Still here! Yes, eyeliner tutorial please. I’m 67 so while my lids aren’t hooded, I deal with crepey and wrinkled skin. Hard to be as precise as you are in this tutorial. Love to see your mom more often - closer to my age group! ❤
I would love a video that is actually demonstrating this on someone with hooded, wrinkled eyes… your eyes are so beautiful at your age and this makeup looks perfect on your eyes. Like a mature eye video.
Lisa, yours is one of the best for hooded, low real estate eyelids. You explained as you went about the shadow and light. I've been using several City Beauty products for several years. I learned a new way for the wrinkle filler. I also use the eyelid and under eye conditioner. I also have a new eyelid primer. Sometimes I use their facial primer with SPF30 with a bit of cheek color and/or bronzer. I'm 81 1/2 years old.😊
What a great video Lisa! I am filming a video about hooded eyes on Monday too and was looking for extra tips and techniques and you did not disappoint. So many golden nuggets in here! Thanks friend for sharing your incredible talent with the world and never gate keeping. ❤
Still here.. it’s the week my son… its the anniversary God needed another angel. The pain is never getting better. Never. Thank you it took off my mind off my pain for a few moments. Thank you great video. Sorry everyone if you have seen this already on Nikki’s video. I am totally alone amd not doing well in a city in Canada but had to move across the country. I have been in bed for 5 days now. I got up to get a popsicle as I cannot eat… and first time was so weak… God bless everyone here! xx
I don’t normally reply, but felt I needed to. I know exactly how you feel. I lost my son 28 years of age last Oct. It was devastating. I also lost a daughter who was only 13 months old in ‘93. I will say that time heals, but your heart hurts forever and you will always wish that they were here. Don’t hold your emotions in, let them out! However, you have to get out of bed and get on with your life! Find a support group or friend that you can talk to. I still have one living daughter and her 2 grandkids that bring me joy! Be strong and take care of yourself because you deserve it! I’m a Christian and that helps me to deal with the pain. No one knows the pain unless they have gone through it themselves. I pray your days get better and you get back to your work. My heart truly hurts for you!!! May God bless you and give you strength to get through this difficult time. I shed tears, then I push myself to move forward. ❤🙏🏼🙏🏼❤
@@TeresaLohmeier-l9y omg you are so so very kind. Thank you!! Everything you said is true and I should get out of bed but I have no one. I’m in a strange city far from home where I have so many people that could help me. I am isolated and things are getting worse not better. My husband wants to move to Mexico as he’s afraid of what’s happening here in US or Canada. I do pray though and I will pray for you, promise!!
This is an excellent tutorial. Your teaching method is detailed, yet easy to understand, because you are teaching the “whys” and that is often left out and so important in learning. You are a great teacher Lisa, and your beautiful personality (and pretty face) captivates your audience. Thank you. 😊
Wow...thus was very comprehensive ❤ Seems like City Beauty has been " knocking it out of the park" with many of their products. That was a crack up to see you obsessing over the last portion of the tutorial. Well thought out and intelligently put together...2 thumbs up 👍 👍
Thank you! I definitely have hooded eyelids. When I look straight ahead you do not see my lid, so I definitely appreciate tricks to lift. I would like to see a video on eye liners. 😊
Still here to the end! You always give such great tips Lisa. I am 69 and have hooded, crepey eyes. I am going to try several of your tips, although i doubt my end result will be as lovely as yours. 😊
You have such great control of your brushes with a very light hand. It is much more difficult for those of us just ten yyears older than you with mobility issues!!! I'm trying and I NEVER give up!!!
I watched the entire video, and appreciated the individual suggestions and loved the overall look! I will have to try at least one of the City Beauty eye products!
techinques added like turning your brushes on upper crease area are great. What I believe would also help people is placement of shadow on the brush.🎉😊👏👏👏 would love that❤ Thanks so much for the great video. Happy Holidays ☃️🎄
Loved the video. watched the entire thing. I enjoy the detail, instruction and explanation why you do/use the tools you do and how to apply. An eyeliner technique video would be great.
Still here and I'd appreciate an eyeliner theme video. I prefer using shadows rather than pencil products when I attempt to line, so any pointers about that would be great. Lots of helpful tips in this. I want to work on my brows to create more if that canvas below for the lid area.
I had purchased the wrinkle filler but was not trying it under the eyes - I will try that now. Also, I was just looking for an eyelid primer other than MAC paint pot as it has seemed dry to me lately, maybe I need a new one. I love your tutorials, Lisa! You are an amazing teacher and an incredibly kind person. Thank you! 🫶🏻
Yes on eyeliner tutorial. Would like to know about downturned eyes and how to keep eyeliner on when I curl my lashes. No matter how long it sets, I end up disturbing the liner.
Thank you Lisa, great information, I’m 71 and still learning better ways to apply my makeup. I have so many of your brushes that have withstood many years of usage. I have deep set eyes that are hooded and that are naturally very dark. I’m definitely going to order the eyelid primer because I’m still looking for a primer that not only takes care of lightening my eyelids but keeps the oily parts of my lids from showing thru yet still keep the dryer inner part of my eyelids less dry. I particularly liked the tip of how to soften and lighted the eyeliner pencil under the lower lashes. I can’t tell how many times I see older women make the mistake with putting too dark a pencil under the lower lashes. To me nothing looks harsher for us more mature women than being heavy handed with either eyeliner pencil or shadow under there. As I’ve aged I have changed how I apply my eye makeup cuz I’m not that 20 yr old with smooth skin because once the lines and saggy skin come into your life you have to change your techniques so you don’t look like a clown. Thanks again for the video.
The shimmer shadow you used was perfect for hooded eye's!!! I'm so glad you warn s not to use tight lining with dry eye's!! I knew this but only learned not long ago when I should have learned this much sooner!! I'm so glad your warning ladies about this problem!!
Lisa, thank you so much for being so specific with the brushes you use for each step. It helps me as I’m still figuring out which brushes to use- I just bought a lot from your Mother’s Day sale. Thank you for another great video. 💕🌸💕 P.S. -you look beautiful!🤩
This was such a great video! I would love an eyeliner video, too. I love city beauty but I've not tried either of these products, but I want to now. You have great undereyes anyway, but it looked really good today.
I can't tell you how wonderful it is to hear you inform people of the risks of dry eye and tightlinin g. As a person who has suffered for years with dry eye and blepharitis it has freaked me out how casually influencers advise people to tight line without any warning about the potential for damage to their eyes. My oil glands are 75% blocked (from illness) and treatments are not helping so I do not want anyone else to go through this or exacerbate existing issues. Thank you and please pass the word among your beauty friends.
Hi Lisa! I was watching your video while eating breakfast & need to head out for errands. I was going to just put on sunscreen & lipstick, but after watching your video, did a fairly quick makeup application and definitely feel & look better. Thanks for being such a a wonderful & inspiring teacher!!💓
I’m still here, Lisa! Lol. It’s really interesting because I didn’t realize I pretty much always had hooded eyes until I started doing TH-cam all those years ago and saw myself on camera. I realized that my brow hung over. So things like this have really helped me so much to open up my eyes. I sure enjoyed this Lisa. Please take care.
I love this video so much. I watch so many make up channels and copy what they do, and I end up feeling so over done. I just followed your video, pausing it along the way. I got such a beautifully defined eye that still has a natural look, and doesn’t look heavy. I especially like how you softened the look of the lined lower lashes. Beautiful!! 63 and I love it! Thank you Lisa!!🥰
I have watched a million hooded eye tutorials. So I knew all of these suggestions, but they are all good techniques to use. The groomed eyebrows and eye primer really make a difference. Excellent point about using the correct brush. ❤❤
At first, I was tempted to skip it because I couldn't follow, and it was long-winded. However, I kept watching until the end and ended up watching it again. It had some great techniques. 😆
I'm still here 😅 I appreciate your tutorials, they are so helpful. And you are so beautiful ❤ It would be great, if you can have a model with crow feet around the eyes and show a few techniques. Love your wonderful brushes ❤
Hi Lisa, I just wanna let you know that even though I just turned 60 in March, I am getting into applying eyeshadow. Your tutorials on how to hold the brush, the angle, motion, and looking straight ahead into the mirror have helped me tremendously. I am still getting the hang of what part of the brush I should apply the shadow to. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you for everything you do you’re awesome.

Still here…who would leave early?!?! Thank you so much for going slow and including SUCH SPECIFIC TIPS!! I learn so much from you!!! 😘
Yes , so glad you did this tutorial. I’m 62 I can use lots of tips😊❤️
I wish someone in their 60’s that actually has hooded eyes would do a tutorial on applying eye shadow.
Look up Glam Girl Gabbi “secrets to lifting sagging hooded eyes” she does exactly that.
Me = jealous over Lisa’s space for miles on her eye lids 😮😍 I obviously have lid envy 😄

So true!!
Great video! Loved the focus on which brushes to use when defining the crease!
I’d love a video on eyeliner. I feel like the looks have changed so much over the last few years.
Hi Lisa, Yes, Please do a vid on eyeliner, especially for over 70's. Not hooded....Tk u
You have the perfect eyes for make up application. No hooding, no crepey skin…youthful eyes, I’m soooo envious. ❤❤❤
