The 12-year-old boy volunteered to help his younger sister with her math homework after seeing his mother become frustrated with the girl. Although he was gentle with her at first, the boy ended up having a tearful meltdown after his stubborn sister refused to follow his instructions.

Enough said. I'm a tutor, my class is full of weak students. Case like this, you have to go back to basic addition, weeks and weeks of addition practice, before reintroducing angles, then shapes, then how to use protector, well before learning about triangles & its properties.

School board keeps on one up syllabus update that they don't understand that young children's capability to learn is not through rigorous hours of studying but to play and relate.

With social media you can learn far faster I mean I took algebra 2 in 9th grade through websites like khan academy, and there are many kids who are still smarter than I am but then you look at others and they are completely left behind because of the pressure of competition and the addiction to social media.

Talking like that, and you'll just discourage siblings to simply help each other, and the best way to help someone is to teach them what you know.

I've had very stubborn students who not only have a hard time understanding things, but also DON'T want to understand. They don't make an effort to try and learn something, they're uninterested and unbothered. They will argue, refuse to learn, miss classes, fail exams and STILL won't listen or learn. Some even fight the teachers. No matter how patient I have to be with my students, I'm still just human. You can't tell me not to feel a little bit frustrated sometimes.
I would also like you to teach a class of teenagers for a few months and come and tell me how it went 😂

What I heard was, “你这老师不行啊”. To me, the closest meaning is “you’re not a good teacher”. So the subtitle is correct. Then again, the same sentence could mean “it’s hard to be a teacher”, for mandarin speakers in other regions though I think most would go with the former translation.

When I saw my online maths tutor getting frustrated I pretended to disconnect and then never came to his lessons again. It's humiliating and upsetting for the student too. This year I got a patient and very helpful teacher and now I might actually pass maths. Gotta wait and see.

My son is excellent in math while my daughter is struggling. They're both doing well at school. My son is top student and my daughter is in top 10. He teaches her sometimes. Very gentle and patient son. I can't teach them math 😪 I had A's only at university coz it's basic math as minor study and my professor was amazing. He turned dumb kid to somewhat OK such as me 😂

So that’s how my math teachers feel when they had to deal with me.
As a math teacher this speaks to me in so many ways. After the fifth time explaining something that we’ve been doing for a week mentally breaks you sometimes. Nothing hurts more than a student making the same mistake on the 4th practice problem after you took the time to explain it to them 1 on 1. It’s understandable but really frustrating.

Dude teaching is so hard, i tried to teach my cousin elementary maths and it was so frustrating to see him make same mistake again and again. After that i understood i may be good at studying but teaching is out of my league probably cause I'm a fast learner and expect other to be too.
