    I use clean old plastic bottles as a disposable funnel - cut off bottom and pour oil into bottle and with bottle spout sitting in oil filler - then wrap it up and dispose of it. I keep one n the car to easily top up oil. Great car ramps - very neat and safe . Thanks for excellent clear video.

      Definitely a great use of a plastic bottle. Really pleased you enjoyed the video and found it useful and liked the ramps. Thank you. Have you watched the video showing the ramps build, if not and your interested you can find it here: th-cam.com/video/-_SDamRqlsA/w-d-xo.html

    Great video, anyone know if it's the same procedure on the D5?

    • @EverydayWorkshop
      @EverydayWorkshop  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It should be the same if yours is the 5 cylinder engine and similar year. (cannot be absolutely certain though) You just need to check if it looks the same. Hope this helps. 👍🙂

    Is it possible to list the specs for your wooden ramp? Looks like it would be pretty easy to make. Thank you.

    • @EverydayWorkshop
      @EverydayWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes off course, I will try and either list the dimensions in this video description or post another video showing them. Please bear with me though, not sure when it will be. 🙂👍
      Just realised it’s the Volvo oil change video you have commented on. Did you know there is ramp build video which can be found here: DIY Wooden Car Ramps with a few extras

    can you show how to check the engine temperature of the car model in question?

    • @EverydayWorkshop
      @EverydayWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, these cars do not have any method of actually checking the engine temperature, instead the car electronics constantly monitor the engine and will alert you via a warning message. If you check your handbook it should describe the messages.
      Personally I would like to see the engine temp as in my view the temperature gauge is the most important instrument on the car.
      I hope this helps.

      Hi, have you checked the area on the right rear of the car just in front of the wish bone arm as shown in our video. If it isn’t in that location let me know.

    What does 25nm + 5 actually mean?

    • @EverydayWorkshop
      @EverydayWorkshop  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Stevie, as far as I know this just means you have torque range between 25 to 30 Nm but no more. If you have oiled your seal and threads 25Nm should be fine. Do forget it’s all plastic so don’t over tighten. Hope this helps. 🙂👍

    Would be good to show what kind of oil it took. OW-20

    • @EverydayWorkshop
      @EverydayWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Seb, you are absolutely right it would be a good idea and thank you for pointing it out, I have now rectified my error (I blame my age 😊) by adding the details of the oil in the description. The oil I used is Mannol Legend Ultra SAE OW-20 Fully synthetic. You can just make it out in the video when I unbox the service kit.
