yes
he definitely cuts like a person who cooks. i know. i havent even cooked for a long time and yet i literally default to that style, and so has every other cook ive known

That was the understatement of the "century"
It’s 2021 and people still out here using quotation marks for emphasis. Please do yourself a favor and check out r/suspiciousquotes. It’s hilarious.

In my house there are quite a few items that need to be cleaned and restored like this. There were a few times i wanted to throw them away and buy new ones. Affter watching your video, I may not think about it for awhile. Thanhk you for this wonderful video
But he forgot about the most important part of restoration, testing the cleaver on something.
Afrika Smith it’s an antique
It will break
It looks new is all, I restored a 400 year old katana and tried it on a watermelon, il just say it broke (the blade), may be age tho
Also cleaver, not clever
@Dubb no you did not you are probably the age of 12. you don't have to say that you broke a katana if you never restored one. A 400-year-old katana is worth upwards to 1k in USD. You are making KSP Videos for god sake. Just saying don't claim stuff if you have never done it, please.
The craftsmanship was WOW,
but reshaping the steel was so heartbreaking
I totally agree why reshape the metal ? That totally ruins the old antique look.
Red Butterfly Because it looks better in his opinion.
was thinking the same thing, doesnt really seem to care anything for the original look or design. isnt really a restoration, so much, as it is just some metal he could shape into something for his own kitchen, i guess? also, the new handle looks kinda crooked to me :/
People relax part of the fun in restoring something is adding your personal touch to it. It wouldn't really be "your knife" if you didn't add a little something. Honestly I think it looks better that way, but all people have opinions of what looks good. Respect his
People are overthinking this, chill the hell out
My brain: watch it
Me: why?
My brain: you gotta
.
Ome me-
Brain : because it's fukin cool
J C brain: because you might find a $2 cleaver at a flea market someday and you’re gonna wanna know how to restore it.
Yep.....
This isn’t funny
these videos inspire me so much, as a teenage girl. keep up the good work!
That part where he makes the handle, could cure somebody's OCD
hell yeah! it certainly cured mine!! (at least until the Video endedXD)
Sanket Sanket that part was very satisfying to me!
i have ocd
I also felt satisfied when he made the handle
@TheFrickin Potato i dont know either

Proctetion gloves: am i joke to you ?

Usar guantes es muy incómodo pero necesario
Years of practice: yes you are!
@Wolfy Junior English isn't probably his first language
Never, Never use gloves with a lathe. The glove can become caught and you may lose a finger or worse. The same applies with a drill press, table saw, band saw, stationary wire brush wheel etc.

John Fox bc he could of washed off a whole ever untold crime scene stupid THINK ABOUT IT
maria landa alright here mate he didn’t do a crime scene if he did then why would he film a video about it and if he killed someone you need to just wash it off not do that
Goku DBZ no stupid dumba$$ did u read my comment right!?!? I said “my dude COULD have washed off a whole untold crime scene “ STUPID GET BETTER GRAMMER AND GET SOME GLASSES
maria landa *Grammar. And I believe YOU are the one who needs grammar lessons, person on the internet. ‘?!?’ is not proper punctuation, and I didn’t even see any punctuation in your first comment. Thank you, and have a nice day.
Edit: I understand that you did say could, but you were also very rude in your comment. Insults will get you nowhere. Try being more polite. Also, calling someone a dumb*** won’t prove your point. I can tell that you were angry, but you should still be polite, and you should not take out your anger on others. Please try to be nicer in the future.
Edit 2: The crime scene thing was one reason, but I am pretty sure that no one thought of that. No one except you, maybe. Have a nice day.
Edit 3: *write. *cause. *you’re *right now.
I hope you have a very nice day, Maria. Mine has been rather crappy, but thank you for your enlightening comment. I truly see the errors of my ways, but please have a nice day and be a little more polite.

People saying “ I can’t believe he’s not wearing gloves” you don’t wear gloves working with machinery like this, thats how your hand gets caught in the machine and real injuries happen

This was giving me low key anxiety, him not wearing protective stuff whilst sparks flew 😅
Sparks don’t hurt you, I learnt that on New Year’s Eve when I dropped a sparkler near my foot
Right, didn't know that, I wonder why? I thought sparks were kind of hot flecks of light stuffs that goes out quickly. I say light stuffs, as I don't know what the term is apart from sparks, lol.
@Britain Mapping Well it depends. They generally don't but I don't advise them getting in any holes you have in your face, eyes included
Don’t worry, you can see him grab protective goggles which I think is all you need when working with a lathe
They don't hurt at all, they tickle in the worst case scenario, i'm surprised that almost nobody knows that they don't hurt
