I have sold my collection of nissan s-chassis and bought my first e46 and I must say the Nissans are a far better built car. The way bmw designed a lot of things is just stupid. Subframe is very similar in design between the cars and 240sx don’t crack. But the e46 convertible vs the s13 convertible, the bmw is far superior. The way bmw did the whole convertible setup is amazing. Very little glue basically bolts together. I’m definitely loving my e46. It’s very different compared to Japanese cars. I’m going to tackle chassis reinforcement before I’m forced to go ford 8.8 (diffs is another part Nissan did better) and Lsx/t56.. definitely can’t wait to see how the Lsx is in the e46 compared to my s13!!
