- They say island life can be a bit different but with ancient clans and body parts all over the island im not sure id fancy a friday night out here, good job im just car camping my way through

Today, Holy Island is home to a community of Buddhist monks in the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Apparently a vision of the Virgin Mary persuaded the previous owner to sell it to Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, who is one of the monks. There is a retreat centre, a monastery and an interfaith 'Peace Hall. Did not know this & I live in Scotland.. interesting 🧐 x

What a great explore with those stunning beaches along that beautiful coastline you can see why people want to live the peaceful life up there. That was a great waterfall what a view.

oh wow lyme disease oh good lord, bless you .. the food, yeh a few days over im normally good but some of these aldi/idla premeal things never smell good once their out of date, the meat seems to start ooozing the adding waters

Have a look at silky saws, better than an axe for fire wood, a little expensive but it will serve you for years!!

You could have stay at Lochranza camping por one night is very good price lovely place you can charge the battery and have a nice shower
ill have to bear it in mind wasnt aware of it on this trip, great area though lochranza, wish id had time to check the castle

You should buy an 300w inverter, 12v to 240v..only about $150 AUD. It would sort your charging issue out.

Just googled it and that lighthouse on holy island is the closed Buddhist retreat at 5.37 .Island looks an interesting place to visit
oh wow, it was that then cool, a converted lighthouse to temple, got to be a first that lol, would have loved to have visited to be honest, might have mentioned it, you can go on the island just not visit the temples
6.33 perfect stealth camp in the summer. also I would be seaching the beach rocks for mussles. garlic butter with wine with garlic bread on the beach over a small fire. 10 mins and great dinner
yeh a good spot for it, so many great wild camping spots on this trip honestly everywhere just a bit out of season for it 😉 .... wish id thought about the foraging ...

It's sad that the Only petrol station on the island is by the Brodick ferry terminal, when you get back to the mainland go to asda fuel station in ardrossan, So much cheaper. I'm a regular to Arran and love your videos.

It’s not the only petrol station there’s a little one in lamlash, park terrace, little man appears and pumps it for you, from what I remember looks like a builders yard when driving past it lol, but was cheaper than the ferry one.
There are 4 fuel stations on Arran....
Your power bank will have a 12V lead to plug into the car 12V output. It charges our Bluetti at about 70W + on the road.
yeh its what i do but 6 hours to fully recharge is difficult when my driving time is only aroun 2 hours that day, that gives me 30-40% barely enough for an evening

We prioritise what needs power: phones, filming equipment etc come first. If necessary we disconnect the compressor fridge as it stays pretty cool as it’s well insulated and gets a boost of cold when we’re driving.
It’s now the time of year that our diesel heater is needed and that is definitely a priority!
We’ve bought a a Renology 100w solar panel but not used it on the road yet. But at home in sunlight it charges at up to 80w. Obviously not as good at times. Our plan it to only put it on the roof on park ups and store it in the van when we’re on the move as then we’ll use the car 12v.
As our ‘van’ is a Berlingo car we want to just put it on the roof when parked. I’m going to fix it on with magnets to make it easy to put on and off. It’s a winter ‘project’ between weekend trips…
yeh deffo the time of year for a heater, good ive got the heat tube but wish id installed a diesal, actually hoping to put one in the kia picanto and solar but i think ur right the way to go is to have some power coming in all the time to recharge the units, i had considered hooking the power unit up to the alternator it would charge alot more quicker that way, maybe 2 hours instead of 6

Big fan of the channel mate. One thing I would recommend to improve views is to use better titles (and overlay titles too for people to quickly see what they’re about). This title for example will mean very little to the YT algos.
