Always enjoy Sanjay R conversations. This one did not disappoint too. If someone can convey Sanjay’s well being it will be truly appreciated ( worried for him after the Newsclick raids etc). Thanks.
It was really a great conversation, I shared it to my friends and my parents too. I would like to have my favourite playlist to be played during my funeral.😅
5:40 what Sanjay wants to say it's overview effect. It's widely known and experienced by astronauts and now it's getting more into light about how the seeing mountain and the universe big more than us and looking ourselves as small make a psychological effects which is overview effect to be technical if not want to fall into spritual things because it's not like that it's always related to psychological part.
Just for definition. The overview effect is a cognitive shift reported by some astronauts while viewing the Earth from space. Researchers have characterized the effect as "a state of awe with self-transcendent qualities, precipitated by a particularly striking visual stimulus".The most prominent common aspects of personally experiencing the Earth from space are appreciation and perception of beauty, unexpected and even overwhelming emotion, and an increased sense of connection to other people and the Earth as a whole. The effect can cause changes in the observer’s self concept and value system, and can be transformative.
Thanks a bunch for sharing this beautiful concept. For those us , the less fortunate mortals, who can't go to space... we can still use our imagination and ever increasing imagery to relish the awe of being so tiny in this universe.

to mr rajoura who i have loved as a comedian since 10 years ( i am 33 now)..i request you to please make a podcast on the hard problem of consciousness.since everytime you talk about boundary condition topics like religion and death, you never address this particular question..please please address it..also do read about thomas nagel's famous paper ( what is it like to be a bat) and david chalmer's take on it..
@@TheFourthDimensionChannel its ok sir, Even if you had given it, he would have missed it, he has a record of missing good things.Even then if it is ok, then give a try, I have sent an email.
Buddhist teaching views life and death as a continuum, believing that consciousness (the spirit) continues after death and may be reborn. Death can be an opportunity for liberation from the cycle of life, death and rebirth.
Every self will taste death. You will be paid your wages in full on the Day of Rising. Anyone who is distanced from the Fire and admitted to the Garden, has triumphed. And He is the Almighty, All-Forgiving.(Quran, 67:2) Every soul will taste death. And We test you ˹O humanity˺ with good and evil as a trial, then to Us you will ˹all˺ be returned.(Quran, 21:35)
Buddha ne ye philosophy 2600 saal pahle dunia ko di ki marne ke baad koi aatma, hell, heaven nhi hai, jo hai yahi zindagi hai... That's a claim, not reality. Just a way to deal with our fear of death
