Another funny Rodney Dangerfeild movie is Back to School. Also Stripes with Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, and John Candy.
Stripes is great , lost count how many times I've seen it and still don't get bored of it
Back to School gets my vote. Can you beat a cameo from Kurt Vonnegut and the experience that is seeing The Triple Lindy, all in one movie? I think not.
Love Back to School!
Easy Money with Joe Pesci and Rodney 🤑
Stripes is definitely one he needs to see!
The caddy's boss is Brian Doyle-Murray (Bill's brother). He was the mayor in Groundhog Day. Fun to recognize him.
Rodney is fun in Easy Money with Joe Pesci too. 🤑
Fun to see you enjoy old favorites. You'll never look at a Baby Ruth the same way again. 😄
Ted Knight (Judge Smails) is my favorite part of Caddyshack. So many of his lines apply to any given situation and he makes the funniest noises of rage. "You'll get nothing and like it!" is such fantastic delivery 🤣🤣🤣
He was amazing. His delivery of “well… we’re waiting” still makes me laugh to this day. And it gave us epic memes and GIFs 😂
I still use that line anytime I hear someone saying I want I want!
Ted Knight is a legend. I really enjoyed his sitcom, "Too Close For Comfort."
@@_Xstatic_- I told my kids that hundreds of times during their childhood. Toughened them up
How about a Fresca?
Bill Murray did all his scenes in 1 day. The shoot was a big party. Everyone was drunk and doing crazy stuff all the time. The studio even sent someone to get them back on schedule
"Your pullout game is weak sir". Funniest line all movie.
J, your laughs and “Shut the … up” moments give me life! Your genuine authenticity is what sets you apart from other movie reactors!
Also, if someone ever decides to make a Caddyshack remake and wants to cast a human as “The Gopher”, you should be that character!
I love Ted Knight. His always overly-arrogant but adorable characters were classic!!
You make me laugh!! The "fat boy shuffle" made me, literally, laugh-cry. You, sir, make my day! ❤😂😂
Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield's lines are ad libbed. All their lines are gold.
My dad was a golf coach and my brother is extremely skilled golfer. They loved this movie! I love the gofer and Rodney Dangerfield. Happy gilmour is our family movie! RIP dad. ❤
"Hey everybody, we're all gonna get laid!"
Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Lois Kibbee.
Location Location Fact: The producers chose Florida as the filming location over Los Angeles to keep studio executives from interfering.
Super Fan Fact: Tiger Woods so adores this movie that he played Carl Spackler in an American Express commercial that included references to many of the movie's most famous scenes.
No Respect Fact: Rodney Dangerfield was new to acting at the time and had trouble following along. Due to his background working with comedians, Harold Ramis was able to assist him throughout filming.
Cinderella Story Fact: Bill Murray improvised the "Cinderella Story" sequence from two lines of stage direction. Director Harold Ramis simply asked Murray to imagine himself announcing his own fantasy sports moment. Murray simply asked for four rows of chrysanthemums and did the scene.
Rat Farts Fact: When the Bishop, played by veteran actor Henry Wilcoxon, is having his best round of golf ever during a thunderstorm, he misses an easy putt, looks skyward and yells "Rat Farts!" and is immediately struck down by a bolt of lightning. The background music in this scene was from Cecil B. DeMille's classic The Ten Commandments (1956), in which Wilcoxon played the part of Pentaur.
When Worlds Collide Fact: The memorable scene that begins when Ty Webb's golf ball crashes through the window into Carl Spackler's ramshackle abode was not in the original script. It was added by director Harold Ramis after realizing that two of his biggest stars, Chevy Chase and Bill Murray (who did not get along due to a feud dating back to their Saturday Night Live (1975) days), did not have a scene together. The three met for lunch and wrote the scene together. Although it has nothing to do with the plot, it is widely regarded as one of the funniest scenes in the movie. This is the only time that Chase and Murray have appeared in the same scene together.
I heard Chevy Chase & Bill Murray, had real beef with each other. I’ve heard some not so pleasant things about both of them, Bill Murray was a bit difficult to work with and Chevy Chase was a straight
d!ckhead
🤣🤣 We starting out the gate with my boy J & Mr. Gopher doing the Fat Boy Shuffle.. Oh God, what are we getting ourselves into tonight? 😂😂❤
Man, Porky's was one of those movies that had a scene that burnt into my memory as a little kid.
And then I hadn't watched it again for years, until I was an adult. The scene was so strange that I was questioning if I was remembering it correctly, or if it was my bizarre little kid mind that made it up. Well, turned out that I did remember it correctly.
The scene I'm referring to deals with showers.. If you know, you know.
Lmao can't wait for the reaction to that one
And many socks and tissues
😂
"fat boy shuffle" was the best part!
Oh god...he is gonna love this movie, I might have to tune in for the premier to see him die laughing live! 😂
I've seen this movie about a billion times and still love it. Never gets old. You've become one of my favorite reactors 😂😂😂
“Loggins! I’m doing this golf picture, and I need a rocking theme. I also need $75..”
- Harold Ramis
"want to make 17 dollars the hard way"! One of the funniest lines in the movie. Thanks Jay ay and Blank and the puppies too! Peace!
sorry but it was 14 dollars 🤫
“The Fat Boy Shuffle”. I’m dead. 🤣
My first year in college in the mid 80's in a semi rural town, our student apartments got only 2 local channels so we got a VHS player and had only 2 VHS movies, Apocalypse Now and Caddyshack. We had them playing nonstop on a loop during the day whether anyone was watching or not. So basically my roommates and I had those 2 films memorized. They're still 2 of my favorite films.
I had the pleasure of watching Top Gun non stop 5 days a week 8 hours a day when I was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany back in 88/89. I was so thrilled they made part 2. 😂😂😂
You start playing it in your dreams. One of my best friends was stationed in Frankfurt around that time too.
For me it was West Germany in 82 and we only owned Animal House and The Blues Brothers.
In the massage scene Chevy Chase slipped on the oil he was using and fell on the floor. It was so funny they used it in the movie. I think the gopher was the true star!
Chevy chase has always been comedy gold with flawless comedic timing. They dont make like him anymore. Thankfully he's still alive and lookin good after losing weight. Wish he would do more films tho. Dont care what the cast of that terrible show community said about him. Their unfunny pc actors. Chevy..just like Leslie Nielsen and the late norm Macdonald. Truly funny men
@38:15 Them timing the explosions to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture was genius, and Jay’s enjoyment of it is the icing on the cake.
Love the Gopher and the hit theme song by Kenny Loggins.
Yo I was born in 81 and Porky's shaped my youth. I can't tell you how many times I have seen those movies. Please do all 3 if possible. Porky's is the GOAT of R-rated teen comedies.
You'll get nothing...and like it! Smails makes me laugh more now than when I saw this in grade school
This is one of my favorite movies of all time
I love that gopher 😂😂😂
The pool water is “ass juice” 🤢🤣🤣🤣
Porky’s? There are a whole lot of keys to the plot in that one.
The guy who "kinda looks like Bill Murray" is his real life brother, Brian Doyle Murray
By the way, my buddy Pat Brymer (RIP) was one of the puppeteers who performed the gopher. Miss ya, Pat.
This notification brought me joy
This was Rodney Dangerfield 's first movie and when the director would say action, Rodney didn't start acting. He didn't know action meant to start. The director would then just tell Rodney to do his thing to get him to start acting
our boy J has the most genuine reactions. you cant fake that laugh!😂
When people do Bill Murray imitations, they mostly imitate his Caddyshack character.
I love bill and chevy's interaction, so effin funny
Ty Webb to Danny Noonan:
"I like you Betty."
Best line!! 😂
@0:40 I love how Jay refers to the gopher as a “gerbil” until he finds out differently. 🤣
Hey, I'm sitting (laying) in a hospital bed waiting on surgery tomorrow from a car accident yesterday where my beloved Camaro was totaled. Thank you for doing this movie where you made me laugh as much as the movie.
The butter thing is just old school dining etiquette. You are not supposed to take butter (or other spreads/sauces) directly from the serving dish and place it on your bread/food. You are supposed to put it on your plate and then take from that to spread on your bread. You still see it at super fancy restaurants or in my case when you have to go to an officer's dinner for a family member in the USAF.
My favorite 80s Ranchi comedy would be mischief from the year 1985. And trust me, j. You will love the keys to the plot in this movie.
The guy you thought kinda looked like Bill Murray is Bill Murray’s brother 😂 love all his bit parts in Bills movies!
We're still out there playing when the sky is literally falling because that's Charlton Heston doing his best Moses 😄
I had a friend in college that used to dance like Rodney did on the golf course when we were at the club and he got his buzz on.
The “your uncle molests collies” line took the sound out of your laugh. 😄
Haha J trying to say "au revoir" was giving serious Joey taking French lessons from Phoebe vibes LOL
@35:28 Jay trying to pronounce “au revoir” is hilarious. 🤣
I know what you mean about the little moments. The first time I saw this, "Ow.... Oh my arm... It's broken!" made me laugh so hard I cried.
I just about choked on smoke when you said "...oh your bootleg ass boat". My man, it was fun watching this with you.
I remember Rodney Dangerfield in the movie ladybugs. And I also remember his small part in natural born killers.
Great movie.... I grew up to this movie. Watched it a lot.... And I'm 39.
Ass broth? 😂 First time I've ever heard that 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite comedy of all time, just absolute comic genius
You must check out St. Vincent with Bill Murray, very underrated so good!!!!
Another great reaction. Thanks J. All y'all are fantastic. Y'all got me through 2 surgery recoveries in the last 2 years.
READY TO LOL! FUNNY MOVIE! RODNEY DANGERFIELD!
“He kinda looks like Bill Murray”….well yeah that makes sense 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 Blank told me later why - J
Jay,When You Said That Guy Kinda Looks Like Bill Murray! Well The Reason Why Is He’s The Younger Brother Bryan Doyle Murray! MIND BLOWN!!!
This was one of the movies that was a big part of my childhood. Mid to late 80's movies were the absolute best
“That’s basically @$$ broth.” LOL 😹
This was brilliant. Jay's commentary and the impressions of the characters had me rolling. Great reaction. Rodney Dangerfield is so funny.
I just knew you were going to start dancing when the Gopher did! lol
@JL Amazing classic comedy was a treat to see it again thru your eyes. Fun stuff
22.22-22.28, the way the audio cuts put with you laughing hard at Chevy Chase’s joke is hilarious.
One of the most quoted films for decades...and still is. My friends and i still quote this film often.
@6:55 That’s Brian Doyle-Murray, one of Bill’s brothers. He was also in Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters II, Scrooged, and The Razor’s Edge with Bill.
I love the reactions of younger people watching older pre-PC comedies.
Your comments during the movie, and reactions to Dangerfield's jokes, had me giggling SO HARD. Best reaction to this movie I've ever seen!
I agree 💯
I love, "You want to make $14 the hard way?" But, my favorite is, "YOU SCRATCHED MY ANCHOR!"
"It's basically a** broth."
I'm never getting in a pool ever again.
Great reaction to this classic comedy. 👍🏿
I came just because I KNOW the Murder Whistle is about to get his GROOVE ON with the gopher
I’m so glad you liked this one. It’s hilarious.
There is a Michelob commercial out there somewhere of Tony Romo doing Bill Murry swinging at the flowers, and he nails it. LOL
I'm so glad you could see a movie with your spirit animal in it J :)
6:40 OH MY GOD! I just realized this this is alot like the cartoon Regular Show - Benson, Mortecai, Rigby, etc
YEAH waited for this one ... watching it at least 2 Times a Year 🤔🤗👍👍👍👊
Thank you for this hilarious reaction. I couldn't stop laughing!
Yeayyy..... I'm actually on time to watch the premiere
Great Old Movie, But even Greater Reaction !!! That was Fun, Thank You
10:18 - Great. Now my neighbors think I'm some laughing psycho. :D
Happy to be here
ahhahahaha calling your dad out on the gerbil thing ahahahahahahah
I don’t know if this makes any sense but I feel it’s true. Rodney Dangerfield’s standup always leaves me kind of cold, but Rodney Dangerfield in any movie is comedy gold.
"Ass-broth"
Someone call Webster's Dictionary, we have the new word of the year
The hot blonde is Cindy Morgan, she's also in the original Tron movie. If you haven't seen it, you should
There's a local 80's radio station where I live that always plays a clip of "so what? so lets dance" before they play Anyway you want it. it's awesome
Murder Whistle's laugh is so damn fun! Good times!
Excited about Porky's. Fingers crossed you react to all 3.
Also, I know it gets a bad rap, but I love Caddyshack 2. Hoping you react to it as well.
"It's not the horse!"
The Lama also promised me total consciousness on my deathbed. That makes it all worthwhile.
Glad you got the cookies and then some lol
35:46 - 😂😂 Chevy Chase owns this movie for me.
"Ass broth"😳 I just can't with you 😂
A Gerbil😂😂😂 I love that. I'm glad I know that dance the gopher does (my generation still does when we hear that song) is called The Fat Boy Shuffle....I never knew that😂😂
20:56 "Ass broth" LOLOL!!!
@9:50 The typical par for an eighteen hole golf course is 72. Finishing with a par of 68 is very good.
You have to watch Bachelor Party. Best sun roof sight gag of all time.
Loved this film growing up lol
The guy in the yellow shirt who runs the caddy shack is Brian Doyle-Murray
Bill Murray’s younger brother
He has small roles in a lot of iconic movies
I’ve only seen this a few times, it’s funny and has some great comedic actors. At 6:49 you said he kinda looks like bill murray that’s because that’s bills brother. He also play The arcade owner in Wayne’s World and He played Chevy Chases boss in Christmas Vacation. @10:34 you see boy in back on right, damn out all them people your eyes went right to him lol..
If wanting major,LOL serial Mom,sick humor for it's time
He called me a baboon!....he thinks I'm his wife! Lmao, miss Rodney 😊
