I was worried about replacing my high-end older oasis with this one th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCgPI5O2AtmcHq9SJhgsCGbpAzJAJfrJp but it is surprisingly light and the screen resolution is just as good. I never had the warm light on my old kindle, but i do not use it on the ipad so I will probably not need it. I think the only thing I'll miss is the self-adjusting light, but this is so worth it!
I got my Amazon fire hd 10 as a Christmas gift in 2021. I really like it but I'm glad I saw your video. I learned some things I didn't know. Thanks 😊
I just received the KF10 as a gift - first tablet ever, so I found your video extremely instructional. TBH, I heard the smoke detector everyone is talking about but was so concentrated on your instructions, I didn't hear it after the first "cheep!" You speak at an excellent pace, you don't block the tablet with your hand or body as you're demonstrating and your voice is easy to listen to and the demonstrations from one 'trick' to another is smooth and easy to follow. Thank you for taking time out of your day to teach me. I appreciate it all.
You can power up your kindle but not the fire alarm

It's hard to take tech advice from someone that can't change a battery..
I had my phone in my pocket while listening to this and I started checking the batteries in the fire alarms. Change your batteries man lol. Aside from that good video very informative.

I have a feeling there is stuff my Fire does that I don't know about. I have had them since the first one and have always wondered why there are no directions.
This is still helpful five years later. I love the Fire keyboards that allow me to write in French or German without changing the entire keyboard. I wish I could say I discovered this because I'm super smart, but I think I just bumped into a u when I'd been spelling Württenberg all day :0)
The 2021 version has split screen. I found it on accident and can't get back.

Hi Wayne, I opine all the following: I love your videos esp as they are helping me decide whether to buy the Kindle Fire, but I wonder what that squeak sound is that permeates your excellent commentary? It does keep me alert, yet also distracts. I realise others have speculated of its cause. Anyway, regardless of it, thanks so much for sharing your knowledge, regards, Joe.
I actually paused the video.. walked out to my kitchen and stared at my smoke detector for several minutes thinking it was mine. Then I opened a second tab, ordered some 9v batteries from Amazon, THEN decided to scroll the comments.... and lo and behold. You should consider having Duracell throw some ad revenue your way for this.
I think people who can live with a fire alarm beeping like that are actually a little bit insane. There’s something not quite right with them somehow.

Great tutorial thanks on a side note I find it incredibly frustrating that with technology today and the amount of money we spend on purchasing devices that we have to spend so much time searching for tutorials instead of the company simply creating tutorials that let us know everything that our devices do I think it's b*******

Your short cuts and features are AWESOME! I Just got my tablet last night early xmas gift. I am wondering if you know WHY I cannot pair my bluetooth earphones to the tablet. It is already connected to my phone and works great. Fire HD10 will not recognize them. Any suggestions?
I just received my Fire HD10 and it does not have most of the settings you show. No split screens, nothing under Keyboard & Language except Language, test-to-speech, current keyboard, show/hide keyboards. Are we sure we are talking about the same device?

Hello, I'm trying to find out about things you can connect to it.
Examples: External hard drives just like you would connect to a desktop or laptop.
I make large video files on an external H-D and play videos from that.

Stopped 1 minute in bc of smoke alarm. Take 5 mins to replace the battery and reshoot, it's not that hard.
I looked at the "multitask multiscreen" reviews and they're mostly one-star reviews!
Ive got the same kindle HD 36MB and nowhere have I a “FIRE KEYBOARD” in my settings!!

can you print any photos? my camera GUI looks different than yours. I have the HD10 (2021) and not only do i have limited editor functionality but i can't even print my photos. there is no "print" in the menu. I can only send them to amazon to "order prints"!!!!!

My new Kindle 10 (2017 version) does NOT have the option to split the keyboard. I did update the kindle but no option to split the keyboard.

I just got mine yesterday, and there is an option to split the keyboard. It looks just a little bit different from 2015 version.
Hopefully, you changed the battery in your smoke detector before recording a new video.
I know this is an older video but I just purchased the Fire HD 10 and I have no mic on my keyboard, what do I install to have the mic on my keyboard for dictation.

Charles R. Murray hey man took some researching but I finally figured it out. This was bothering the hell out of me not being able to talk to text. So you have to have the google play store on your fire hd ( there are videos on TH-cam showing how to easily download it just follow the directions) when you have the google play store download the google app just the regular google app first one in the search result for “google”.... then download the google keyboard from the google play store. Now to to your fire settings and change the keyboard to googles. And you will have the google settings for the keyboard which allows you to do the secondary keys as well as talk to text like he does in this video

Very informative video but it didn't cover what I was looking for. While reading a book there is an option somewhere that shows pages as icons. I can't find my way back there. Can you tell me how?
You have, hopefully, found out how to do this, but I believe you just bookmark that page... you can do that when searching the web, too.

I noticed you have a microphone icon on your keyboard. I have the fire he 10 with alexa. I can't find the microphone icon at all. Would you have a video on this issue?
Amazon puts that microphone icon on your keyboard as a warning that your smoke detector battery needs to be changed.
multiscreen multitasking doesn't work on fire 10 hd 9th gen do you have another app thats will work with same property's
