Its the fact that significant characters who were important to the story were missing. For example, Rem. Rem is Misas Shinigami and he literally kills Watari and L in the manga and anime. L’s death was a major part of the anime since L was Lights biggest threat, and they just completely butchered it. Also, how in the world can there be black asians? It just makes me so mad. And don’t call me racist because I don’t like how L is black in the movie, I’m disappointed at the movie as a whole. Light should have been Japanese, L should have been Japanese, they should’ve kept Rem, It’s just awful. Also, I used Rem as an example because as I said, L’s death was a MAJOR part in the anime, and for them to remove Rem from the whole movie is awful. I was so excited when I saw that there was a movie, but after seeing all of this stuff I’m definitely not watching it.

L was so different in the movie, the most emotional person ever. L is NOTHING like that in the anime.
Pewdiepie explaining Death Note is so relaxing. I just finished it and feel weird. The video made me feel a little less weird. Death Note will always be one of my favorite animes, and I will never regret watching it.

Death note is a literal masterpiece clearly teaching the viewer how two different intelligent individuals are trying to achieve justice for greater good, both having generally good intentions based on their own specific circumstances (until shit goes dark with Light causing L to take interest to the whole case) but with different methods of implementation of justice with the whole story depicting beautiful biblical themes to it, clearly proving how death note alone should have it's own branch or chapter in the subject of philosophy itself...
Is ruined by a pathetic angsty American teenager trying to get laid. I don't even feel sorry for the movie creators or actors anymore getting all that hate at this point. Should've researched the franchise and how crazy the death note fans are for it before signing up for that fuck up of a movie.

First they wounded me with light who I wanted to win ever since the beginning, then they rubbed salt over it by Showing Misa in the end who's 90% confirmed to jump from there..

Jena people love to ignore the last arc because near pulls mikami out of nowhere, but they don’t realise the light did the same, it’s actually a pretty well written arc and the downfall of light is pinned on him having to split his power between multiple people to deal with multiple L’s, the first 25 episodes are better, but people don’t quite realise how beautiful the ending can be in the right light

To be fair most people assume this cause his relationship with L has always been pretty complex. I personally think it's more that he has a person he relates to and deep down he finds their chess game enjoyable. (Heck they even implied he misses him to an extent when he sees his "ghost" everywhere and in the last episode where Near wears a mask of L he seems genuinely insulted, stating that Near was nothing compared to L and had "no right" to even *attempt* to emulate him.) However do I think it's romantic in nature? Most likely not.
