    The instance of vedanindā in the Manusmriti is verse (2.11) and not Chapter 10. I made a mistake as it gets hard to remember the exact verses as I mix up the verses sometimes. This one says:
    (Translated by George Bühler): Every twice-born man, who, relying on the Institutes of dialectics, treats with contempt those two sources (of the law), must be cast out by the virtuous, as an atheist and a scorner of the Veda.
    (Translated by Patrick Olivelle): If a twice-born disparages these two* by relying on the science of logic, he ought to be ostracized by good people as an infidel and a denigrator of the Veda.

      doesn't that mean your own Dharma teaches you to respect other religions? doesn't that mean your own Vedas have taught you to respect Muslims and see human as human instead of caste, creed or religion?
      isn't this the very definition of secularism which is deeply rooted in your own "dharma"? so why do we keep on fighting based on all this? why not live and let live peacefully?

God is a proxy agent of your fate to explain what consequences are. In fact, even our gods have faced consequences for their actions. There are no good or bad events. Just fate and consequences. In Hinduism, various scriptures discuss the concept of belief and the consequences of non-belief. Here are some verses that address non-belief in God:
      1. **Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 9, Verse 3)**:
      - "अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परन्तप |
      अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि ||"
      - Translation: "Those who are without faith in this teaching, O Parantapa, do not attain Me and follow the path of death and rebirth."
      2. **Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 16, Verses 8-9)**:
      - "असत्यमप्रतिष्ठं ते जगदाहुरनीश्वरम् |
      अपरस्परसम्भूतं किमन्यत्कामहैतुकम् ||8||
      एतां दृष्टिमवष्टभ्य नष्टात्मानोऽल्पबुद्धयः |
      प्रभवन्त्युग्रकर्माणः क्षयाय जगतोऽहिताः ||9||"
      - Translation: "They say that the world is unreal, without a basis, without a God, and is produced from mutual union, with no other cause than lust. Holding such a view, these lost souls of small intellects engage in terrible actions that are meant for the destruction of the world."
      3. **Manu Smriti (Chapter 4, Verse 163)**:
      - "नास्तिको वेदनिन्दकः |
      वेदबाह्यंस्तु नास्तिकांश्च धर्माद्विहाय निर्दिशेत् ||"
      - Translation: "An atheist, a blasphemer of the Vedas, is to be regarded as outside the Vedic fold and to be avoided."
      These verses reflect the traditional Hindu view that faith in God and the scriptures is fundamental to spiritual progress and righteousness. They suggest that those who do not believe may face various spiritual and moral consequences.

    I’ve been listening to Osho for a long time now. He covered I guess every upnishad, vedas and had a deep understanding of dharma, afterall he was an enlightened person. Kushal’s talks are very much in alignment with what enlightenment people have said. He’s definitely on a journey of self discovery and wanted to emphasize the importance of Nastik. While a nastik can become aastik one day, can’t be true for an atheist unfortunately. Enlightened people always emphasized that for truth seekers it is important to drop all believes and start from zero and seek GOD. This is what a nastik is. Not attached to any beliefs. Will seek truth according to his nature. Swa Tasmin! You’re what you’re seeking
