I'm trying to find the free template for the Christmas Lantern oil over acrylic from your full lesson but I can't find it on the bottom of the MazArt Academy page but it's not there. How can I find this?
I love this. I've painted along with a couple other of your tutorials and will try a few more. I haven't painted with oils in over 40 years. Thank you.
I hope you & your family had a blessed Thanksgiving, and have a wonderful Christmas season, too!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work, and how you make your paintings come together.
Absolutely wonderful! I have just begun my go at painting and I found your TH-cam videos. I have learned so much from your tutorials. Thank you for sharing your gift with us ❤️
I painted this and it turned out pretty, thanks to you. My question is: What is the advantage of doing your underpainting in acrylic? I did mine all in oil.
I love my oils but occasionally I speed things up with an acrylic underpainting it simply means once I’ve used the hairdryer I can begin the glazing layers in the same day.
Very lovely Marion (including the smiles at your cute naming 'oopsies" - I used to call fir cones 'acorns ' too when I was little, it's a hard habit to break). Can't wait to give it a try - seems like it might be a good first step from acrylics to oils.
I LOVE this one. Thank you for another spectacular Christmas painting. Every time I see my favorite, you do another favorite. Going to be a tough one. Just going to call them all my favorite and pick one to try. Although I have been painting a long time, I am a globby painter. I need you to inspire me to be patient. LOL Just Blend, Becca!!!!Thank you, so much.
MazArtStudio I've always enjoyed your lessons...your the best out There on TH-cam besides Kevin hill..would you consider posting just landscapes on TH-cam instead of downloads...I think you'd increase your subs and thus make money from TH-cam...only landscapes or something like this...please consider...theartsherpa is now over 450 thousand subs and rising...I've suggested to her way back this and well maybe you'd hit this as well. God bless
Aww that’s lovely. I’ve gifted mine to a dear friend and she said the same. That makes me really pleased. Glad you can enjoy yours each year. Merry Christmas 🎅
Really like the added glitter effects there at the end...nice touch.....and the illusion of those Ornaments in the background....nicely done....have often thought about painting with both Acrylic and Oil, but this is the first I've seen of this...you have given me a new avenue to pursue....
I’ve run out of adjectives for you, Rock Star! Awesome doesn’t begin to describe how fabulous I think you are! I’ll definitely give this a go. I talked about it on my channel last week. Happy holidays, Lass. Thank you for all the good memories you’ve gifted me through art, ❤️
I absolutely love this painting Marion🌞 You are a very gifted artist🌞 I would love to get the template so I can try my hand at painting this lovely painting....I tried to get it from the website but it wasn't there🙏😊
Beautiful. I haven't painted for 40 years. Then it was only oils. I am so intrigued by your methods of using acrylic to draw and fill background and use oil over it. I am retired and live with two cats in a small townhouse in Arizona. Not using turpentine will certainly make my air tolerable. May I ask the size of this painting. Is it 16x20? I watched your other 2 videos - silent night and how to paint snow. I have finally decided that this is the one for my first attempt at wet on wet. The new year will find me signing up for classes. Thank you so much
Hi Carol. I hope you have a go this one is a lot of fun. Come and share on the MazArt tribe on Facebook (apply to join all free just agree to group rules). I love seeing everyone’s version. Wishing you a merry Christmas.
I am new to your channel. Ben Stivers recommended you! This is just a wonderful painting! Working with both mediums is so fun, and the results are almost always really great! I don't do a lot of acrylic, but I am working at learning more. You are a wonderful teacher! Thank you for sharing!
I love your painting they are beautiful I paint with acrylic and I also use glitter as way I learn something with oil painting as well thank you I have watching all your videos again thank you just love your amazing work
Very exciting to see a technique (new to me) of using acrylic first and then oils. I am glad i found your channel. We might have a try of creating the lantern using the technique. p.s when you mention brush over with a medium, what medium was it you used? There are so many mediums I wouldn't have a clue. Many Thanks again for the video.
Wow this is just so beautiful I love your choice of pictures to paint and I love you videos they are so easy to follow. Merry Christmas to you and your family
I've painted with you and your tutorials for the candle paintings. Love them. Will you be doing any more that will be available? I've also done your winter scenes. Great by the way, and to get me back into oils. Thank you.
I’ve got a gorgeous Christmas shopping scene available but that’s a paid for lesson. Check out my online school there’s quite a selection. mazartstudio.com/school
I used an oil medium called Zest-it Clear. However, you could use linseed oil, liquin, walnut oil whatever your preference as they all do the same job (use sparingly). The PDF that comes with the template lists all the material I use. Glad you enjoyed it :-) Happy New Year
Oh Marion, thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial Christmas present! It's gorgeous and it would make a fabulous painting to display every Christmas. You are a lovely, gorgeous and generous lady, thank you. Happy Christmas to you and your family too. Much love & hugs xxxxxxx
This is beautiful. Do you think it's possible to do this all in acrylic? Also, i wonder if it would be ok to use your W&N recipe for blending acrylic over the background? Thanks for sharing this for free.
You can find everything you need in my online school Add the lesson to your cart and check out (it’s free no payment details needed ). Then go to your account and the pdf will be there along with the pattern. mazartstudio.com/school
That is so beautiful! Like all the paintings you do. Thanks so much for sharing this. I will do it all in acrylic. But...I do have Bob Ross oils. So I may change my mind. :D Big ART Hugs.
This is so beautiful and I am excited to paint from your youtube tutorial. I have tried unsuccessfully to find the template for the lantern. I have followed your instructions given previously but the little boxes under my account do not show up. Would you be able to guide me to the template? Thank you so very much! Ann
Oh my goodness I have it now!!!!! I had an account but did not realize I needed to put the FREE tutorial in my cart and check out! It works just fine when I figured out what was needed! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
This is gorgeous and I love that you added glitter😍! Question, if I used my acrylic brushes for oils is there a way to clean them so I can use them again for acrylics? I cant afford oil brushes just yet lol. Thank you much Marion 🤗👍
I use the same brushes for both jobs, as long as they are cleaned in between you will be ok. It is nice to have separate ones but not always possible ;-)
I may try to adapt this with acrylics. I managed to do that once a long time ago with your blue vase & flowers & it is beautiful. Thank you so much & Happy Thanksgiving. ♡
Another question. I printed off the template but it’s a regular letter size. Looks small for the 16x20 frame. Your print out looks bigger. Do I need a bigger tracer ?
It’s a long while since I did this one. I always say to my students use the size of brush you are most comfortable with so if you are working on a larger canvas use larger brushes and smaller ones if your canvas is smaller. Hope this helps.
@@sabrinapedronart3235 no, when I paint pets or portraits I use oil all the way through. Sometimes with flowers I mix it up, and do either all oils, all acrylics or sometimes a bit of both like with this one. The fun thing about art is that you can do all sorts :-)
