully they fix it soon where you get more ammo back on kill when using it
Plasma caster with 15 crit fill and 23 luck in PA crits every other shot, it is just ridicolous and you are a tank. Holy fire simply amazing to have a groll event reward.
Ultracite Gatling laser my favorite because you can use the perk that extends duration of fusion cores which will make the magazine 999 per fusion core without needing legendary effects
I love my Cremator so much but love Holy Fire too. I actually opted for the asbestos SS chest piece over deep pocket so that I never have to catch on fire again lol
A 2-Star Explosive Anti-Armour Gatling Gun which a buddy gave me(Still have it!) years ago was the only heavy weapon I used back in the day when you could rapid fire it.
Personally am a huge fan of minigun w/ shredder. If its a vamps it really gets rid of the whole ammo issue because once its out of ammo it basically turns into a chainsaw .
The Gatling gun is my go to weapon for my heavy guns character. I stock up on legendary cores and modules to roll for randoms hopefully getting anti armor with lightweight and something else doesn't matter what.
I dont think a best heavy weapon for all content exists. Cremator would probably be number one for expiditions and almost the opposite for bossing. Gatling Plasma would be number 1 for bossing and somewhat in the middle for the rest
Vampire minigun is my favorite, with accelerated barell. Same ammo as gatling gun (5mm) so you get loads and weighs nothing. The DPS is insane. This for range, Holy Fire for close up, Vampire Chainsaw for DO End boss.
ranked guns, dont use em except for gatling plasma, honoroble - use em all :D I love cremator when there is score mission to kill mutants(especially epic mission) I just teleport to cabin or other side of lake where mutant city is and from up there just spam mag or two(I have quad so 360 ammo for me = 36 shots) double barel, slow burn, all heavy gun perks + explosive(damage and radius, forget hwo those two are called), well it looks like carpet bombing or artillery barrage. Few moments later you hear cing cing cing....mutant city dying
Had no one come to Rad Rumble and the cremator kept myself and the two closest NPCs at full health for the event. With slow burn and the glow sight perk I came out with lots of fuel too!
Only started playing about 6 weeks ago. I started out as a stealth rifle user because that suited my play style, it was fine for missions. But in events I always felt wimpy. I decided I wanted to try a heavy build, and I had this Holy Fire that had dropped from one of the events. I haven’t looked back, holy heck you’re a god with the vampire. But yeah, ammo can be a pain sometimes. Mainly when starting an event and no one else shows up, and you’ve eaten most of your fuel before the boss shows up…
Run some daily ops (uplink is better) or expiditions. I've just spent an hour running expiditions while using the Holy Fire, and I managed to build up about 5k-6k fuel.
I'm surprised he didn't talk about the Creamator but kinda described it and I thought he would've said something about the fat man but that ammo is hard to find and has a huge blast damage
You use the holy fire as a semi auto instead of fully auto (dont hold down the trigger, tap it) you will gain ammo kinda like the plasma caster. My build has turned into using holy fire for every day use to farm ammo so I can use the cremator for events
You forgot to mention using science cards with the plasma weapons increases damage as well as using heavy gunner cards. Just like the pepper shaker does with shotgunner and heavy gunnner.
best tip for Holy fire/Flamer or cremator is to use the cremator on the tax envision mission expedition to farm fuel since it can one shot everything there with level 2 heavy gunner cards, demolition expert level 4, and optionally grenadier for big batches of enemies. you can make like 2k fuel almost every time you do them so just farm farm farm and you will be good.
I used it at airport against the Scorched and managed to increase my inventory from 300 to 600++ in one run. Not a lot like yours but it is good enough (especially considering I don't swap into any PA/Heavy weapons build yet)
I have a guess minigun build, and basically what I do is that I use the gauss shotgun to just bring in a bit of ammo back from when I was using the minigun and I only use the minigun when I need to. Pretty much how I manage my ammo for
I’ve yet to do an all out pepper shaker build yet but I pretty much agree with the list except gatling plasma just because I can not stand the slow projectiles(I love plasma caster vats build though). And for me holy fire and plasma caster are dead locked for first. Plasma caster for ranged and holy fire for when they get close.
I am a heavy user and I belive the flamer/Holy Fire and Pepper Shaker are way less ammo efficent than the Cremator. Plasma caster is super good and the 50 cal is very reliable. I use the cremator for most of my daily driving and have about 20k fuel. I usually lost about 1k a day but if I do one expedition then it jumps back up.
Love the videos, they've helped me alot with my heavy build. Only Level 55. Is there a way you could add a pic from your inventory of each gun you talk about here? I like how you show what they do, but I'm not sure exactly what it is. If not I get it, just wanted to ask. Thanks for the content 🤘
I find that it is very hard to find a bad heavy weapon, the only one that’s iffy is the LMG but I enjoy using it as secondary to ground the Queen due to how many rounds it can spit out and it’s relatively fast reload
.50 cal machine gun it is very precise to use without vats and aim all shots at the head unlike other heavy weapons, especially energy weapons where its precision is very low compared to the .50 cal machine gun. It is an excellent heavy weapon
I would have put the Ultracite gatling laser at number one as the one I use has the legendary effect that makes it weigh basically nothing which is pretty much the best legendary effect for heavy weapons in my opinion. Also great videos, I sometimes watch your videos while playing Fallout 76 especially your video on the order of the tadpole quest, really helpful
I guess it depends on your build, but personally I put Cremator above Holy Fire for my full health build (it's never killed me yet). I have both and use only Holy fire if something gets close in. But Cremator is perfect for a lazy bugger like me. Fire one shot at enemy/group of enemies. Pick new enemy and forget about the first target because they'll be dead in a couple of seconds. Unless it's a Mirelurk King - for some reason they seem really resistant to it and need a 2nd shot from my backup cremator (ie. apply two DoTs). And as for fuel - 2 Sensational Games and a Daily Op give me enough to see me through at least one full day of playing (or three evening's worth). But the trick there is not to spam it constantly - you just need one or two shots. I see some people using it like a gatling gun (dakka dakka dakka!) and it makes my miserly fuel hoarding heart ache.
Wish the dropped to spent ammo ratio was as good for the gauss minigun as it is the reggie gatling. My favorite heavy but it blows through ammo and using it doesnt pay for a 10th of itself via contextual. Thankfully gauss ammo is relatively cheap to craft until you get to the 5 digits, so keeping a reasonable amount on your person isnt the hardest thing in the game, but i do wish it were easier
Gatling needs a motorized crank handle for a higher fire rate. Doesn't need to get anywhere near the other machine guns, but it would be a lot more fun to use with 2x the fire rate.
I personally just like the .50 cal as it looks the coolest. I go for looks over function, so my top guns are M2 Browning Minigun Gatling Laser Gauss Minigun And Flamer
So, I am trying to up my vendor/trade/sell game. Little did I know that there are nice weapons out there, that are not GROLL and not Scrip trash- do you have a video that addresses this? If not, may be a good idea for future content- keep up the great work!
Does the Science perks not also affect some of these Heavies? Havent really tested much in 76, but usually did in the single player games. Not that i want to devote 15 cards into damage.
@@MrWestTek oh ive tried asking people after the event was finished if anyone got the plan and would be willing to sell it or i someone could craft it for me but i would just get ignored i even tried server hopping and checking every player vendor to see if anyone was selling it never came across the plan did find one person seling 1 but they had it priced at like 35k and i didnt have the caps to buy it nor would i want to pay that much for it
For most new players, buy Holy Fire for 5000-10000 caps and it's GG. No endgame player should have ammo issue and waste time crafting ammo. You get plenty just by looting what you come across. If you don't, you are either using a bad gun or a bad build. For explosive ammo and fuel, just get it for free from the ammo converter. And please don't waste your atoms buying the converter from the atom shop. You can get it in game with gold bullions. The Gatling Gun is trash if you don't run bloodied and don't use VATS. For a fun time, you can't go wrong with the .50 Cal and the Light Machine Gun (AA/E). Switch to an auto-melee or a Holy Fire for bosses.
@ulfricstormcloak7142 On PC, I usually see them between 4500 and 15000. I typically sell them for 9999 at Whitespring Station. I've also given away at least half a dozen of them because they are so cheap and effective.
1.) struggled to find a good weapon. 2.) found heavy weapons, loved them. 3.) Currently have like 10 different heavy weapons on me as I travel the wasteland. 4.) Feeling like I should get rid of some and only carry my top 5 because carrying 10 sounds insane. 😂😅
I love my explosive vampiric Gatling gun. 500 round clip and with power armor and right perks can’t die. Ammo weigh nearly nothing is a huge bonus That said holy fire shreds and seems to have Bette range than regular flamer too. Only down side is your can’t change the way it looks
The holy fire is my baby , I was looking to upgrade my foundations vengeance I run side by side with it to a gauss mini gun but it seems a plasma caster and or gatlin plasma would be a good choice
It will be difficult to dethrone the holy fire. I use it as a short range wep but it can still reach a good distance as well. It's so powerful that I've never worried about getting ammo for it I always make back more than I use or I'll just go run tax evasion 2-3 times and get 7k ammo. I love the .50 it's the best all around heavy wep. It's tough, powerful, only 2 mods and really just 1 you need, it can be a long or short range. Reload time does suck but a small price to pay. I love the gatling plasma it would be my 3rd choice but I only use it for the queen. It breaks fast and I don't like the charge up. Ammo is ridiculously easy to get I have about 170 cores on me without buying or looking. I find the pepper shaker just fine without any legendary mods it cripples like crazy but I don't like the charge up. Lastly I love my 2 shot auto grenade launcher esp when I solo mutated events.
I really like to know how you're so powerful? Takes me about 20 shots to kill a super mutant with all the right Perk cards. At the same time it would make the game to easy. I'm only level 90 so maybe that's why? Great video bro.
@@D_Da_Tree I run gunsmith rank 3 and repair with weapon artisan rank 3. I only need to repair once every 5-6 hours played at most. With the amount of time you spend in camp, it's not a big deal. I have both a vampire and AA. And the AA does significantly more DPS.
I disagree on the Cremator ammos problems. If you have the slow burn mod on the DoT damage is insane and you can easily just fire a single shot into a group of enemies and kill them with the dot. It doesn't generate ammo to the same degree as the gatling but my fuel count never ends up actually going down unless its an event boss like Earl, and he just eats ammo regardless.
I've been using the Gatling Laser with the charge beam /ultracite Now I know Slow had But I specifically went for a roll with 25% weapon speed Headshots obliterate everything

Try rolling for a q2515, I've got 2, 500 round mag.
Faster fire and reload, can't go wrong
Mines “Hell’s Wrath”
Currently running primary a vampire Cremator single shot, and holy fire. I run an expedition once a day and I am currently up to about 13k fuel. I pull the flamer out when things get close. With how much ammo I am banking I been tempted to change my barrel and see how that effects my damage and fuel usage.
Vampire the only way to roll👍🏼
I agree with your number 1 but i would have the Cremator on the top 5 and oddly enough the Gatling laser over the Gatling gun the ability to use friendly fire with a beta wave emitter mod makes it the most versatile weapon in the class.
have a build you follow? I am pretty noob and have been looking for something I can work with. Picked up a ultricite gatling laser.
@SininStyle I can help you with a build what level are you and what legendary perks do you have unlocked
@@davidcharles2713 was hoping you just had like a link or something you followed for it. Didnt want to put you out.
level 134, heavy gunner perks maxed, rest typical heavy build.
Leg perks, electric absorption, Intel, Str.
Full excavator PA with unyielding/optimized all around.
2shot gatling. Picked up aultracite laser gatling and just wanted to get it to work, feels weak.
Thanks :)
@@SininStyle that's a link to the build and the website with the tool to help design the build play with it see what works for you
Would love to see your card builds when using these weapons. Never seem to be as damaging for me. Thanks for the videos!
I agree with this list. Especially with the Gatling Gun, it has such a low bar for entry to make good and ammo in abundance.
always like to see players top anything. i would agree with your list. i would add that if you pick up all ammo the cremator uses less than you can pick up.
In your opinion, Mr. WestTek.
I rolled a .50 Caliber Machine Gun (Two Shot, Explosive, 90% Weight reduction.)
Can't use it, just yet because it's for level 45 and I'm 30.
Is that a gun that deals well with the end-game content, in your humble opinion?
(I tried playing as a stealth commando, but I really don't like the slow gameplay or relying on vats.)
Also, thank you very much for your videos.
TSE .50 cal is great for tagging at events.
@@heinzerbrew Yes, keep it as your tagging, easy to feed XP weapon
Totally agree, not because I know what I am talking about at all though. Just for the simple reason that the top 3 are energy weapons and being a MASSIVE Brotherhood of Steel fan freak I use energy weapons exclusively. Great vid man.
MrWestTek, I subscribed because your videos are super cool!
Awesome, thank you!
So glad pepper shaker is getting some love, such an underrated gun.
awesome videos man, keep it up
Glad you like them!
I love my 50 cals I just got the vamp explosive that I have been looking for years a week or two ago.
This is about how I'd rank them as well, holy fire, PC and cremator are in my inventory at all times
Spammed canned coffee, company tea then hold down critical for the Gatling plasma in a boss fight and watch how fast it kills them.
Saw you yesterday at encryptid, me and the homies were hype lol. Keep doing you thing
Gatling Gun is always in my inventory from i started the game, it gives a punch to keep the enemies at a distance too
Vampire minigun is my favorite, with accelerated barell.
Definitely earned a subscribe from me as your videos are helping a lot
Glad to hear :)
I've just spent an hour running expiditions while using the Holy Fire, and I managed to build up about 5k-6k fuel.
get yourself a railway rifle, for the stealth rifle build. You can basically 1 shot all trash mobs and at most empty a clip for bosses
What mods do you use on your cremator?
Love the videos, they've helped me alot with my heavy build. Only Level 55. Is there a way you could add a pic from your inventory of each gun you talk about here? I like how you show what they do, but I'm not sure exactly what it is. If not I get it, just wanted to ask. Thanks for the content 🤘
I'm definitely having fun running my plasma caster, plasma peppershaker, and plasma gatling. With Plasma grenades.
Yes, there's a theme. ;)
I suppose UGL is kind of interchangeable with the gatling plasma but I'm still surprised it didn't get a mention.
Please if you get time do indepth mod and perk card for each heavy weapon. Also locations of mods too. Cheers man. Love the vids
I find that it is very hard to find a bad heavy weapon, the only one that’s iffy is the LMG but I enjoy using it as secondary to ground the Queen due to how many rounds it can spit out and it’s relatively fast reload
Thanks for the advice I subscribed cause I’m completely new to Fallout 76 💪👍
I love this list it is perfect but I would put the pepper shaker higher on it❤
Hey I’m the real Owen you are a clone
.50 cal machine gun it is very precise to use without vats and aim all shots at the head unlike other heavy weapons, especially energy weapons where its precision is very low compared to the .50 cal machine gun.
I go for looks over function, so my top guns are
M2 Browning
Minigun
Gatling Laser
Gauss Minigun
And Flamer
So, I am trying to up my vendor/trade/sell game. Little did I know that there are nice weapons out there, that are not GROLL and not Scrip trash- do you have a video that addresses this? If not, may be a good idea for future content- keep up the great work!
I like using a quad gatling gun, (lasts like literally forever maxed out) Cremator, and Holy Fire
Does the Science perks not also affect some of these Heavies? Havent really tested much in 76, but usually did in the single player games. Not that i want to devote 15 cards into damage.
great video! helped me out for sure
Glad it helped!
Man the pepper shaker looks to be such a fun gun been trying to get it from meat week but it just dont want to drop sadly
Maybe you can find someone to craft it for you ;)
@@MrWestTek oh ive tried asking people after the event was finished if anyone got the plan and would be willing to sell it or i someone could craft it for me but i would just get ignored i even tried server hopping and checking every player vendor to see if anyone was selling it never came across the plan did find one person seling 1 but they had it priced at like 35k and i didnt have the caps to buy it nor would i want to pay that much for it
@@Katame131 If you're on pc I can craft you one for free.
I just got 2 Holy Fire in the last two days. Is that how much it going for when selling them?
@ulfricstormcloak7142 On PC, I usually see them between 4500 and 15000. I typically sell them for 9999 at Whitespring Station. I've also given away at least half a dozen of them because they are so cheap and effective.
Good vedio brother, agree with all guns in the list👍🏻
1.) struggled to find a good weapon.
2.) found heavy weapons, loved them.
3.) Currently have like 10 different heavy weapons on me as I travel the wasteland.
4.) Feeling like I should get rid of some and only carry my top 5 because carrying 10 sounds insane. 😂😅
I liked the video on both of my accounts 😂 and I love the videos keep up the amazing content
Thanks buddy :)
I'm still sticking with my plasma caster with legendary VATS perks. I keep the Gatling Laser and Cremator on me for boss fights, though.
I love my explosive vampiric Gatling gun. 500 round clip and with power armor and right perks can’t die. Ammo weigh nearly nothing is a huge bonus
That said holy fire shreds and seems to have Bette range than regular flamer too. Only down side is your can’t change the way it looks
Having post nerf gat plas but not ult gat laser on the list is crazy
The holy fire is my baby , I was looking to upgrade my foundations vengeance I run side by side with it to a gauss mini gun but it seems a plasma caster and or gatlin plasma would be a good choice
I actually think the gatling gun could be moved up a number or two. One of my favorites
I run the Holy Fire. Have been for a couple weeks.
Expedition Atlantic City Flooded City nets SO MUCH FUEL it's silly to not do the Expeditions.
I love my flame build: a Power Fist with flaming mod, Holy Fire and Creamator
Just rolled one of my holy fires to aristocrats/ffr. Man, it shreds!
I really like to know how you're so powerful? Takes me about 20 shots to kill a super mutant with all the right Perk cards. At the same time it would make the game to easy. I'm only level 90 so maybe that's why? Great video bro.
Look at your build and the weapon you're using.
dude is lvl 8000, he has everything unlocked, no idea how you can manage this
AA/25/25 Holy Fire. Congratulations, you've beat Fallout 76.
Nah that base drop Vampire 25 ffr and 50 break is op. That amount of times i have to repair with the 50% i cant imagine not having it.
How is your Gatling gun so fast? Mine is so slow. I’m kinda new to the game. Love the videos!
It has the faster fire rate legendary effect and speedy receiver equipped.
And that does it, ditching commando for heavy gunner! The signs are there and it’s time to change the 76 vibes
Please, please, please start including chapters!
Doesn't matter wat other think let them have their opinion, play how you want, always good content from you love it
Couldn't agree more, thanks for the nice comment!
Are all of these weapons here upgraded with prime receivers or do you just use the standard rounds?
I've been using the Gatling Laser with the charge beam /ultracite
Now I know
Slow had
But I specifically went for a roll with 25% weapon speed
Headshots obliterate everything
hilariously, this is my entire loadout. My 1 is a vamp autoaxe, my 2 is my gauss minigun that I swap for my gatling plasma when I run out of ammo, my 3 is my vamp flamer, my 4 is my peppershaker, my 5 is my cremator, and my 6 is my plasma caster. everything else is consumables.
And yes, I spend half my play session farming materials for ammo 😢
