I’m a former professional makeup artist and still wear makeup on occasion but not as much as I used to wear. I feel that as we get older, less looks better. I’m glad you’re showing women how to make their faces look more uplifted, as I regularly see women wearing makeup incorrectly. My pet-peeve for the past several years is that some women are looking more like female impersonators with very exaggerated features, especially their brows and spider-like false lashes. I feel that good skincare is way more important and if your skin is good, you don’t have to cake on the makeup in an attempt to hide bad, unhealthy skin. It’s really quite simple, stay hydrated, eat well, stay active, use sunscreen, and have a good skincare regime. For special occasions or for work, wear a bit of makeup to accentuate your good features, but as Robert Browning said “less is more”. Oh, one more thing, what is your stand on ingredients? Many of the brands, such as Maybelline, L’Oreal, CoverGirl, Revlon, Estée Lauder, and even several of the more expensive department store brands, are not known for having non-toxic products, in fact, quite the contrary. I feel that if you’re going to live healthily in other areas of your life, you should definitely be cautious of what you put on your skin (which is ultimately absorbed). I consult the EWG Skin Deep Cosmetics Database to see which products are safest. I also utilize their Dirty Dozen/Clean 15 lists for fruits and vegetables that have the most (or least) pesticides. There’s literally nothing more important than health, from the inside and on outside.
Once I was talking to a lady who had worked with Chanel products for many years and she told me that the base, meaning the skin, is the most important part of makeup. If you have good skin then you don’t need much makeup.
This is one of the best hooded eye tutorials I’ve ever seen. I don’t like commenting on yt vids but I felt so understood. She really explains the struggle of having hooded eyes and she explains why she used each each technique. Thank you!
I have loved make up since I was 13. I am now 84 1/2 and still love it and use it every day. Thank you for this tutorial. I have those awful hooded eyes and struggle with my eye shadow trying to hide my lids. I use a wet brush as the dry one won't adhere the color to my lids. Don't know why. But i enjoy your so much I will try again tomorrow using dry (powder) shadow instead of painting the color on. Hope it works. Keep it up dear. There is always an old lady out there trying to learn modern methods to apply her make up.💜
Doris Turner hello Doris! You need to use a eyeshadow primer it will help tremendously. A good one is at Ulta the Urban Decay brand. It will make your eyeshadow not only stay better and longer but it will make the pigments show up more on your shadow. Using a palette that’s name brand would be better too. Some of the colors that are cheaper don’t have great pigments in them so when you apply them they don’t have enough pigment. Hope this helps!
Ms Turner, you are awesome!! Wish my 75 year old mom was as good with modern technology as you are. I'm also loving the fact that you're willing to to try something new with your makeup. I hope this worked out for you ❤❤
Out of all the makeup tutorials, yours makes the most sense to me. You made it so easy to understand. I’ve never been much of a makeup wearer. But after seeing this, I actually have the confidence to try it out. Thank you. 💚💚💚
I'm 25 and I have very droopy hooded eyes and I have been so discouraged at how most eyeshadow tutorials have not flattered my eyes AT ALL. This video is like the holy grail for me. I have yet to see someone with eyes even similar to mine but your's are almost spot on! Thank you so much for making this tutorial!!
I know this tutorial is a couple of years old now but as an older woman with hooded eyes I've just tried this technique, wow honestly I can't believe the difference, who knew, I'd been doing it wrong all these years! Thank you so much x
exact same here, just ran across this recently while on a mission to get tips to completely overhaul my eye makeup look - i'm looking at 60 not far away, this old horse ain't what she used to be! 😹 this has turned out to be a complete game-changer. sooo grateful thank you Dominique!!!
She also has one where she does a lift on one side and the wrong way on the other so you can see the difference. She really breaks through some of the "classic" ways we've been applying makeup and as we age and our eyes change how we apply makeup needs to change too.
i never comment on anyones channel but I have to say your tutorials rock!! they are concise well executed without all that verbal "fluff" and I just love how you wrap up everything at the end, A true professional. Thank you!
I've been rocking this look for more than a year now. I have recieved so many wonderful compliments on how i wear my makeup just by using your techniques and i just wanted to thank you for sharing this video. I absolutely love it.
You’re the one woman that I now follow. I’ve learned so much about makeup for mature women. I’m just beginning to really care about how I look and feel because of infidelity on my husbands part, but now I have young and older men looking and admiring me. You are a miracle worker.
I have been a Make up Artist for 33years and within 2 minutes of watching your channel for the first time I am BLOWN AWAY by your concisely delivered knowledge. THANK YOU for being so thought through with your personable approach to helping others learn how to help themselves feel beautiful. I'll be looking forward to viewing your latest. Have a BEAUTIFUL day 🍀
Wow such a different approach. I am mature 67 and just recovered from breast cancer. Decided to take a new interest in my make up to motivate my recovery. Putting my make up on is like meditation now. I’m really struggling with eye make up and colour combinations. I love mauve and pinks. Glad I found you.
I’m so glad you are addressing this. We don’t have enough tutorials for women over 40. My eyes are naturally turned down and now my skin is starting to follow. I’ve been confused about eyeliner cause if I lift my skin to put liner on and then release it just takes the line down with it. Arg!
Wisdom Calls personal opinion, but I think naturally turned down eyes are so pretty. Like Katie Holmes. Have you ever watched Zabrena’s videos. She has naturally turned down eyes and she does really pretty eye looks.
Wisdom Calls you bet. She is younger but she has a nice personality and isn’t part of the “TH-cam beauty community”, therefore no drama. But she does a lot of unsponsored reviews on both high end and drugstore products.
Wisdom Calls - You can get a nice eyeliner effect by pushing liner between your lashes along the upper lash line. I use a magnifying mirror, and while looking up, I press the liner (using a flat liner brush) between the lashes, all the way along (on the underside of the lashes - not along the top eyelid). If I try to do this using an eye pencil, I find it difficult to get the pencil between the lashes. A pencil works great if you're lining the inner rim, but not so great if you want colour between the lashes. You can achieve this using a pigmented eyeshadow, but I like to use an eye pencil. I just run the edge of the liner brush along the tip of the pencil, and then push the colour between the lashes. You can control how much product you put between the lashes, creating a subtle line or a thicker line. Experiment to see what works best for you. I discovered this technique years ago watching a video by MakeupByTiffanyD "Eyeliner HowTo: Tightlining Technique (Apr. 16, 2011). It changed my life!! In this video, she uses the Laura Mercier Tightlining Cake liner, which I have, and it works well, but over the years I moved on to using the pencil instead. Both work very well. You have to experiment to see what works best for you. I would encourage you to watch Tiffany's video. She shows you exactly how to do it!
Every tutorial you make is an inspiration for us who are not spring chickens anymore. Your applications are like updates to the cosmetic training I learned in my youth but more in touch with what I need now. Some of these techniques are very subtle but amazing improvements for the beauty problems we have as we get a bit older. I find myself watching every one!!! Thank you!
This was so helpful. I am 67 and my lovely skin has fallen and so did my interest in makeup. I always just loved all things makeup and beauty bc it was fun. Thank you for inspiring me to try again. God bless you for sharing hope. I would like to see you do a lady with wrinkles to deal with. If anyone can do it you can! 🤗🤗🤗
This is such a beautiful look. The mauve/plum tone really heightens the green in your hazel eyes. I am 40 and the outside on my lids are starting to droop ever so slightly. This is super useful for me! It is not often on YT you see new techniques, especially those that concern how to make 35+ year old women look and feel our best. Thank you!
You just blew my mind! I've struggled with eye shadow my entire life and now can't wait to try to do this at least half as well as you do. Thank you for sharing!!!
Wow, this contradicts everything I've ever heard about mature eye makeup and yet makes so much sense. Thank you, I can't wait to try out your techniques.
This is The BEST tutorial on this topic (correcting makeup to uplift heavy, downturned, "hooded" eyes). I have watched MANY of them and this one is by far the most concise and helpful, with precise techniques, carefully EXPLAINED. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank you so much Dominique i am 75 years young i have had 5 back surgery’s and 3 knee replacements just keep on with all the Blessings I have received. I always look forward to your videos love fashion and good skin care always keeping it classy. You do give us seniors wonderful tutorials you are so encouraging us all so classy Happy Valentines day to you and hubby and many blessings back to you and family see you next thursday
My eyelids are much more droopy then your, in fact I’m hoping to get them removed next year. I’m 72 and hated them all my life. I will try your technique and hope it improves my eyes till I have them done. Do you offer a discount on NARS products?
Love this video. I found that I i ws doing somethings right and was doing the opposite of what I was trying to accomplish in the first place on the other eye.. I always love the way you present what you are explaining as you do the application !!!BRAVO,BRAVO, BRAVO
This is completely thorough & professional, educational & most importantly inspirational. I can't wait to use your techniques. Thank you for this well made, precise & step-by-step journey of transformation. Indeed, you have shown me a way to bring forth ... a better me. Let me add too, you are a lovely woman.
GO for it,all you young at heart ladies! I am 88 and three/fourths and still enjoy putting on a pretty face! Have always taken very good care of my skin so at my age,so not have deep wrinkles , thankful also for good genes! Love watching these excellent tutorials, really help with the upper lid droop! Best of life for all of you! God Bless! Carol Brown😍
Thank you, thank you, thank you! My eyes are very close to yours - smaller lid, slightly downturned at the edges, deep set, and hooded. Have been watching TH-cam for years, and you are the first person I've found with a similar eye structure who has an eyeshadow tutorial. I hadn't heard of this idea, and I'm SO excited to try this.
I never post comments on anyone's video but you go in depth so much that it's easy to follow. I recently started trying to do my eye makeup and I've watched so many videos for hooded eyes but my eyes still look bad no matter how much effort I put into it and yes you're so right! It's completely different when you're a little bit older. I'm about to try your techniques and I can't wait to see how amazing they're gonna be when I'm done! You are so beautiful and im thankful for you and this video!
B.b. Gun you should watch SugarPluffAndFluff lady on TH-cam who also does hooded eyes tutorials, and she’s brilliant! I learned so much from her! Just a recommendation 😊
She's actually making it look a lot easier than it is! But practice with these techniques in the vid over just a little time-- it takes 30 days to create a habit with most things--- will make it almost second nature. The results here look perfect!
Makeup for me use to be so effortless, anything I did just worked and people would always complement my eyes and lips. However as I hit my mid 30's my eyes started to have that downward droop in the corners and I have been so frustrated because I didn't have the knowledge to know how to make it seem more lifted. I'm literally 37 yrs old watching makeup tutorials for the first time in my life and I tried this and it worked wonderfully. Your looks are so beautiful and fresh. So happy I found your channel. Thank you for the advice!
same, girl same! +How much has YT changed in that time.. now I can actually find women the same age or older than me,that makes fantastic tutorials! for Hooded Eye's! This was Golden! Thank you! Charlotte Finland 👋🙂👍❤️
MeMe Tresh Johnson another great lady to follow or just watch her hooded eyes tutorials is SugarPluffAndFluff (or something along these lines 😄) and she’s amazing also! I learned SO MUCH from her and I’m only 26. She has hooded, down turned eyes and she’s overall a lovely lady with an interesting accent. Haha I find her adorable anyway 😊
Wow you look beautiful with lil make up and make up!!! It all looks great on you because your naturally beautiful with your hair color that matches your makeup and lipstick 💄
I literally love the way you explain everything. Very detail oriented. This is the first time I watched one of your videos and I tell you honestly you got yourself a new a new fan!!! Thank you so much for sharing sweetheart!! 1000 % May God bless you even more cause He already is with such a talent!!
Loved the detailed tutorial for eyelids. So many people have this problem. And not just older women. I will definitely try this technique. Turned out beautifully for you.
This is one of your older videos, but I'm trying to watch as many as I can because you've already solved several issues for me. The first would be making my lips look bigger with liners, lipsticks and gloss. Second, contouring and highlighting is new to me, and I know it's all the rage now, but with those trends comes overdoing it. I appreciate how you showed us how to contour and highlight sparingly with a powder palette. I had already watched a video where you explained eyebrow "lifting," and this video gave a few more details on that. And your eyeshadow detail was spot on in this video. That's where I'm having the most difficulty. I have hope and faith that after I try the techniques you show here, I'll be able to pull off that beautiful made-up eye look. Thanks so much. Your tutorials are helpful, and your generous spirit is evident in your videos. Much love and respect to you...
@Dominique Sachse I know this tutorial is two years old, but I still love this look for work. It's such a classic smokey eye, without being *too* OTT for work. Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you. 💖
My goodness Dominique , the outcome is just beautiful... I love the colors that you use, I’ll put myself to practice this shadow art make up ... thank you !
This was a superb hooded eye tutorial. I’ve learned so much that I thought I knew already! I can’t wait to get started with the Dominique way. Thank you.
Girlfriend, I don't know what it is but I find your makeup tutorials to be SO relaxing! You're like the Bob Ross of makeup tutorials but far prettier! Lol! So, I'm 48 and thankfully still have a young appearance. I do have slightly hooded eyes and this was seriously helpful! Also, I have no idea what your opinion of transgender women is but to be fair in knowing your audience, I'm a transgender woman and find you to be so inspiring. I may have come out years ago if I'd had a sister and mentor in my life as classy as you. Thank you for all that you do and all that you are as a woman! Women like yourself make femininity something to be proud of as well as a strength and I can't thank you enough for that! 💗💗💗
I have the same problem as far as crease goes. There is a little fat pad on the inside of the eye area I have always tapped a very light taupe on to make it recede. Oh the things we learn with age. I am 67 and feel ( and look )so much better with makeup. This a stellar look on you. So grateful you are giving of yourself to share. I can't do what 99% on here do. Less is more on me but I love a polished look.Thank you, Cheryl
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed! I don’t have hooded eyelids but I’ve always worn a smokey look for evenings/dressy events. At 48, I needed an alternative but wasn’t sure how to do it.
I absolutely love how you shaped your eyes in this video! This information is exactly what I needed and makes me excited to go practice this technique. Thank you so much! You look absolutely lovely.
I'm 32 and I have hooded, slightly downturned eyes. I'm so glad I found this tutorial. I kept trying tutorials for hooded eyes that said to put something slightly darker in the crease and something lighter on the lid and it almost never looks good on me. Again, thank you so much.
Always love your videos! I have been a make up and skin care junkie since I was 15 yrs old and now, at 72, I still am! I had to modify my look to be age appropriate and I will always be well groomed and make up perfect. Thank you for all of the helpful advice for women of all ages.
I really hate my hooded eyes .I was so happy when you showed this for the eye shadows that I have and haven't been able to were .I had my eye brows done like you and I love them .I was missing spots in my eye brows and it really made a big difference . 😍
I agree with the Bob Ross comment! I have watched so many tutorials on this subject and you are the only one who explained the reasons why the placement works so well. Thank you!
I had my eyebrows "tattooed" because I was not artistic enough to do it myself everyday. Saved me loads of time and my brows always look good. My eyes droop now that I am in my 60's, so I appreciate you creating this informative video.
Dominique, I've learned a lot of techniques over the years. I've almost had this right - and your tutorial gave me some missing pieces of information. Love your voice and your articulation. Thank you!
I'm not a makeup artist, and this is the only time I have ever disagreed with any of Dominique's advice (She's my hero!), but in the interest of authentic sharing of ideas, and wanting the best for others, I have to say...I think a dark color on the lid serves to make our eyes look more sunken in and older, no matter how small your eyelid may be. Even in this video, Dominique looks younger and fresher before applying any eyeshadow, than afterwards. I appreciate the rest of the advice though, and am changing up my brow routine a bit.
I think it depends on the look you are going for - fresh faced or made up. So she showed us 2 looks, one without eye shadow and the other with. As I've gotten older I started using darker on my lids and going up over the crease but I couldn't figure out why I was changing my routine, although I have been much happier with the results. Guess my sub conscience knew something I didn't. And I loved the connecting/blending tips, especially in regards to the brushes used and how not to overdo the bottom lid line; I've never been happy with a bottom line but will now try it.
Completely disagree. She looks ten years younger after applying the eye shadow. Not only that, I have her same lids. Very low crease that makes my eyes look tiny when my face and eyes swell (awful allergies). My eyes are a dark shade of green. But, I tried this exact thing with almost identical colors, and was told the next day at work that I looked much younger suddenly -though no one could figure out what I had done. I also followed her eye brow advice with it. Thank you so much, Dominique!
They didn’t teach us much about mature skin in cosmetology school so I’ve had to learn through TH-cam videos and through trial and error. Your channel has been an amazing help. Thanks so much, gorgeous! Much love 💕
Ta da , you are a magician, this technique really gives the illusion of a higher lid.💯👌. Did somebody get a shorter haircut between last video and this one ? You look beautiful with this colors. ♥️
Just love your tutorials. You are so detailed & offer great suggestions. I’m glad you have listed the make up used in the description box (so time is not wasted on the video). Now, that I’m older, I especially need a video like this.
Even younger people have this problem. I'm in my mid 30s and I have hooded droopy eyes. I dont even bother with top eye eyeliner because then my fold of my droopy eye hides it and it looks weird. When I don't get enough sleep my eyes look even more hooded. I've always had hooded droopy eyes but they have gotten a lot worst.😿😽
thank you for this tutorial. It was a lot of talking, but you include the theory behind each choice. That is so helpful and, of course, applies to any palette.
I know this video is old but for some reason it popped up today. And I’m glad it did. I have been watching a ton of videos for hooded eyes lately but managed to pick up a tip or two from your video. You could definitely see how you uplifted your eyes with your techniques. I can’t wait to try out your tips. And to find more videos you’ve made. Thank you!
Wow interesting, I always thought light on the lid darker in crease, no wonder I always hated the way my eyes looked in pictures! Thanks for the tips, I will be working on this for sure!
You can still wear light colors or shimmers on part of your lid, it's all about placement. You would just still need to have a matte darker color above the lighter or shimmery color to create the illusion of a higher crease. I'm still trying to figure it all out, but wanted you to know. Stephanie Lange has alot of hooded eye tips and tricks if you ever want to check her videos out for more ideas.
I very much enjoyed this tute! Very much. My eyes have been 'hooded' my whole life; age has made them more noticeable and NOT in a good way ;) I've tried many techniques and will eagerly try this one today. My thought or quest for this would be: a before and after snap that we can see and compare the dramatic effect/improvement of your tutes. I don't know if it's just me, but I always think its helpful if not simply cool to see the change side-by-side. Thank you for your time, effort and candor in your videos. Blessings.
I love your advise and tutorials. I have learned so much. I am a60 year old woman with drooping eyelids. This is great advise. I also have learned so much about class by watching you. Thank you for you being you.
Thank you! I have noticed my lids "receding" as in more of hood happening and this is perfect as I was still somewhat doing the old application, gonna try this today. I love your tutorials, you are just lovely!
Thank you Dominique, this is my first time watching your channel, I just loved it, not only are you beautiful outside, but also inside, for trying to help others look much better than they are, I truly enjoyed this, found it very helpful, for I too have hooded eyelids as I got older. This has helped me out. I will try this. Thank you so much for posted this video, & for just being you. I have now subscribed to your channel, knowing there are great videos to come. GOD bless you & yours. 🌷 Cathy🌷 in NYC
I saw this tutorial a week ago. Went out and bought the colors. Followed the instructions. I look a lot better. Much better method than the others. Do it! You will be glad you did!
Hi Dominique, I just love your videos! I am amazed how great you look with mauve and purple colors on your eyes... I have greenish/hazel eyes with a little bit of yellow in it and I am afraid to even try these colors. You may have inspired me to try them though...
I've always heard/read that mauve/lavender colors can make the green in eyes really pop! Don't be afraid to try colors and just play around with them. It's fun!
I really like the fact that you used a quite dark neutral with that cool plum color... I learned some really helpful new hints here! Thanks so much! Blessings 🙏
The eye brow wing "outing" is a game changer! Makes such a huge difference! and you can see it before you do the same for the other brow. The "whisks" though....you have the touch of an artist! I know you'll say it's "all int he wrist" and practice, practice, practice! Dominique, you are a breath of fresh air', so inspiring! I have "met" you twice: once at Memorial park where you were jogging and I was speed walking. You motivated me to try jogging. Although I was in best shape of my life - MS 150 participant for 7 years - running has never been my forte! So thanks to you I started running around Rice! The second time was at a baby store in Rice Village, on a corner of streets I cannot remember the names of and can't verify since I live in Germany now! I can't wait to order and read your book. I already tried your eye makeup and it's... wow! Sans the eye brows whisks :-). Stay healthy, blessed and beautiful! May you be rewarded with all the goodness and beauty life has to offer as you reward us with your vlogs, posts, tutorials and inspirational writings!

Mies Van der Rohe, the famous minimalist architect, is the one who made the famous statement: "Less is more."

I was once told I had Sylvester Stallone eyes, I was horrified, they are that droppy. This tutorial helped me so much.

Arg!

Candace Fife my tight liner does not last. Have you found a brand that stays on?
Wisdom Calls - You can get a nice eyeliner effect by pushing liner between your lashes along the upper lash line. I use a magnifying mirror, and while looking up, I press the liner (using a flat liner brush) between the lashes, all the way along (on the underside of the lashes - not along the top eyelid).
That's the best hooded y tutorial I've seen to date! Well articulated and easy to follow instructions. Thank you.
Thank you! I had just about given up on eye shadow. Now I see the value and look forward to having more fun with colors. 💜 🙏
My eyelids are much more droopy then your, in fact I’m hoping to get them removed next year. I’m 72 and hated them all my life. I will try your technique and hope it improves my eyes till I have them done. Do you offer a discount on NARS products?
Rachel?
Love this video. I found that I i ws doing somethings right and was doing the opposite of what I was trying to accomplish in the first place on the other eye.. I always love the way you present what you are explaining as you do the application !!!BRAVO,BRAVO, BRAVO
This is completely thorough & professional, educational & most importantly inspirational. I can't wait to use your techniques. Thank you for this well made, precise & step-by-step journey of transformation. Indeed, you have shown me a way to bring forth ... a better me. Let me add too, you are a lovely woman.
Wow, this is the best tip for mature hooded eyes i've ever seen... and it looks fantastic, thanks for the video!
You are a Wizard with make up! Love ,Love ,Love this eye look! Do you recommend getting eyebrows tattooed on?
GO for it,all you young at heart ladies! I am 88 and three/fourths and still enjoy putting on a pretty face! Have always taken very good care of my skin so at my age,so not have deep wrinkles , thankful also for good genes! Love watching these excellent tutorials, really help with the upper lid droop! Best of life for all of you! God Bless! Carol Brown😍
Wow! I’m 60 yrs old and this is the best tutorial I’ve ever seen 👌🏻. Great job Dominique 😊
Same!!
Best eyeshadow tutorial for mature women I’ve seen!
I’m 19 and my eyes are already completely hooded and saggy
B.b. Gun you should watch SugarPluffAndFluff lady on TH-cam who also does hooded eyes tutorials, and she’s brilliant! I learned so much from her! Just a recommendation 😊
yes it it.
@@samantarizzi248 I agree with you,she is wonderful!
You are literally the “Bob Ross” of makeup!! You make it so anyone can do this!! Thank you!
Funny you should mention Bob Ross! I like to watch his videos because I find them relaxing and of course he is, was, brilliant! So, too, IS Dominique!
i was literally just about to comment this lol
She's actually making it look a lot easier than it is! But practice with these techniques in the vid over just a little time-- it takes 30 days to create a habit with most things--- will make it almost second nature. The results here look perfect!
Best comment! So true!
Excellent video
Makeup for me use to be so effortless, anything I did just worked and people would always complement my eyes and lips. However as I hit my mid 30's my eyes started to have that downward droop in the corners and I have been so frustrated because I didn't have the knowledge to know how to make it seem more lifted. I'm literally 37 yrs old watching makeup tutorials for the first time in my life and I tried this and it worked wonderfully. Your looks are so beautiful and fresh. So happy I found your channel. Thank you for the advice!
I have literally watched over 50 tutorials on hooded eyes. Your is hands down the very BEST one. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
same,girl same!
+How much has YT changed in that time.. now I can actually find women the same age or older than me,that makes fantastic tutorials! for Hooded Eye's!
This was Golden!
Thank you!

Finland 👋🙂👍❤️
MeMe Tresh Johnson another great lady to follow or just watch her hooded eyes tutorials is SugarPluffAndFluff (or something along these lines 😄) and she’s amazing also! I learned SO MUCH from her and I’m only 26. She has hooded, down turned eyes and she’s overall a lovely lady with an interesting accent. Haha I find her adorable anyway 😊
@@samantarizzi248 TY👍♥️
Mrs10yearsafter no worries 😉
Same.
Amazing!!! At first, I thought the eyeshadow was way too dark but the end result was beautiful and natural! Great video. Thanks!
First timer here, wonderful! Thanks
I am 59 years old and have hooded eyes. I loved your video. I learned more from you than other videos. Thank you!
I am a beautician for 30 years. Dominique, your fresh video is really helpful finally!! Practicing till i drop ♥ Love from Amsterdam
Finally ! Lessons for my smaller, deepset eyes and minimal lids!! I can't wait to try your techniques!!
1000 % May God bless you even more
cause He already is with such a talent!!
Yes!🙌
Add something for those of us over 60-plus please!!
Hands down, best ever tutorial for hooded eyes . Can't wait to practice it. Thank you Dominique ❤❤❤
Yes but she doesn't have hooded eyes, how about using a model with real hooded eyes
@@patriciacarey3380 oh Jeeze that doesn’t matter. She’s showing how to do the technique. That’s the important part 🙄
@Dominique Sachse I know this tutorial is two years old, but I still love this look for work. It's such a classic smokey eye, without being *too* OTT for work. Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you. 💖
Dominique, you are simply the best. In your delivery, intelligence, kindness, I so appreciate you.
I am 70 and my lids are collapsing with every single year that goes by. Still, I keep trying. I will try this new technique tomorrow.
My goodness Dominique , the outcome is just beautiful... I love the colors that you use, I’ll put myself to practice this shadow art make up ... thank you !
you are such a classy lady 💞
Have a blessed day today everyone 🙏💜
I'm so excited I've gone without makeup for while since I'm a senior but you've
Inspired me to buy makeup and wear again I've learned alot from you
Love this tutorial. I'm 61 and have had my eyes done along with a face lift at 45, but now things are drooping again. Thank you for your help!
Love this technique. It makes so much sense. Thanks bunches Dominique!
Finally, a tutorial that is elegant, professional and really bloody useful. Thank you!,
Thank you I love the advice you gave. It looks beautiful and natural.❤
I love this look on you. I cannot wait to try it myself. My eyes are more hooded but I LOVE trying new techniques. Thank you!!
I feel like I can actually do this, you made it so simple and very thorough! You are so beautiful even with out makeup 💄 THank you!!!
Always love your videos! I have been a make up and skin care junkie since I was 15 yrs old and now, at 72, I still am!
I had to modify my look to be age appropriate and I will always be well groomed and make up perfect.
Thank you for all of the helpful advice for women of all ages.
What magic!!! It showed me you're never too old to embrace new techniques! Thanks, am a new fan/follower.
Thank you!
Finally a beautiful classy look for my eyes..I love your tutorials I started watching your hair ones.
Hi Dominique
Love your blouse great color!
Wonderful tips today. Have a good week. Thanks Jennifer 😄
Leaning a lot from you
Your video is so soothing, inviting, and easy to follow. You’re like, the Bob Ross of makeup tutorials. 💕
I've watched many videos on hooded eyes but this is by far the most superior one.
@@lisapergolizzi-brock2988 It's definitely fun to experiment with different looks and techniques.
Neato Keto Me too- I never seen her videos before and I am a lot older then she is but this technique is like nooooo
You're GORGEOUS & I'm sooo happy to have found you!! You have addressed MY issue. Excited to try it now.
Thank you ... 😊
Just love your tutorials. You are so detailed & offer great suggestions. I’m glad you have listed the make up used in the description box (so time is not wasted on the video). Now, that I’m older, I especially need a video like this.
Love the look! I appreciate the attention to the 40+ needs!
moongoddess124: and 50+ needs as well!
That is so helpful and, of course, applies to any palette.
cattycorner thank you it look great
I know this video is old but for some reason it popped up today.
Stacy , thanks for letting me no, I will check her out.
I totally hate my eyes in pictures! I'm trying this in the morning!
You are a great teacher! Thank you
Shasti Yes, She really is.
I’ve watched dozens of hooded eye videos and yours is the most helpful!!
Just wanted to tell you thank you so much for all your videos...you make it look so easy!
Thank you! Love all your advice!
Blessings.
Good suggestion;, I wished for that too so I took a screen shot of the before and after for myself. 👀👁️👁️
You are DROPPPPPEEDDD DEAD GORGEOUS! omg and the way you talk and explain it's so easy, Huge thank you! you are just AMAZING!
Yes! I’ve known this for years,..sadly all the supposed experts on TH-cam think otherwise. thank you for setting the record straight on this❤️
Hi Dominique from Northern Ireland. God bless x
Love, love, love...thank you so much. I was doing it completely and utterly wrong!
This is still one of the best tutorials for downturned eyes.
It's beautiful without being heavy or complicated.

This has been the Best tutorial I've seen for my hooded eyes. Thx!
I saw this tutorial a week ago. Went out and bought the colors. Followed the instructions. I look a lot better. Much better method than the others. Do it! You will be glad you did!
Glad it helped!
It's fun!
Great video for us "hooded" ladies! And I am going to purchase that Sephora palette. It looks beautiful.
I really like the fact that you used a quite dark neutral with that cool plum color... I learned some really helpful new hints here! Thanks so much! Blessings 🙏
She makes it look so easy. Practice makes perfect I guess.
The Best Hooded Eye Tutorial I’ve Seen 🤗 and I’ve seen a lot. I’m 65 and I’m very Happy With This Look 😊 and You are Beautiful 🌹
I like this look. I've been watching videos on eyeliner wings, but I like this more subtle look using eye shadow more.
FABULOUS 💖💖💖Very Natural!!!
You are sooo beautiful 💛💛💛
One of the best tutorials I've seen.
