In every beginner tutorial on TH-cam, people say "You should do X and use Y Items etc" which is easy to understand for veterans, but as a beginner you get a million different items, that based on the text do the same thing + a UI that is anything but userfriendly... It would be great if you made a video with the very basics of how to upgrade your Season gear past Naru. As a beginner I don't know if I should use up Cron stones? Valk Items? Keep spaming upgrade even if it keeps failing? Please make a video in which you go over the Items and UI ingame and explain the strategies slowly so beginners can understand too! Korean MMO's do their utmost best to make their ingame systems as bloated and inconvenient as possible with a million items that do the same thing.
That's not really my focus in terms of content. You should check Evildousharm, Quendya or Chrispoli. They're usually much more detailed in that regards.
I was hoping this was the video to show me how to even get tuvala gear. Idek why people will tell you what’s meta but not tell you how to get it when it’s not obvious
Basically you grind out Tuvala ore and timefilled black stones on a seasonal server. You exchange the Tuvala ore with a blacksmith in any major town for gear. Enhance it with time filled black stones. There’re lots of ways to get the mats. I suggest exploring around a seasonal server first before looking into gear progression and referring to a seasonal server guide. It can get pretty overwhelming as a new player but take it step by step
Usually the play is just making a seasonal character. If you didn’t have anything then probably do main story for quest gear. Then chip your way to full tet boss gear and start off from the post-season section. Tet boss gear = pen Tuvala gear
interesting take on progression, defo is more reared towards new players, and to those that maybe dont grind consistently and in high volume, but i do wonder how with the same defensive gear, but pen bs awa and mh i have 2 less dp :S
I'm curious if godyr is actually worth it. BS just seem way easier to hit. Especially for TET. Lower stack required and easy to get to tri for those attempts. May just be my carrier behind showing though 😂 different story if purchased outright though, but I prefer enhancing my own gear.
Godyr pen is the same as bs pen its literally a filler between tet bs and pen bs, so duo-tri godyr is better than tet bs by small margin its so u can keep progressing slowly instead of being hard stuck waiting on pen bs
I love that im a veteran BDO player that played since release and im still at post season gear because the upgrade rng in this game is just too brutal !!
@@Unknown_Web_User Im not sure what you are getting at here ? I play the game the way it's made ? When you try to upgrade your gear there is a chance of success at around 2-3%, so in my case i have just been very unlucky that out of the 1000s of upgrade attempts, i have only succeded 1 time at a PEN Dandelion
@@Unknown_Web_User Im not saying it sounds bad or offensive - im just stating facts. I have a 275/187/174 etc. fs, and do you know how i got them that high ? By failing upgrade attempts ;) So what i am doing here, is not complaining. Im just letting new players know what they might be getting themselves into.
@@Unknown_Web_User Well, starting to go for PEN at around 100 failstacks, and taking into account that in order to raise your failstacks you need to do upgrade attempts without cron stones, you gain about 3 failstacks per failed attempt, that accounts to 60 failed attempts on that stack alone. Each time you fail you then fall back to pre-season gear and have to make your way back. Then you reach the point where your stack is fairly high and you don't want to regress and you start to only go for attempts when you have aquired the 1 billion silver needed to buy cron stones. But yeah - you are right... the upgrade system is perfect as it is and every BDO player is letting you know that it's the best feature of the game. Seems this conversation is not really getting any of us anywhere :)
yea i mean ive played on and off since release, if you gather enough information from how to build stacks and set yourself up for a session of repeated attempts i can't fathom that its just an rng issue. And I'm not here to call you out, but on a video thats meant for new players I just don't think its healthy to say rng has stopped me from going beyond a very low point for the past 7 years. Likely due to maybe you not actually playing the game and coming on once in a while or only waiting for event given crons to tap boss gear. Doesn't give a realistic picture to new players is all.
Tuvala weapon is equal to kzarka. Blackstar has more monster AP than kzarkas. Honestly I should update it to be Godr-ayed. Those are cheaper than blackstar IV. Everytime they give out free J hammers, IV Blackstar blasts up in price. Anyway, Blackstar/Godr-Ayed are better than kzarka for pve. We used to caphra our kzarka but that's really not necessary anymore with the introduction of Godr-ayed weapons.
I dont wanna switch if i have to start over... i did sooooo much discovery. Oh and the 400+ contribution points, and all the cooking, gathering and fishing holyshit no thank you i will not start over 😂
Update, so i switched, my account in pc is more progressed than ps5... 325 CP 320 Max energy 600 GS and all AP sheets (journals and quests) completed in a month and a half
I can't get my sub weapon to tuvala because I don't have enough beginner black stones and yes I have finished valencia quest line. Main quests don't give them anymore so am stuck with a naru sub is there any other way to get these stones or a tuvala sub??
I would just buy it if the price are low. It's really hard to buy a tri BS because everyone wants to tap to tet and sell for profit. If you want to make your own BS from questline and upgrade it all the way then by all means
You're not going to be with such bad gear while having completed all your logs it's such a titled view on the progression. At that point most will still be in the 275+ bracket with maybe 3-4 additional ap close to the 281 mark if not just there.
Hey guys, i was thinking of selling my pen blackstar (cuz it's like 20-30 bil more expensive than it was before) and buying a tet blackstar, 2 tet black distos, and pen kutumn to have similar ap as i did with pen blackstar. And i will have alot leftover to buy duo FGA and something else. Doing this will raise my gear score and have the same ap as i did before but will lose some monster ap, is it worth it? Btw my gear rn is basically full tuvala with pen black star, pen jetina ring and base labreska. So i will gain alot of dp by doing this
Honestly, I would never sell a bis item. The smaller items are easier to farm. I sold Disto's multiple times and always re-farmed them fairly easy. It's a personal preference and mentality thing though
@@imPansy I see, maybe I'll keep it but I'll think about it more. I'm a casual player and I don't really like grinding that much so not having to worry about my 2 earrings, armor and potentially my gloves (at least for the next year or two) Is very appealing to me and I can just tap my tet blackstar with free j hammer and crons whenever I get them. But thank you for the advice
It gives you a single purpose path, which will be to grind silver to buy outfits for crons to click pen bs... Which you're going to need regardless. Just keep the blackstar, grind silver for the other items, it's faster because you're not losing to tax.
World bosses? They spawn at set times throughout the week and their icons are on the world map. You don't need to farm them though, Tuvala gear turns into boss gear after your first season. Then every season after you can convert 1 tuvala item from that season to boss gear.
what the point of buying tet blackstar in modern bdo? duo godr is better, and pens are too far away. tungrads only worth if they somehow push your bracket, say, from centaurs to syc or orcs, otherwise it's still distos. esp considering journals.... so much time for deve, but duo godr gets you 3 ap right away. overall that guide is like 10+ bil silver wasted even at midgame point
Tet blackstar costs over 12 bil. So how am i as a beginner going to afford that? Even with grinding it would take forever or am i wrong? Like wouldnt there be a step between aka zarka weapon and dande ?
you could arguably buy a pen kzarka for the temporary ap brackets and sell it later when you get closer to the blackstar but tbh the rate at which you get silver these days doing things like centaurs or even grinding your infinite hp potion piece at blood wolves it would maybe take you a week of grinding a couple hours a day + collecting login rewards and all the other passive income stuff the game offers you (dark rifts, whatever event is going at the time etc) to save up for a tet blackstar by the time you actually graduate its not unrealistic to have 6-10b saved up and be well on your way to a tet BS
Good we needed an update allot change the only thing red nose armor better less caphras like 3bil worth. The dim gives only 200hp. I been playing since beta i still do not have vell's heart , Garmoth's Heart and INFINITE hp and mp.I also have my own Gear Progression but i like to always take other players advice it make you better player. Good job on the guide the new players need it.
Yeah! Imps are a duo spot, biraghi is solo. Remember, the random spirits which spawn gives 10 min buff to 1 shot mobs. So if it feels slow without, you’ll want to factor that in. That buff also gives you a special Elvia skill to awakening
So I'm 62 and full pen tuvala on my season char with infinite hp pot. If I use the timepiece, do I instantly have to convert my 2nd season character and trade the tuvala to my main so I can keep progressing on my then converted main char? Otherwise there is no way to get the free tet boss gear exchanged for tuvala? So If I do this, I'm basicly done for this season? Is there any other benefits of season than the +xp and timed blackstones dropping? Will I still be able to complete all the ADV quests after conversion? It's honestly getting a bit boring on season with no more gear to shoot for. Thinking to just complete my leftover drieghan, mountain and O'dylitta main quests and then convert. Am I missing out on anything then?
when you use the time piece, your current season character will become a normal character and the other character you chose will become your new season character, you will be granted tuvala exchange coupons for your weapons for your new season character, the gear you can just transfer over. you will still be able to obtain boss gear when you graduate, you will get a full tet set of boss gear once from jetina, after u will only get 1 or 2 pieces, i do believe you can still ADV as a normal character
@@apurebot1568 Yeah I've graduated today now I've had enough silver to buy tet blackstar. Finished all quests, journals etc. and I got almost 20 AP bonus from graduate :D Looking forward to see the true mid game :)
There is million guides of how to gear from season to endgame, but literally zero of how to gear without season to end game, what if you want to make decent alt character without season gear with most efficient way
I love how people do vidéos on how yo get gear using garmoth. It looks that easy but the reality is différent. To get to endgame gear it will littetaly take you months if not years if you are casual in bdo. Its just not random numbers and gears you rearrange on a website like he or others do 🤣.
There's needs to be more endgame content that players can strive for instead of just endlessling grinding in circles, or doing pointless open world PVP for no rewards. Something like challenging solo bosses where u need 700+ GS to complete, and u get rewarded appropriately.
I totally disagree with the use of 2 distos in late game, the defence in very high end zones is very important and more if you play with dr and not with evasion, especially because the late game is looking for the deborecas, so it is better to use narc, and in the last part of the video that you put the 2 debos even so you keep the distos? the target is 2 tendrils deboreka, the distos are the most overrated and useless jewellery in the game.
Doing the Adventure logbook is impossible because NOBODY ever turns up to kill Quint and until you do you are fucked and stuck at vol 1 chap 6, until the devs open their eyes and wake the fk up.
@@troyrarehale2517you might have hit the wrong boss. pretty sure somone in reddit mention they have been doing wrong boss which spawns nearby and thus unable to clear the reward
I don't see any disclaimer or note in the description, so I'll just call it. Green dahn is evasion and blue dahn is accu, so if you're going for DR the build is blue dahn + uru and muskan + green dahn for eva.
Yeah, you create a season char and go as the video. He has some questionable choices but it's mostly alright. There's also nothing to lose by creating a season character so there's no reason not to do it

Korean MMO's do their utmost best to make their ingame systems as bloated and inconvenient as possible with a million items that do the same thing.
That's not really my focus in terms of content. You should check Evildousharm, Quendya or Chrispoli. They're usually much more detailed in that regards.
do i just tap tuvala until its pen or do i use failstacks etc?
Use fail stacks
i am at that late game 2 part right now and it gets realy slow at this point
Whats the diff of season char than normal?
How do I get so for armor
I was hoping this was the video to show me how to even get tuvala gear. Idek why people will tell you what’s meta but not tell you how to get it when it’s not obvious
Basically you grind out Tuvala ore and timefilled black stones on a seasonal server. You exchange the Tuvala ore with a blacksmith in any major town for gear. Enhance it with time filled black stones. There’re lots of ways to get the mats. I suggest exploring around a seasonal server first before looking into gear progression and referring to a seasonal server guide. It can get pretty overwhelming as a new player but take it step by step
Can you still do the jetina daily when the season finished? Ive just started with the season and im unable to do 45 days dailies
Oh yeah man that's not linked with the season or anything. You can do Jetina anytime. I just recommend you get it out of the way as soon as possible
Is there a video for if your character wasn't in seasonal and didnt go through the process shown here?
Usually the play is just making a seasonal character. If you didn’t have anything then probably do main story for quest gear. Then chip your way to full tet boss gear and start off from the post-season section. Tet boss gear = pen Tuvala gear
@@imPansy Dam. The few characters that i have so far are in late 50s early 60s. So should i delete them even at that lvl still or keep'em?
interesting take on progression, defo is more reared towards new players, and to those that maybe dont grind consistently and in high volume, but i do wonder how with the same defensive gear, but pen bs awa and mh i have 2 less dp :S
irrelevant to this video but does the buff from balenos meals affect wagon speed?
No mounts and wagons have their own speed stat affected by their gear
I'm curious if godyr is actually worth it. BS just seem way easier to hit. Especially for TET. Lower stack required and easy to get to tri for those attempts. May just be my carrier behind showing though 😂 different story if purchased outright though, but I prefer enhancing my own gear.
Godyr pen is the same as bs pen its literally a filler between tet bs and pen bs, so duo-tri godyr is better than tet bs by small margin its so u can keep progressing slowly instead of being hard stuck waiting on pen bs
Arent Jetina PEN gear upgraades arent not worth anymore after memory fragment price change?
Compare the prices based on your regions market for boss armor and decide.
@@imPansy i will, thanks man!
Seems this conversation is not really getting any of us anywhere :)
nah ur just doing something very wrong
yea i mean ive played on and off since release, if you gather enough information from how to build stacks and set yourself up for a session of repeated attempts i can't fathom that its just an rng issue.
Why Blackstar over Kzarka immediately ?
Tuvala weapon is equal to kzarka. Blackstar has more monster AP than kzarkas.
Honestly I should update it to be Godr-ayed. Those are cheaper than blackstar IV. Everytime they give out free J hammers, IV Blackstar blasts up in price.
Anyway, Blackstar/Godr-Ayed are better than kzarka for pve. We used to caphra our kzarka but that's really not necessary anymore with the introduction of Godr-ayed weapons.
Wish it was easy for all. I made 4 200fs just by tapping Godr to duo. Im somewhat happy but god damn!
Investing in the future!
I played and paid quite a bit on PS5... i wanna switch to PC. Is there no cross save function?
I dont wanna switch if i have to start over... i did sooooo much discovery. Oh and the 400+ contribution points, and all the cooking, gathering and fishing holyshit no thank you i will not start over 😂
Unfortunately no, you'd have to start over. It goes so much quicker the second time around though
@@imPansy nah i can barely scrape up 6-8 hours per week for gaming so i'll just continue on console
Update, so i switched, my account in pc is more progressed than ps5... 325 CP 320 Max energy 600 GS and all AP sheets (journals and quests) completed in a month and a half
What calpheon elvia spot am I supposed to do with pen tuvala?
Calpheon elvia needs about 270/330 to get started. Serendia elvia has spots for you with full pen Tuvala though
Haven’t seen you stream in a minute bro how you been
Im good dude. Yeah not too happy with Twitch. I'll be back tonight/tomorrow
I can't get my sub weapon to tuvala because I don't have enough beginner black stones and yes I have finished valencia quest line. Main quests don't give them anymore so am stuck with a naru sub is there any other way to get these stones or a tuvala sub??
You could just trade tuvala ore for an offhand and enhance it up with time-filled blackstones
should i tet my own bs? of should i buy? or should i get the god-ayed instead?
I would just buy it if the price are low. It's really hard to buy a tri BS because everyone wants to tap to tet and sell for profit. If you want to make your own BS from questline and upgrade it all the way then by all means
You're not going to be with such bad gear while having completed all your logs it's such a titled view on the progression.
At that point most will still be in the 275+ bracket with maybe 3-4 additional ap close to the 281 mark if not just there.
I know you play pc but I'd love if you would make a video like this for us console players alot of people are lost with gear progression
I'll leave that for the console content creators :P I dont keep track of what items console doesnt have yet
@@imPansy unfortunate because console players are lazy fr nothing like this video with actual useful information
This is so confusing where do I farm bosses
U can grind centaurs or kratuga for good money in full pen seasonal gear, should be able to get 12bil in a couple days
if you grind at least 1-2h perday on kratuga or centaur you will get there. probly 1 or 2 week
you could arguably buy a pen kzarka for the temporary ap brackets and sell it later when you get closer to the blackstar but tbh the rate at which you get silver these days doing things like centaurs or even grinding your infinite hp potion piece at blood wolves it would maybe take you a week of grinding a couple hours a day + collecting login rewards and all the other passive income stuff the game offers you (dark rifts, whatever event is going at the time etc) to save up for a tet blackstar
by the time you actually graduate its not unrealistic to have 6-10b saved up and be well on your way to a tet BS
Alright thank you guys a lot.
Just save up dude, you'll get there. Kratuga and Centaurs are great spots to grind on season for cash.
garmoth llink?
In description
Helped a lot! How do I get 40 bill tho? LOL
im 730 and dont know what do i expected to hear at the end....probably not this but yeah thanks
😅 will come up with better advice once I’m there myself
Good we needed an update allot change the only thing red nose armor better less caphras like 3bil worth. The dim gives only 200hp. I been playing since beta i still do not have vell's heart , Garmoth's Heart and INFINITE hp and mp.I also have my own Gear Progression but i like to always take other players advice it make you better player. Good job on the guide the new players need it.
Saying that you can grind "easily" in the easier Elvia spots with 243 AP 304 DP Tuvala is VERY optimistic, almost misleading . 😶
No it’s not. Biraghi den and alter imps are cheese with full pen Tuvala 😂
@@imPansy really? There I go then, to send those imps back to hell 😎💪
Yeah! Imps are a duo spot, biraghi is solo. Remember, the random spirits which spawn gives 10 min buff to 1 shot mobs. So if it feels slow without, you’ll want to factor that in. That buff also gives you a special Elvia skill to awakening
I am on console near endgame 😂💪🏼 only miss v acc earring
Am I missing out on anything then?
when you use the time piece, your current season character will become a normal character and the other character you chose will become your new season character, you will be granted tuvala exchange coupons for your weapons for your new season character, the gear you can just transfer over. you will still be able to obtain boss gear when you graduate, you will get a full tet set of boss gear once from jetina, after u will only get 1 or 2 pieces, i do believe you can still ADV as a normal character
there’s really no benefit staying besides better money better xp and “safe” grinding. And make sure you do your adventure log, it will help alot
could just grind extra money on season and buy gear for normal character
@@apurebot1568 Yeah I've graduated today now I've had enough silver to buy tet blackstar. Finished all quests, journals etc. and I got almost 20 AP bonus from graduate :D
Looking forward to see the true mid game :)
@@Imicicle nice work, console graduation isn’t out yet so we’re still waiting
There is million guides of how to gear from season to endgame, but literally zero of how to gear without season to end game, what if you want to make decent alt character without season gear with most efficient way
Do quests get quest gear, grind money, buy tri or tet boss gear
REMEMBER! this will gonna cost you at least 6 months of your life by just the midgame
I love how people do vidéos on how yo get gear using garmoth. It looks that easy but the reality is différent. To get to endgame gear it will littetaly take you months if not years if you are casual in bdo. Its just not random numbers and gears you rearrange on a website like he or others do 🤣.
Obviously.
Kkkk queria que fosse fácil assim só ir trocando os equip, mais o negócio e tenso de mais no jogo
Im subbed Pansy... Now 1v1 on striker so i can learn to pvp :D
Bruh I can’t pvp on anything but succ mystic 😅
There's needs to be more endgame content that players can strive for instead of just endlessling grinding in circles, or doing pointless open world PVP for no rewards. Something like challenging solo bosses where u need 700+ GS to complete, and u get rewarded appropriately.
Well we do have challenging bosses but it's normalized gear kind of. Have you tried a calamity level 7 boss blitz? 😅
6b is nothing he says as i struggle to make a 500-700m a day haaha
skill diff. Kratuga is easy 1b/hr with lvl 2 LS+agris
i hit sub bcuz u said so please guide me more >:)
You don’t need to kill him, just be there from the beginning till end of the fight and it’ll complete
You don't need to kill him, you just need to wait till he despawns and it will count
AS the others said, Quint doesn't need to die. Just hit him a few times and wait for him to despawn and you get credit
@@imPansy Then why didnt i get credit.
@@troyrarehale2517you might have hit the wrong boss. pretty sure somone in reddit mention they have been doing wrong boss which spawns nearby and thus unable to clear the reward
Yeah but no sniper hunting guide
I don't see any disclaimer or note in the description, so I'll just call it. Green dahn is evasion and blue dahn is accu, so if you're going for DR the build is blue dahn + uru and muskan + green dahn for eva.
In the pinned message
Is there a video for if your character wasn't in seasonal and didnt go through the process shown here?
Yeah, you create a season char and go as the video. He has some questionable choices but it's mostly alright. There's also nothing to lose by creating a season character so there's no reason not to do it
