I'm always more productive when Engel is playing. In between some of his shots I had time to shower and shave, wash my car, make an omelette, and change my carburetor.
And that was just the first rack

No, Engel isn't nearly the slowest player I've seen. There was a guy from Chicago Heights area named Mark Prodico, not sure the last name spellings correct that makes Engel look like a speed shooter. He is without a doubt the slowest player ever. Just saying...

Dumb question, but why do the use that paper triangle instead of using the traditional plastic triangle to rack them easier?
The Magic Rack holds the balls in perfect position every time while the traditional racks cannot get all the balls touching.

Shane’s 8 ball jump was amazing got robbed on the 5 12
18:19 He got away with one there and everyone knew it. The look on Shane's face, the commentators going silent for about 30 seconds, and the surprised and relieved reaction of Jesse made it very evident.
As a total layman, can someone maybe tell me why they don't use that triangle thingy to rack the balls. It's seems to be some much more effort to place them like they do here.
You get a much more consistent rack this way. With a triangle there are tiny gaps between the balls and that makes the balls react different every time. With the magic rack all the balls are more likely to touch and the balls spread in a consistent predictable pattern.
Consistency. It is also so flat that the impact it has on the game is basically imperceptible.

Maybe there needs to be a shot-clock against this guy but think about it if you were playing Shane Van boening would you take your time

Jim Kane Jesse didn't take any longer than Shane did. I think you must not realize that when balls are tied up in the game of 8 ball it takes longer

The commenters could have had a little more enthusiasm at the end the sport needs more of that or it's just going to die out. With the announcers can't act excited how are we supposed to get excited that was a great f****** match slow or not.
