It's a damn shame they discontinued this. I get the feeling if you were lucky enough to get one in a Manual, you are going to have a classic on your hands that many people will pay good money for
I think that haters could say everything they want but this Cadillac has some good skills to show, starting from the beautiful exhaust system, performance numbers, features and base price.
Some people say that the infotainment screen is very outdated, but my god it's very, very futuristic. There's so many cars today that don't even have the amount of features that this does. Well done Cadillac!
zakary lakota Yah. Dat sleeper! Robert Zomphier My realistic dream car use to be the 2SS Camaro 1LE, but, this seems like it'd be worth the extra few hundred a month, not to mention it'd be an all around much better buy!
The engine of this vehicle is phenomenal, I'm in love with sport wagons like this! Not only for all the car platform which is awesome also for the interiors which seem to be comfortable and sporty at the same time. I haven't words to describe the aggressive look of the taillights and rear brake lights I simply love the LED's ! the black piano of the interior trim and the all black diamond wheels seem to be like wife and husband. What a car ! I think that each Caddy is designed with love.
great interior review finaly someone who explains things quickly and easily without talking to the camera like everyone who watches these videos are simple, thanks again great review
Wow! A CTS-V with a manual, that's actually pretty rare. Most I have seen on the internet and all I have seen in real life have automatics. Great vid Kyle.
This is my next vehicle purchase in February... will i be paycheck to paycheck?? probably.. but well worth it for your dream car... yes. this is my "realistic" dream car.
Robert Zomphier the interior, i love it! i have a picture of it as my desktop background :D and maybe a demo of the sound system too :) i subbed to you
Kyle this video was just full of information thank you so much for really doing a video on this. The new camera tricks are really good such as what you did with the shift knob and the closeup. Thanks again this video was worth the wait.
Rode in one of these today. It was a V wagon 6 speed just like the video. Fastest car I have ever been in. Unbelievable. Nothing like good ol fashioned American power.
It allows you to use the buttons in the car to open your garage (so you don't need to carry the remote for your garage door opener). You can program it to do other things like house lights etc.
Another way you can tell Kyle is a true car guy- when driving a manual transmission car, always set the parking brake AND put it in 1st gear. He did that.
@Saabkyle04 Just wanted to let you know that I used your video to justify my purchase of my '11 6M Vagon last year. I had to fly to Oregon to get it, so I wanted as much info as possible. Your video is fantastic! Mine is daily driven, Autocrossed, dragged, and beaten pretty hard regularly.
Just got one. Upgrading to 20" brushed & wide HREs. Love the car. The funnest I've ever owned, and I just sold my e63. This wagon is way more fun (and much faster). The ONLY thing that really bugs me - the 18 gallon gas tank is ridiculous. Someone make an upgrade please...
I know your punching yourself in the face every time you refill your tank right now with premium starting at 6 a gallon 😂😂😅 I bet you haven’t hit the gas since Biden got into office
Once you hear enough of them, it becomes really easy. There is a distinctive sound to each type of engine. In fact, once your ears get attuned to different engines, you can be a block away, hear an engine, and be able to tell if it's a Ford, Chevy, Nissan, etc.. They all have a distinct tone. I know some old mechanics who can even tell the piston firing order of an engine by listening to it.
I couldnt agree with you anymore!! Heck, im not too much of a fan of American cars but THANK YOU Cadillac for using a manual!!! I would never consider buying this car if it only came with an automatic like AMG's or M's tend to do...
Hey @saabkyle04, I was wondering if during your exhaust and engine revving you could shut the door for the interior sound(sorry if you do/did close it, my bad for not noticing), to simulate what it would sound like under acceleration if you were driving the car. Cheers mate, and keep up the great videos!
I believe this is the best car that the USA makes at the moment. It's ubiquitous to tasks in the same way that the WRX and EVO were back in the 90's. The power/practicality combo gives a feeling of comfort and luxury. But I think it's probably better with an auto.
I love the sound, even though It'd be impossible to have such a car for me, considering the fuel prices here in Sweden... It fluctuates around 14.5 SEK - ca 2 US dollars - per litre) I wonder what a litre costs in the US at the moment.
First off: Kyle, great video review! Secondly: As we can see, Cadillac is going to great lengths to find that competitive edge and with this vehicle, I say they have succeeded. I think this CTS-V Wagon was inspired by the Saab 9-3 Aero SportCombi (Saab's name for Wagon), also GM owned. I've always wanted that car because of it's aggressive and european styling especially in the back. As Saabs are no longer made, this car is a healthy replacement.
The 6MT V-Wagons are easily my favorite cars in existence. Sorry dad and grandpa, the C2 Corvette Split-Window is amazing, but the V-Wagon takes the cake.
Cadillac is definitely stepping their game up...this car seems comparable in interior quality and overall build to its German counterparts. Normally GM interiors are cheap and plasticy and I dont like Cadi for that reason, but these new ones are nice.
The other reason that would not work is cause the CTS is rear wheel drive and the '97 Deville is Front Wheel Drive. The 4.6 Northstar V8 specially designed for transverse mounting as is the transmission. You would have to cut up the firewall and radiator supports to make it fit, not to mention that the transmission bolt patter is different too. Bottom line is that it can't be done. The Northstar is an amazing engine, there are plenty of upgrades out there for it. Good luck.
It's a damn shame they discontinued this. I get the feeling if you were lucky enough to get one in a Manual, you are going to have a classic on your hands that many people will pay good money for
Your comment is ageing well!
I think that haters could say everything they want but this Cadillac has some good skills to show, starting from the beautiful exhaust system, performance numbers, features and base price.
6 speed v8 wagon? Yes, please.
Some people say that the infotainment screen is very outdated, but my god it's very, very futuristic. There's so many cars today that don't even have the amount of features that this does. Well done Cadillac!
i prefer the wagon over the coupe any day
zakary lakota Yah. Dat sleeper!
Robert Zomphier My realistic dream car use to be the 2SS Camaro 1LE, but, this seems like it'd be worth the extra few hundred a month, not to mention it'd be an all around much better buy!
zakary lakota k
ryuman757 smart choice this also has more space and more power and
Me too I love your Siamese Picture
I am truly amazed at how Cadillac revived themselves with their line up. CTS-V is truly an amazing car
getting this car this weekend, gonna take a big chunk of the paycheck. Screw it, the kids can starve
How lovely lol
Parent of the year. No seriously when you drop your kids off at school. They can get out with very smug look on their face.
Your a GREAT Parent.
So did you get it
😂
I feel like this is for the dad who hasn't given up on life yet
Lol I drive an ATS, but I'm looking to get one of this wagons soon. I haven't given up on life lol
Not really a fan of wagons but this thing is mint
Wagons are better than crossovers.
The engine of this vehicle is phenomenal, I'm in love with sport wagons like this! great interior review finaly someone who explains things quickly and easily without talking to the camera like everyone who watches these videos are simple, thanks again great review
Gotta love fast wagons like this. The stealth of a harmless wagon appearance, with the sleeper factor of an angry V8. Its just so badass!
Love this car! You, the wife, the kids, and the family dog can all do 180 mph!
Wow! A CTS-V with a manual, that's actually pretty rare. Most I have seen on the internet and all I have seen in real life have automatics. Great vid Kyle.
This car is still amazing in 2019 I enjoy her when I'm in town not traveling
De Corium Johnson You have one?
This is my next vehicle purchase in February... will i be paycheck to paycheck?? probably.. but well worth it for your dream car... yes. this is my "realistic" dream car.
Ended up getting the sedan. Wagon with 3 pedals was waaaaaay too hard to find. I have no regrets
Robert Zomphier thats so cool can you do a video of it?
Sure what do you want in the video ??
Robert Zomphier the interior, i love it! i have a picture of it as my desktop background :D and maybe a demo of the sound system too :)
i subbed to you
I'll try to make one this weekend if I have time
Kyle this video was just full of information thank you so much for really doing a video on this. The new camera tricks are really good such as what you did with the shift knob and the closeup. Thanks again this video was worth the wait.
I don't ever recall seeing a manual transmission in a Cadillac before. That's pretty cool!
Well, they started putting manuals in for the 2003 model year, IDK where you've been.
Cadillac knocked it out of the park with this one. Didn't know they had this kind of epicness in them!
thanks a lot,i appreciate your time and effort to help me. i guess i will keep my caddy the way i got it.
Rode in one of these today. It was a V wagon 6 speed just like the video. Fastest car I have ever been in. Unbelievable. Nothing like good ol fashioned American power.

Best Cadillac ever
The point of the video is that it's in depth. I love this style that saabkyle uses
i love sound of supercharger early in the morning :)

Falled in love with that wagon!
Thanks for reviewing this car with that color and those sweet rims !

Absolutely great review as always, and more in-depth than anyone else, like the usual.

I have this exact car for the week courtesy of work(GM). It's a pretty awesome car!

Love that supercharged GM power!!
i love the idea of the key fob deasign ignition rather than a push button, one of the best feeling is turning the key to turn on the car.

Looks are subjective. I think it looks fantastic!
Mom- " don't worry kids you'll make the soccer game Cadillac hoooooooooo"
Cadillac now offers a track ready hearse!
Cadillac went from this Nav setup to CUE, What a bad idea..
My thoughts exactly. What they have in place is half assed.
Oh, and I'm one of the nobodies who has one. Amazing car.
This is the coolest station wagon on the freakin planet. I want it.
This is why I love wagons this and the rs avant and the wrx sti sexiest wagons out there
corsa touring performance exhaust, he says it in the vid.
i love both the car and the video pretty good for a car review
I couldnt agree with you anymore!! Heck, im not too much of a fan of American cars but THANK YOU Cadillac for using a manual!!! I would never consider buying this car if it only came with an automatic like AMG's or M's tend to do...
welcome back!!!! I am seeing an 1080 AND GOING CRAZY !!!!
KYLE CAN YOU DO A REVIEW OF THE SEDAN VERSION
That sound ! OMG want one just for the sound
The Dart is making a comeback, though!
Id take one of these over a corvette Zr1 any day. Im not a GM fan, but this is a nice unit.
You should do the new 2016 and up cts v

love this car, iv seen the coupe and the sedan but i have yet to see a wagon
I'm so glad it's a manual. The last few CTS Vs were auto. Also I love the wind of a supercharged engine
OMFG HE SAID SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!! "This is gonna detailed educational presentation of the..." WOHOO! Aha kidding. love your vids :)
saabkyle04, You're THE BEST MAN!
I'll miss you dearly CTS-V. Enjoy the best of discontinued valhalla, along with the likes of the NSX, Skyline, Supra, Super Bee, Dart, AMC, etc, etc.
I love the sound, even though It'd be impossible to have such a car for me, considering the fuel prices here in Sweden... It fluctuates around 14.5 SEK - ca 2 US dollars - per litre)

I love this sound
This car makes wagons cool again
It's a informative video. It's for information about the car for potential buyers. Or people interested in cars.
i'm in love with that one !
The 6MT V-Wagons are easily my favorite cars in existence.
Sorry dad and grandpa, the C2 Corvette Split-Window is amazing, but the V-Wagon takes the cake.
