that was one of the most aggressive ryus ive seen since poongko was playing ryu before seth, incredible fights!! sheesh that metsu shoryuken is hectic!!
what im trying to say is dont judge it on the one game where he blows up bullcat. because we usually see daigo playing tougher players. ive seen akame lose a lot but he seems a lot improved now. maybe he's better than daigo, who knows
im not talking about the link cr.mk > fireball. im talking about cr.mk pause, then EX fireball = counter hit into sweep, ultra etc... daigo uses all of those cr.mp .. watch his gameplay when he was in singapore. there is hours of him applying so many frame traps. he also uses fwd HP better than anyone ive seen. daigo was very good at ceo, he lost close games. as 4 EVO, it happens. nerves? PS3 input delay costing him against cammy maybe? i havent seen akame play these level of players before tho
I never said he's a better player just a more solid ryu and now I'd like to rephrase that to a more solid rushdown ryu but I think at this point in daigo's career none of those affect him other than jet lag maybe. I guess I was just baffled by his reactions and consistency.

Daigo goes crazy with his one frame links but other times he is careful but this guy takes almost every opportunity he takes . And lol daigo facing tougher players? They play against the same people and this ryu is the 2nd and his win ratio isn't that far from daigos.
I think Ryu U2 is only viable against Rog boxer or Rufus, not this one. You can tell Gouken was abusing @ 4:35 like 'you don't super or U1, Haha, spamming fireballs in yo face'.
Since they are both top level ryu's at arcades I assumed they played the same players more often than not sorry about that that was really stupid. And ever since the past evo and I think ceo I was depressed by his gameplay. He will just fail for most of the match then land a jump in for 500 and win. As for the frame traps cr.forward fireball is not a frame trap (well it is technically) but every person thats played the game for more than 2hrs will use it. I was talking about cr.mp cr.lp stmp etc
