Drawing skills are key to making a painting. I wouldn 't go taking thought of drawing as some form of generic art. Paintings are more of objects and scenes being mimicked. Drawing them is far more detailed and life like in most cases. Except for the abscense of color. Both are amazing and find harmony together.

i have a brush similar to this one but i cannot draw trees because when i put the brush in the gouache the hair of this brush became far from each others like spikes for this i cannot draw trees the name of my brush is windsor number 6 what is the name of this brush that you use so i can buy a one like it?
There are two different types of fan brushes? Boar bristle and synthetic I've learned, are those boar bristle fan brushes? Which are stiffer than synthetic. Thank you for sharing! I just wish artist would specify this when demonstrating painting technics : )

I have major problem with my fan brush :( hairs stick together wen dipped in color making it impossible to get the effect needed. Wen painting brush fills the color instead of geting such effect as u (wow art) please help me :(

The only problem I see here is that deciduous trees lose their leaves in the winter! That willow and birch tree should have no leaves at all, pretty effect but very unrealistic.

I'd really love to see a better close up of the brush strokes on these trees. It's hard to see. But it's beautiful work though.
