Man, I like the way this car looks. I don't care about everybody liking all these exotic cars just because it's in music. I like the way this car looks.
I own a 2011 CTS-V sedan and love every minute of it. I have a cold air intake a Corsa exhaust. Other than that it's stock. I can't see ever getting rid of this car. It's so much fun. I am looking forward to getting a C8 Z06 Corvette, but I will keep my sedan!
Just got one two months ago had a Zr1 before it and a Z06 before the Zr1.I added a tune air raid intake and a 2.55 upper pulley its a lot of fun to drive.Mine is automatic.Handles well for a big car.
I have a Thunder Grey 13 V Coupe with 6 in the floor. Though I have opted to swap in some performance parts and a tune, it is by far the favorite car I have owned. I am outside Raleigh NC if you ever get up this way.
The CTS-V is an amazing car, handles, conferrable, and it GOES! jay Lenno driver his CTS-V the most. He has a million dollar P1 and classic exotics, yet drives the 55K CTS-V the most. + that LSA 6.2L is just a cam and tune away from 650 horsepower.
You made one small mistake, this generation of the CTS was introduced in 2007 for the 2008 model year, I still love the design of this generation, (my Grandpa has a 2011 CTS4 coupe with the 3.6L) the 2015 sedan is gorgeous!!
The CTS-V Coupe is beautiful! Cadillac's art and science philosophy brings about some great cars. In my opinion, American cars have really taken leaps forward when it comes to performance and design in the past few years. Same goes for Hyundai and Kia (On a lesser scale).
This is a fantastic vehicle. It's powerful and yet, it can still be driven in a sedate manner. Also, I found that the easiest way to get into the rear is to set one of the memory seat postions to seat all the way forward. This is also great for putting bags or groceries into the rear, if you don't want to open the trunk each time.
It's the same thing as push button start, you just twist like a key instead of pushing a button. There is no actual key, it's keyless ignition. It also auto locks and auto unlocks based on fob proximity. I'm not sure what you mean about the trans, but you can get it with an auto or a manual.
Any reason why the CTS-V sounds a lot more aggressive in the Wagon video, than in this and the 2011 CTS-V video? Just something I noticed right from the beginning. In the Wagon video, is sounds so deliciously ferocious!
Been thinking of switching my 2010 Camaro SS for this. Wanted something more luxurious but didn't want to give up too much speed. I'm going to eventually test drive one. The main car I wanted was the newer Mercedes E 350. I know it's not in the same class when it comes to performance but I do like the interior much better than this(as far as what I see in the video). But instead of getting a new E Class I can get one of these much cheaper with much greater performance. Let me know what you guys think. Remember I do care a lil bit more about luxury than performance. If I got the CTS-V coupe I would get a used one with under 40K miles. If I got the mercedes I would get like a 2014-2015 no more than 10K miles.
+Cole Ry M3 is actually one of my favorite cars ever. I just drove the new one 2 days ago. I love it but it's outside my price range and I don't want the E90 V8 one
+BoxingWave I have a Camaro ss 2011 im also considering trading it in for this or the hellcat or a gtr. I checked out the inside of the v coupe didn't get to test drive it, but the seats are really comfortable you wont be disappointed with the luxury the video don't do justice. you should go check it out and test drive it for sure I heard that car feels really smooth.
This is actually aimed squarely at the m3, and in performance it'll beat it, but on pure refinement, not so much. I personally like American cars and the less refined rawness they offer personally, although I wouldn't complain at all if I were to get an m3 haha
Would take a CTS-V coupe over the ELR any day. The ELR is overpriced even with the tax credits. I am sure the next CTS-V will probably start at $75,000.
All GM vehicles since 2003 use the same starter, except for diesels. Most other companies like Ford Toyota and Honda are the same way. It saves the manufacturer money.
See now this one is decent. Well done America, you're catching up. No I dont mean it to start a flame war, this is a good thing. Not a fan of how it looks personally but there is no denying its a decent car. Anyone driven one or owned one? Be interested to hear a bit about the build quality. While the US have made leaps and bounds in terms of performance the cars made there ( to me at least) have always felt kinda cheap and plastic when you drive them by comparison. Anyone able to comment on this one yet? Pref someone that's also driven NEW european alternatives and can compare. Just want to clarify as it seems people are touchy about this, Im not bagging the US or anything of the sort, Im just stating my opinion. The US makes some AMAZING machines, look at the F series jet fighters for an example, just have lagged behind as far as cars go, well, until now.
Antifaith29 I've not driven it, but I can tell the similarities between this Cadillac to even a Silverado made 8 years ago. Well, at least I know it has the same starter motor as in my brother's. Very familiar sound. And I've at least sat in an escalade, and the build quality is great, but it's still no Mercedes S-Class, if you know what I mean.
***** Did you change anything to your camera? There is a popping/clacking noise right a the beginning around 0:37 and further on. I noticed it already on the BMW M3/M4 video. It sounds like the lens cover is tangling on a cord and hits the camera.
Nice supercharger noise. I find that manufacturers that put a supercharger on their motors don't really give that good of a whine when it comes to the supercharger. Same thing goes for turbos.
As usual, excellent video. On the other hand, a big YAWN on this car. Excellent? Yes. Old? Yes! I wish GM would update the CTS-V like it's non-V sibling the "new" 2015 CTS.
This car does the 1/4 mile in the 11s at 120 MPH, and can run the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes. That is a "yawn" for you? And the next CTS-V will be 2016 model.
Vernon Price No stock CTS-V that I know of can do the 1/4 mile in the 11s. 12.3 seconds tops. As the previous owner of a gorgeous 2009 Black Raven CTS-V sedan, I'm well are of how amazing these cars how. However, it's time for a refresh!! That's where the "yawn" came from.
i noticed his 2009 chevy avalanch in the backround 7:20-7:30, i know its his because he made a video of him buyig it so on so forth so i thought that was cool
Angel Lawless compared to my charger rt, not as nimble. similar feel, but V is more planted, sits lower. this is a straight line car, you’ll have to muscle it around corners, if you can keep traction lol.
All this Hate? CTS V is a bad ass car. I've shitted on M3's, Beat an M5 (20-75MPH Pull), AMG's, and recently a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S the dude was ashamed... I have Bolt Ons CAI, Exhaust. You guys hate but probably drive fucking Mazda 3 Speeds with exhaust.
this car is as good as you can get for the money, if you're looking to buy a car not just rate them off videos than this would be a great choice because now you can get them for less and still compete with cars worth way more. I go by the most I can get for my money not the best logo on my hood.
Eric Foxwell Nothing will beat the satisfaction of rowing your own gears, not even DCTs. BUT, you’re right. 6L90s are the quicker more underrated beasts of transmissions for LS motor modding and can take it with little to no modding. Can’t wait to see what people do with the 8L90 on the 3rd gen or the 10L90 on the ZL1.
It's absolutely hilarious how Europeans always look for things to complain about in American cars. What's the deal? It's a great car, objectively. There's nothing wrong about personal preference, but a real car enthusiast would never do *this*.
I'm surprised by 2015 the CTS-V didn't have the touch-surface CUE system like other Cadillac vehicles have, I assume it will show up in the revamped 2016 model (the one that will allegedly go 200mph). I wouldn't buy a luxury performance car with so much basic GM plastic on the center stack.
Whats the VIN ? Please post pic of the VIN. I know and watch Cadillacs. So I would like some proof please. If their was a special edition I would of heard about it. Explain in detail please. How did you get it ?
Easily one of the best looking cars on the road today.
Yeah I Agree
Totally
Still is
C6 Zr1 then the CTS-V V2 both street kings
And tomorrow
Do not talk shit about this car until you have driven it. This thing is a beast.
I've had mine for a month and I absolutely love it. Blessed to have it!
Black Diamond Tricoat is the killa colla!! 6-speed manual transmission too!
I got that color last week...
Love this car, thanks for the review! Sad however, that as I scroll through the comments, every other one is bashing American made cars. Real enthusiasts are a rare breed it seems...

They need to bring back the cts-v coupe.
When was the last year the ctsv coupe was made I have a 2014 coupe but the it's v6 I want to upgrade
@@roel2377 they stopped making the coupe in 2015
From 2011 to 2015 is virtually the same car . Carvana currently has five of them
Roger Smith now they make ct6 well never see it again 😩
Roger Smith I agree. They really should bring it back. And it’s the best looking and sexiest Cadillac ever made.
ZERO COOL They got that newer ATS-V coupe even tho it’s a V6 and no longer also made for now
This car is amazing. Would love to have one of these. It looks beautiful!
Vader 96 mpg is terrible
I love the sound of this car, loud and throaty enough but not intrusive in any way.
I love you
I wish the current Gen CTS V also came as a coupe.
The ATS-V had a coupe so far
@@Trillioons v6 not v8
@@GreaterThanSolomon Yea you right but sadly now there’s no current coupe.

Kyle I've been watching your videos for years and you just keep getting better each time, keep up the good work!
I own one and love every second of my life while in it. In stock form, it'll take M5/AMG both straight and curve, with ease. Just saying.
Fukn A right! It hurts a lot of feelings on the road...sleeper
I bought this car and love it
This is still my favorite car! Sweet!
Best in depth reviews on TH-cam
Thanks for the video, very informative for us who plan on dropping 35k for one.
Buying one tomorrow
Love the new Cadillac's, great looking and sounding cars. I'm glad you're doing more road tests and driving bits in your videos, Kyle!
After 7y still the best looking cadillac! .
Beautiful car!
Great review as always!
I pcked up a used 2012 CTS-V on the cheap, and man o man talk about a smooth ride.
How much man I’m looking into a used 12-13 CTS-V
cant wait for the 2016 V, i hope it's still supercharged
Right on man, that's a cool friend you got! I dream of having a CTS-V Someday. Beautiful car.
excellent review Kyle as always. I am sure the 2016 cts-v coupe is going to be awesome.
rip
Find it funny now this car is cheaper than the ELR
Haha makes a strong case for horsepower I think :P
And even the 2015 Escalade is cheaper than the ELR. Caddy should bring down the asking price by about $40K and they might sell a couple
Pat Dow Ive heard that with tax refunds, discounts, and such, the price of an ELR is about $45,000
Nathanael Corrales Are you mad? You can't get $30K in tax refunds. That would just be ridiculous.
Its on Jalopnik somewhere Pat Dow
Probably the best sounding Caddy there is!
I have a Thunder Grey 13 V Coupe with 6 in the floor. Though I have opted to swap in some performance parts and a tune, it is by far the favorite car I have owned. I am outside Raleigh NC if you ever get up this way.

Excellent review!! Love the car too! Thanks loads Kyle!!
Dang man you came up on subscribers, I remember when you was just a regular guy on TH-cam
For 65k+ I would expect this to have push button start. But still a nice video!
For a car that's 65k+ I expect 100% led lights and push button start and trans but great video!
For 2015 definitely, but since the design is a few years old and it's being discontinued, it won't receive that updated tech. Thanks!
Whats the big difference between a key and a button? Seems like buttons can just have more problems..
***** Thanks for the reply
It's the same thing as push button start, you just twist like a key instead of pushing a button. There is no actual key, it's keyless ignition. It also auto locks and auto unlocks based on fob proximity. I'm not sure what you mean about the trans, but you can get it with an auto or a manual.

Dree Taylor same.
This is a very wedgy, beautiful muscle like car.
Really like the red chaser led tach indicator.Little touch but looks cool! How's the reliability on the V??
My dad has owned the first and second gen. Neither one has ever had any issues.
the start up sounds like a hummer h2 start up, the sound is very similar.
I believe all V8 engine starters from GM are the same because it sounds just like my friends Silverado. Ford is the same way
All GM vehicles since 2003 use the same starter, except for diesels. Most other companies like Ford Toyota and Honda are the same way. It saves the manufacturer money.
Yes it's the V8 engine starters. Smaller V6 and 4 cyl engines don't need a big starter like that, so it's different

Great owner, great review, great car. Glad to see the info in such a nice video this far down the line. Hopefully I'll pick one up in the future
Love this car, But not feeling the black wheels. Would need a 6 speed manual for sure. Definitely choosing this over a C6 Z06 or Grand Sport.
It would be very interesting to see the review of Porsche Macan.
What a great car!
now, thats a really baller car lol

Kyle, your friend traded the corvette for this Cadillac?
That is a nice high quality performance car
Also good video again Kyle !!
And this beast has gone up in value over the last decade 😢
Nice supercharger noise. I find that manufacturers that put a supercharger on their motors don't really give that good of a whine when it comes to the supercharger. Same thing goes for turbos.
Throw a smaller pulley on that super charger and you'll increase the HP.
You can hear the supercharger on the new challenger pretty well
Could be supercharger noise emitted through the speakers too. I know Ford emulates engine noise in it's EcoBoost
F-150 to make it sound better
NICE 2015 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Start Up, Exhaust, Test Drive, and In Depth Review KEEP UP THE GOOD WORKE
Do the 2015 Escalade, please.
What car would you buy?? M3 e92 or Cts V coupe???

would have thought they would have put the new Digital Dash in this by now I know I would love to see it in there
I rather drive that car than a ferrari
No you wouldn't ur just saying that cause you can't afford one
The dog. So your saying that you have a Ferrari???
No I’ll still prefer a F12
for those of you that have driven/ own this car, does it feel as heavy as it is?
The sedan definitely feels its weight, but the supercharger gets it moving in a hurry.
Death Squad oh i bet. what’s the body roll/turn in feel like on the steering wheel?
Angel Lawless compared to my charger rt, not as nimble. similar feel, but V is more planted, sits lower. this is a straight line car, you’ll have to muscle it around corners, if you can keep traction lol.
what is difference between 2013/2014/2015 model? i dont see big difference only exhaust may be is changed?
