    I really like your OSD layout. Any chances you could shared the OSD settings you have configured by doing a diff dump in the iNav CLI.......or is this a DJI OSD through your goggles?

    • @kibbycabbit
      @kibbycabbit  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you. Yes. It’s an OSD for DJI Goggles. I’m sure it’ll look better on HDZero and DJI Goggles V2 using WTFOS firmware.
      Ok I’ll post my CLI lines for the OSD soon.

    what flight control system are you using? how did you make all the data appear in the fpv view please? and what transmitter are you using including the system like elrs? or crossfire...

    • @kibbycabbit
      @kibbycabbit  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello, I use SpeedyBee F405 WING APP. It pairs with DJI Goggles 2 (or you can with DJI Integra Goggles). All information will overlay on screen in goggles giving you all the necessary data like battery, location, etc.
      For this plane, I use ELRS with TBS Mambo transmitter. I normally use TBS Crossfire but the antenna is kinda too big so had to stick with ELRS for smaller antenna.

    Did you use the LW-PLA slicer profile that Bambu shared or created your own?

    • @kibbycabbit
      @kibbycabbit  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Used PLA Aero profile and fine tuned from Bambu Lab article about RC airplanes then saved to new custom profile.
      Helix has two printing configurations. One that will not have bottom and top layers. Both will use vase mode.
      I use PETG for all other pieces. Ie: motor mount, landing sled, battery mount pad, etc.

    Thanks! Can you share a bit more regarding the electronics you used?

    • @kibbycabbit
      @kibbycabbit  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Components used in the wing:
      - HappyModel ExpressLRS
      - SpeedyBee F405 WING APP
      - CaddxFPV Vista with Polar Starlight
      - Flywoo mini 10th gen GPS
      - BLHeli_32 45A ESC
      - XING PRO-E 2207 1800kV
      Next build if destroyed from crash, next component change:
      - XING PRO-E 2208 2450kV (higher RPM - improved auto launch)
      What’s changed in iNAV with 1800kV:
      Idle throttle to 1850
      Launch throttle to 2000
      With 2450kV, test above values. If excessive, try 1400 idle and 1800 launch. That’ll ease on ESC, motor, and battery.

      @Monty_FPV 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kibbycabbit I'm building this right now and having motor issues. What exact ESC are you using and what type of battery? I have the same FC. Thank you!

    • @kibbycabbit
      @kibbycabbit  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Monty_FPV What's wrong with it? Does it not spin or spin too slow?
      In my build, I use SkyStarsRC Uranus F4 32bit 35A ESC with iFlight XING-E Pro 2207 1800kV. Motor data sheet says 1800kV can be powered by 3S to 6S. Also if you choose higher RPM rate, 2450kV can use 3S to 6S as well.
      If you wanna get 2450kV, you can use either 35A or 45A ESC. If you plan to move ESC to different wing in future, maybe get 45A so it's future proof.. it's some grams heavier.

    • @kibbycabbit
      @kibbycabbit  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Monty_FPV Additionally. any ESC will do. Just make sure you get one that says 35A of any brand. I picked SKyStar Uranus F4 because it has BLHeli_32 which I can program it using BLHeli configurator. Very useful, for example, some ESC are preprogrammed to cut off if it detects low voltage.. Some other ESCs may have it already turned off by default. For example, Lithium-Ion Polymer (Lion) can continue until 3.0V each cell. Don't want ESC to disarm thinking I discharge battery too much.

      @@kibbycabbit Good looking out! Got the hobby wing platinum thinking it was boss but it is apparently pwm/standard protocol only so it makes my motor run horribly with an FC. Getting an ESC with dshot support and blheli_32 seems the way to go! Thanks!

      It’s a whole different world. Yes it’s another hobby to get into. Too much fun. I recommend getting one that says PNP. Avoid KIT. Once you get hang and wanna assemble from scratch, get kit.

    Could you share your configuration for Autolaunch? What made you crashed 2 times?

    • @kibbycabbit
      @kibbycabbit  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      First crash, incorrect motor protocol, my ESC was old model, accidentally set to DShot600 where it only could do either Standard or OneShot125. So motor didn’t spin after throw.
      Second crash, I picked 2207 1800kV motor using 5x5 prop. To my miscalculation, it spun at low speed at 50% throttle. 2207 1800kV was meant for 6S battery. I used 4S which reduced thrust to weight.
      Third throw, increased idle throttle to 1850 (88%). Increased launch throttle to 2000 (100%). Changed motor delay to 100 (0.1s). Default was 500 (0.5s).
      For my next launch, I’m thinking maybe do 2000 at idle throttle which would help my toss. So it could go up in air better. But be aware of battery sag or ESC for continuous current draw.
      My motor could pull as much as 30A so I got 35A ESC.
      My configurations are mostly defaults.
