Sure! As long as you use the capo.

To learn hitting only two or three strings, I practice muting with my idle fingers. The most difficult was my thumb reach around, technically not a finger. Guitar burps still plague me, the struggle is real. I can get the top two with my thumb easily and the D string doesn't really matter, right? Isn't D note in every scale?
